My stay in the hotel with my family for vacation is fantastic. The staff are friendly, professional and prompt in their service. The food in the hotel restaurant are nice. We like the swimming pool and the children playroom the most. Only one bad logistic issue that does not reflect the hotel's culture and image. Everything in the hotel is spick and span, except for the old iron and ironing board when I needed it to iron my clothes. In fact I have to ask for a second time before they gave it to me. The reason being they does not have enough "old" iron to lend it to me and I have to be put on the waiting list. After much pressing before they deliver almost immediately. But fortunately, the staff still bother to rectify my problem. Overall, I would recommend this as the best hotel in Yogyakarta.

This is the best hotel we ever stayed. The staff are very friendly, helpful and thoughtful. We request for a morning call as our daily tour start as early as 4:00AM local time and the front desk staff never failed to follow up with us about the our preferred breakfast so that they can get their chef to prepared for us to take out. The breakfast is a complimentary with the room we booked and yet the staff is thoughtful to prepared it for us. I think the manager really train their staff well to understand the true meaning of hospitality where even a 5 star hotel might able to provide this kind of heartfelt service. The room is very clean and the bed is super comfy. Daily room service to tidy up our room was given an excellent service as well. This is a worth staying hotel as a very reasonable price lets not mentioned their buffer breakfast where we manage to enjoy it on the last day of our vacation. the lobby is bright and full of friendly atmosphere. all staffs welcome anyone with warm smile and are very willing to help. the room here is spacious. and the ambarrukmo plaza shopping mall is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. the garden is very well maintained. breakfast buffet is really great. they have quite a lot of traditional dishes for breakfast and very good options of western breakfast too. although the spa/massage was not available while i stayed, they offered to give me a free ride with the hotel car to their related hotel for spa/massage. i visited other huge five star hotels in town, such as hyatt and sheraton. this hotel is smaller than those famous hotels and it doens't have exotic outer appearance as hyatt or sheraton has, but the sincere service and extremely comfortable environment are way better than any other attractive tricks. in terms of price, this hotel is really worthy of the money. it is cheaper than most of other five star hotel, and yet it beats them in so many ways. this is indeed the best hotel in yogyakarta, so i will definitely come again if i visit here!

We lodged in two rooms, one single room on 3rd floor with spacious comfortable bed, clean, neat, though small but very well arranged. Other two bed room on 2nd floor for my two growing boys. Its a modest stay, perfectly match with the location and surrounding. Breakfast is good and sufficient, only need to find the right time to get a nice table near the pool, otherwise the resto is too small for the many guests they have. Staffs are very nice, fast and competent, even to organize and get my rented car parked and retrieved from somewhere, as the parking place in front of the hotel is too small for more than 10cars. The street is narrow and need to be patient for getting in and out with cars, but its yogyakarta anyway, enjoyfull. There is prawirotaman tradisional market at one side of the hotel, the street will be blocked from that end during early morning time. in all, a good priced, well located, artistic and nice hotel, with its forgetable minus.

To sum up, this hotel is simply amazing from all point of view. Personally I would say this could be one of the best hotel in Yogyakarta and one of the best that we have stayed throughout our travel around the world. Excellent hospitality from the point of check in to check out. The hotel is located 0.5km from the biggest shopping mall in Yogyakarta (the Ambarukmo Mall). The hotel provides complimentary shuttle services to Ambarukmo Mall/ Lippo Mall and also to the famous Malioboro street shopping district. Malioboro street is around 20 minutes ride from the hotel. Room: We stayed in the premier double room. The room is clean, comfy and huge, The birthday setting was superb with personal touch from the hotel staffs. Cleanliness it top notch. Common area: No matter which corner you walk to, the entire hotel is clean and shining at all times. 6 star! Check out their green house/hydroponic garden. A must see. Pool: Big, clean and suitable for both adults and children. Breakfast: One of the best spread that we have seen. Overall it exceeded our expectations. From Indian food, to local and western, name it and they have it all right there. Complimentary cakes, cappuccino or even espresso!!! I will take some time to honour the following hotel staffs who had gone beyond their time and effort to ensure we had a fantastic stay: 1. Via - Verandah Restaurant - Excellent personal touch in preparing our cocktail. Very attentive and humble, 2. Jasmine - Retreat Spa -Though we didn't use the spa this time, the spa looked amazing. She took the time to take me for a tour and a personal thanks to her for recommending a nice hangout spot to chill out in town. 3. Retno - She was simply fantastic. From the point we arrived at the hotel, she was right there waiting for us to ensure that we had a smooth check in. She treated us with Bak Pia while waiting for our check in. The best part, she brought the birthday cake to our room to surprise my wife with a birthday song. Best birthda

