You can gain a lot of insight by visiting Military Region IV Museum in Vinh. They have a good collection there.
Vinh is a meeting point north-south. It has a railway and a port and is simply a working town. Otherwise it has nothing to recommend it - pass through as soon as possible.
I live/work here in Vinh but for no longer than necessary!
Vinh is large sprawling town which pretty much is and administration capital for the area. There isn't much to see or do other than use it as a stopping point for the night to travel to better places.
Interesting Marked, good Pho there. Recommend Cafe Retro. Very large Ho Chi Minh statue. Museum about Nghe Tinh Sovjets and uprising 1930-31.
A change is needed in this format. If you are going to require me to choose an answer then provide other with the ability to explain.
I would recommend this city for nothing. Industrial port city that is filthy, poor and nothing to do.
in vinh city, there are lots business chance.near this city, u can visit lots famous places in this country.
so u may feel better to see daily life of vietnam or just drop in this city for leisure...it might be good. seriously this city is normal but most of people are nice
There's nothing to be seen. And if you want to go to Ho Chi Minh's born town - Kim Lien, be ready to give 25$ for driver (no English speaking guide)
The city has a few sites of interest but no real tourist infrastructure. the airport is very small though reasonably serviced by at least 3 airlines.
The province itself has a number of areas worth visiting but one would need some time for exploration
There is no tourist stuff there. I couldn't find anyone who spoke English. But we walked through the markets each day and drank cheap beer on the street.
Went to the "Big C mall" to enjoy the air con and some cheap Vietnamese food.
Friendliest people you could wish for but just no reason to come here unless you are stuck for transport out of Laos when it is Chinese NY and Vietnam transport companies operating in Laos have shut for 2 weeks of holidays
