East coast is the only best part of the city, other than that, everything is dull. I hope that more Chinese personnel employed in the hotel or hospitality industry would study english even just the basics.
Since I use to stay in this area only for work, not time to walk around, but I knew that there are so many hot spring nearby, only take an hours bus can rest the resort and spa places.
Next time I will spend few days to walk around the whole city.
Nice place to shop around. Food are nice but have to find correct location. People are not honest, have to be extra careful, better don't talk to any people that come to you.
Gongbei underground mall a shopping place must visit cos everything can get it with value money. Zhuhai fisher girl a place to go as this is landmark of ZHUHAI
Zhuhai is a FANTASTIC city to visit. I have enjoyed my trip and I can't wait to go back. It is a clean city located near the water and beautiful landscape.
People smiles a lot and are very helpful. I took a sightseeing tours and even though I did not speak Chinese, the tour guide and the passengers took excellent care of me. I would not hesitate to go back in a flash.
Places to visit are Zhuhai fisher girl, summer palace, Gongbei underground shopping, Lian Hua Lu (walking street), Shijing Mountain, Meixi Archway, etc.
You may hire a taxi to QianShan for Mutton Pot. You can also travel along the East Coast of Zhuhai for Outdoor Activities like beach, zoo, theme parks.
Fisher statue, Haibin recreation park, Shi Jing Shan Park, International trade shopping mall, zhuhai departmental store, zhuhai duty free store.
underground shopping centre is where most of the reasonable shopping is. But got to bargain for most if not all items with no fixed price tag.
I don't know if anybody goes to Zhuhai for fun, it being an industrial city and all. If you want fun, go to Macau, it's 15 minutes away.
As far as I can see, it's a city tailored for business people to spend a couple of nights in. It's not an undeveloped backwater like, say, Yiwu, there's quite some nighlife here and much more foreigners to hang out with. Think of it as of a mini-Guangzhou, with everithing you need to relax between meetings and conferences during your business trip, but nothing more than that.
busy gongbei and port plaza area is most attractive to visitor, closing over to Macau at the immigration can be quite frustrating
Its very convenient to cross over to Macau, and once you get to macau there is free shuttle services to almost all major hotels.
a lot of spa and massage parlours in zhuhai, single travellers can stay overnight in the spa if they dont want to book a hotel.
Very friendly city, somewhat more "civil" than other parts of China. Encountered professional staff in hotels and restaurants.
Nice friendly southern China city, less populous than other areas, a lot of shopping districts. Good launch point for Macau trip.
We went Zhuhai from Hong Kong by ship so I enjoy the 1.20 minutes at the sea. A very beautiful scenes along the coastline.
In Zhuhai we took the local food was nice and reasonable price. We bought a lot of dry seafood at the market which was cheaper then our country.we love it.
Zhuhai is a port city that connects the special regions of the PRC to the mainland; a good access point for travellers.
Zhuhai is a modern city only developed over the last 30 years. My husband remembers it as farmland back in the 60's.
It is modern and clean, but bus service is poor. I would recommend the bullet train as it will take you to Hong Kong or other big cities where there is more history and sight-seeing to do. If you like casinos and shopping, Macau is worth visiting - just expect 1-2+ hour waits to exit and enter the borders as Macau is still a separate country from China.
Zhuhai is the nearest Chinese city to Macau. If you stay in Macau, you can avoid the high prices by visiting Zhuhai.
I always go to Zhuhai for work and enjoy it very much.
Zhuhai is a nice place for holiday. Food and accomodation is cheap compared to the neighbouring Hong Kong and Macau.
We were there in July so it was a little warm, but we had a great time with the hotel personnel and the local folks.
Everyone was friendly, helpful and warm. I don't personally speak Chinese, but my fiancé and her daughter's and nieces are Chinese residents and I could tell by the interaction that everyone we met were courteous and friendly. One of the nicest places I've been in all my visits to China
If you want to save money in accommodation, Zhuhai will be your choice. With cheap hotel, food and good quality.
Excellent! Zhuhai is a shopping paradise. Easy access of transport to all places of visit. Foods are wonderful.
This a great place to get away from both Hong Kong and Macau. Pleasant, clean, affordable, lots of night life.
very clean city, not so crowd, romantic, anything you could find there.ok its not a big city but you will love it.
Zhuhai is quite a huge place. It will be better to rent a car or take bus to visit various attraction sites.
The underground shopping is a very huge area and sometimes a person may get lost in his or her direction.
I return to this city at least once on my trips to China due to it's exciting shopping in the Gongbei area.
Also many of my clients are first class yacht builders in the PinSha area.
Must shop at GongBei underground shopping complex. There are restaurants, beauty services provider, etc.
I was in Zhuhai for one day and one night. It is a city with a more relaxed pace of life than guangzhou.
The highlight of the trip was going to the Wan Zhai Seafood Street. If you love seafood as some of my travel companions did, you will find this place very interesting. First, choose the restaurant you want to go to, then you will be asked to purchase your own fresh live seafood from a whole street of seafood stalls at the back of the row of restaurants. You should ask for at least a 20-30% reduction from the offer price that the vendors give. Compare a few stalls too. If you are not into seafood, you can marvel at the range of seafood and dried seafood available. After that, you can head to Lian hua street for simple street food fare and a small night market. In the morning, wander around the alley near Kingdo Hotel where there is a market place and you can try their local fare at local prices. At the checkpoint between Macau and Zhuhai, there is also a shopping complex with clothes/accessories/sports equipment etc stalls where you can purchase items at near to distributor prices. Again, do bargain.
Very commercialised. Fast growing city good for business. Very close to Macau, Hong Kong, Shengzheng.
For couples, you may spend an evening along 情侣路 (couple street) cycling or sightseeing. Beautiful sceneries. You can view Macau casinos and the bridges! Before heading back hotel you may spend ouple of hours in any of the spas, relax and enjoy a good foot reflexology. Afterwhich, trust me, you will have a very goodnight sleep!