This hotel gave us the best time in our first trip to Indonesia and Yogyakarta. I would like to specifically commend the staff who assisted us in every way they can - Supriyanto, Victor, Tya, Vriska, Debbie and the shuttle driver who took us to the airport (didn't get his name). Everything is perfect from check-in to check-out. So hassle free and very professional in their service. It's very close to the airport but a bit far from the central Malioboro. Our vacation is perfect because of this hotel. Real value for money. The only thing that I can complain about is the dining/breakfast - hope to have more variety each day. And our last dine-in, we got a very tough meat (lamb and beef). Other than this, all is just perfect!

The exterior of Melia Purosani looks very pretty. It overlooks the cityscape and the position of our assigned room is facing where the sun rise and sets. The deluxe room is huge for 2 persons, and every day there is a complimentary snack. It's a nice gesture after a day out traveling! The restaurant where it serves breakfast has very good chef! the Nasi Padang is our favourite on the Menu. Generally the food quality and taste is above average as it suited our taste buds. One of our good experiences in Yogyarkarta! This hotel is definitely a must-visit! It's a stone throw away from Malioboro shopping district, the Ambarukko mall if you would like some variety shopping and it's a 30-45 mins away from Airport. Such ease! Thank you to the staff who worked tirelessly over the Puasa Holiday to make our experience in Yogyakarta one of the best!

We booked four rooms during our trip to Yogyakarta. The staffs are amazing, they do their best to meet our needs. We requested for connecting rooms and they fulfil our request. We love the pools and also the outdoor garden. The only improvement for them is to clean the room carpet as stains are visible. We had wedang ronde (ginger drink) at night and the peanut we had were stale and they have no kolang kaling / palm fruit / atap seed. We didnt have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. The hotel is located within walking distance from malioboro street, but far enough so we were not stuck in traffic. Nearby the hotel, there is a gudeg place that is nice and cheap. We love our stays there and will come back again when we go to Yogyakarta

Very unique hotel, the first European-styled hotel in Yogyakarta. The room price was very affordable and the service was pleasant!

This is a good hotel in Yogyakarta. A little out of the main tourism area but not too far and good for business travelers. The highlight was an extremely helpful manager (Mr. Oke, I think?) who went out of his way to ensure everything went well and even booked a dinner for my team at a restaurant after I'd asked him for a recommendation.

The moment I step my foot inside this hotel, I fell in love. <3 The staff greet me and my friend warmly and they are very polite and helpful. The room was clean and room security was excellent. They provide daily room service and they provide kettle but no refill for complimentary tea and nescafe but it is still acceptable for us. Bed and pillow were really comfortable. This hotel is nearby Malioboro road and Malioboro mall. It is also just 100 metres from Tugu Train Station (Yogyakarta Station). If I ever come back to Yogyakarta, I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Why I chose this hotel? It because many travellers from Indonesia and outside rated it as excellent hotel in Jogja. This hotel located about 10 - 15 minutes walking from Malioboro and Taman Pintar. Also located near the Bakpia Pathuk shops. I got my room upgraded to excecutive room (wooow) without any additional charge. The room is spacy, so we didn't feel in the small room. This hotel is have good breakfast quality. The service from front desk and staffs were good. I think the price is also cheap enough compared to waht we got here.

Of all the three Yogyakarta hotels that we stayed, Grand Aston was our firm favourite. Although we had an initial glitch with one of the lady receptionist when checking in, it was soon forgiven with the quality service of the other staff. One shining example was Mr. Hakim, Grand Aston gym instructor. Being on holiday, we wanted to have our fitness checked amidst the food feast. On top of giving us advices on workout routines and diet plans for the four days we were there, he also gave us local tips. The entire lobby staff , except for the grumpy one who checked us in, were very helpful. We were asking so many questions and were taking up their time, but we were always treated patiently and was never rushed. We were also pleased with Pejamata spa, affordable and most importantly, good and relaxing. We highly recommend Grand Aston Yogyakarta and are looking forward to our next stay in Aston Makassar.

