Amenities were provided in sets of 3 even though the old ones hadn’t run out. Bottled water was provided twice a day. Finding a place to eat requires some effort & Havelock MRT is 500 meters away. The bus stop is close, about 100 meters. Highly recommend the hotel with a price of 2 million per night, which is like around 3 million. Definitely coming back.

My 4 night stay at the Copthorne King’s Hotel on Havelock Road, Singapore Overall the stay was pretty good. I booked the Queen bed room, which was nice and spacious and clean. Other good points include a clean spacious gym, a nice spacious outdoor porch for seating at level 3, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Cleaning staff were professional in cleaning, and were attentive and accommodated to my requests, which definitely improved my stay experience. However, there were points for severe improvement as well. My room had a very slight musty smell, it was Not a bad smell, but it was a noticeable slight musty smell, which I suspect could be coming from the carpet. On the 3rd night of my stay, around 6pm to 7pm, there was a very strong cigarette smell in my room, which I suspect came from the ventilators. Myself being an asthmatic patient and a non-smoker, found this extremely irritating, as asthma patients cannot inhale smoke or second hand smoke. However, I was so tired from the day’s activities that I chose to not report it to staff immediately, and went to sleep instead. Such smells are not acceptable for a 4 star hotel such as this. The frontline / reception staff also shocked me by how seemingly rude some of them (not all) came across to other customers which I noticed. One instance I saw a reception staff being slightly aggressive to another customer, who had taken a photo of another staff member who the customer had deemed served him badly. Regardless of who is at fault, I believe customer service staff should not be aggressive even in the slightest to customers, and instead speak politely and firmly if need be, but not slightly rude or aggressive, which will make guests feel uneasy and unwelcomed. On another instance, a personal experience, I had enquired for the rates of the room as I was deciding to extend my stay at the Copthorne King, However, the reception staff, a female member of staff, had told me to check it online myself, which I found strange. Could she not help me check it on the spot as I was already standing there in front of her ? I accommodated her request to check online, but after standing there for an extra 10-15 minutes, there was no result, even with her help to check on my mobile device. I proceeded to ask a total of Three times, yes three times for the room rate, after which she finally decided to reply to me with the exact rate. I found this very annoying, as it should be a basic common reasonable request to ask reception for the hotel’s rates, and the receptionist wasted my time by her insistence on ignoring my requests and only replying after the 3rd time of me asking. I believe this was done on purpose, for whatever reason. In conclusion, The property boasts comfortable living spaces for guests, a good spacious gym and a nice outdoor porch, Good cleaning staff, But it has many many lacking points which must be addressed should they wish to ensure their guest’s satisfaction.

It was quite close to the MRT Havelock TE line, and one MRT line switch away from Bayfront MRT station for Sands Expo. It was clean, but… it was not ESG-friendly/green to me because it doesn’t have that electric on/off when the card key is inserted. It’s relatively cheap, convenient. And it’s great to stay in.

I requested an extra bed and they prepared it, and we comfortably stayed there as a group of three. It was nice that we could easily use the gym, swimming pool, and breakfast facilities! The front desk staff were friendly, and above all, the laundry service was great and they cleaned the room every day, so I was extremely satisfied! We were charged SGD 6 for a small bucket of ice cubes to the room & later discovered that if we had gone done to self- collect, there wouldn't be any charges. The staff did not tell us about this when we ordered thru call. When we informed and requested that the SGD 6 to be waived since the staff did not inform us about this and it is not fair for us to pay when the communication error was at their end, was told that the bill was already opened and charged and nothing could be done. The staff also told us that in future, they will remind the operator to inform about the charges and still denied to waive off the ice cubes charges ! 2ndly, the room came with balcony and a passcode was given. However the passcode was not working and we could not even open the balcony door. It was such a waste to pay extra to get that balcony room but it was not working. Other than these 2 issues, the stay was great. The staffs very friendly. And the location was good.

The location is about a 5-minute walk from the nearest station, but there is nothing around the Havelock station, so I often used the Seven at the neighboring hotel. The hotel building is surprisingly old but clean. There is also a pool, gym, and sauna, which I didn't use. There were two issues. One was with the card key, and the other was with the door to the balcony. The card key was working fine at first, but suddenly stopped working, and although it was repaired, I had to wait. As for the issue mentioned by others about the "balcony door not opening," that seemed to be in my room. While it wasn't smooth at first, it managed to open and close, but my companion found something like a piece of paper stuck in the door and pulled it out, after which it wouldn't open at all. There were no issues with the staff's response or the amenities.

It is close to the Havelock Mrt station, just a short walk away. The room is spacious enough and the bed is comfortable. U get all the basic amenities and a water dispenser inside your room. After a tiring day, you can even soak inside their bathtub to release all the stress. Breakfast is good with adequate spread of food. Staffs are helpful. Overall a good hotel with the price charged.