5-star quality hotel in a good central location in Yogyakarta. Great value for money spa and the hotel is right next to a large shopping center with a hypermart for daily necessities and a money changer with the most competitive rates I’ve seen while in Indonesia. The layout of the hotel is slightly inefficient while the entrance to the hotel is hidden behind the shopping mall. Overall, great value for a newly furnished hotel with exceptional room layout and comfortable beds if you want to consider using this hotel as a home base for daily excursions to Borabudur or Prambanen.

I have stayed in more than 100 hotels and neo awana is the best ever hotel I have stayed. The staffs are super friendly and willing to give the best service for us. After this neo plus awana will be my only choice in Indonesia. Keep up your excellent service. Well done

We - a family of 12 travelling with six teenagers - had a wonderful and relaxed stay at this hotel in Yogyakarta. The pool is abosolutely lovely, the rooms are spacious and very clean. There is a nice strong shower and a kettle in the room for making tea or coffee. The personnel are very sweet and eager to help in any way. We recommend to everyone!!

We had a very good time at Pesonna Malioboro Yogyakarta hotel. The location is great, just a short waking distance to Malioboro street and many other attractions. The rooms are quite big and very comfortable. The staff were also very nice and helpful. They really made their best to help with anything we needed. Highly recommend.

The most pleasant stay that I had in long time. The location is great, and the staff was friendly and charming, just like the beautiful city of Yogyakarta. A truly heartfelt service Breakfast buffet was excellent, great coffee by Illy, with egg station and all. Food choices were rotated every morning. BUT, It has the worst shower design compared to what I have seen so far.

my stay at the all seasons was wonderful. i am very, very happy with this hotel and will definitely stay here again the next time i am in yogyakarta. the hotel is very new and decorated in a fun, bright colour scheme. the rooms were big and comfortable, with a lovely big shower and plenty of storage space for all my luggage. there is an ipod dock in each room and a modern lcd tv. my favourite part of this hotel is the sky bar and pool area on the 7th floor. i thought this was the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of jalan malioboro. from here, you can sip a cocktail in the pool and watch the sunset. i have lived in indonesia for a while, and this hotel offers the best cocktails i have found in this country. the food served at the sky bar is also delicious, and the service is perfect - which is hard to come by in this country. my only complaint about this hotel is that the breakfast downstairs on the 1st floor did not include a lot of western food. there was only 2 boring cereals, stale bread, a few tiny pastries and 2 kinds of fruit. my friend ordered eggs, which never arrived. this was disappointing, considering that half the guests were western, and did not have enough food to eat, and also disappointing given the fantastic standard of every other aspect of the hotel. despite the breakfast, i would recommend this hotel to anyone. the position is about 5 minutes walk to jalan malioboro. it is the perfect relaxing base for a trip to yogyakarta.

We enjoyed our week at this hotel and had a really good time using it as a base for trips around Yogyakarta (Borobodur, Prambanan, Yogyakarta city). The lake view rooms are great as you can watch the fish swim past your room or even feed them (great for kids). Everything was in good condition and well tended, the breakfast buffet was huge with a lot of different things to choose from. Things to know: There isn't much to do within walking distance of the hotel (apart from eating at the Westlake Resto), so you do need transport for everything else (not a problem though, just use Grab or BlueBird). You can have your clothes cleaned at Mama Laundry on the main road, but brush up your Indonesian as the owner doesn't speak much English (you'll manage though). Don't be afraid to ask for a knife at breakfast, they actually do have knives (at least one :-))!

it is my 2nd stay at this hotel, friendly and polite staffs. Clean room, comfy bed and breakfast is ok. Hotel located at the heart of Yogyakarta Malioboro. Easy access to everywhere, shopping malls, restaurants and local culinary streets food. Opposite is the Yogyakarta train station, mind with the sound of the train. Will stay here again for my next visit to Yogyakarta.
