The ladies in charge of the guesthouse are amazing, they have hosted me with the most authentic and welcoming Ethiopian hospitality! Breakfast is excellent, and I've experienced the making of a traditional coffee. They also promptly helped me to arrange the best and cheapest transportation to Bahir Dar. I enjoyed so much the stay at Lalibela Mini Guest House and truly recommend this place to anyone.

I live in the East of Ethiopia and frequently travel through Addis, spending 1-3 nights in hotels each time. Hotels are very hit and miss, and we never see consistency and quality, even in hotels we return to. Hometown Addis is a refreshing exception. The staff was very friendly and warm, the facilities were clean and built with quality materials. Its a quick drive to and from the airport and has an excellent pizza restaurant 1 minute walk from the hotel.

Our first stay (arrival in Ethiopia) was okay- our room was ready when we arrived late at night and the bed was comfortable Our second stay (departure from Ethiopia)was disappointing- the room we reserved and paid for well in advance was occupied so we were 'downgraded' to a room which had just been offered to another guest even tho' it was only 11:00 am. The room smelled like backed-up sewer but otherwise was okay although there was no power or water until late that night.

Enjoyed my time here, all the staff were wonderful/ The food was great I think the best salad I had during my 2 months of traveling through Europe and Africa. Lovely balcony to have sunset views

This is a good accommodation facility considering “The best Value for Money”. My 2nd-time stay was much comfortable with all uninterrupted service.

The room is clean, staff is very helpful. The location is quite difficult to find as its not on main road, so make use of the airport shuttle they provide.

Honey Land Hotel, staff, and Lilibella has been my best experience while traveling through Ethiopia (5 weeks). The staff at the hotel are kind, generous and go out of the way to please their customers. The hotel facilities are great . In addition the hotel provides tours to the local attractions at a good price.

I arrived late at night and was warmly welcomed and food and drink were available. My room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful. I felt they were eager to make my stay a happy one. I was very impressed. If I ever have the happy chance to go back to Ethiopia this hotel would definitely be my hotel of choice in Addis Ababa.

This hotel was clean, there was decent food, but it is not safe for ladies. Street local guys can easily enter and bother women. I have nothing against decent locals, I am talking about street guys who try to get some money from tourists or to pick up a western woman. Once a bunch of them entered the hotel restaurant and started bothering me. I had to leave. Same story was with the hotel driver (local) who was taking me to a far away church. He was disrespectful and was trying to touch me. I would not recommend this hotel for women.

Highly recommended place to stay. It is near to most tourist locations. Since Addis is a walkable city, it was easy for me to go around from the hotel (even Entoto mountain).

Clean hotel good food nice dining area and well situated. short walk ro St George Church , the lakefront and business area .

It is a very clean and comfortable.The staff were incredibly friendly and polite,great value for money.I will definitely come again.

The positives first: good infrastructure (building, rooms, backup generator) and fairly good location, quired. But. Bad management. Bad experience from pickup at the airport to checkout. Airport transfer - advised driver would wait inside the terminal - no he didn't. Website advises buffet breakfats and free wifi. Day 1 no no buffet - advised this is only done between 9am and 10am, not earlier. Free wifi - well, it's free, but it doesn't work - 10 days/nights we had a few hours of actually working internet. Restaurant (compared to similar hotels in the vicinity - bad and overpriced (we usually were the only guests). English - just a few selected staff. One receptionist with a particular bad attitude (advice: you don't want to work there - resign!). Wakeup call (checkout) 15 minutes late. Sadly the space here is limited - many more issued. Overpriced compared to similar hotels in the vicinity. Avoid this hotel.

I have stayed in lots of hotels in Ethiopia and in Addis in particular. I have just booked my 4th stay at the Kaleb Hotel. I have found the staff there to be excellent and attentive. This is the best hotel that I have stayed at. The receptionist (Kobob) was excellent and always helpful and extremely friendly and professional at all times. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The breakfast is probably the best that I have had in Ethiopia. There is always a great atmosphere at the hotel. Busy in the evenings in a nice bar, but you are never disturbed by the noise in your room. Internet is good; rooms are clean. Choose this hotel. Great value. Great staff. I would not have just booked my fourth stay if it was no good.

I always sanitize the floor and bathroom when I arrive. This is the 1st hotel in Ethiopia that I have stayed at in which the cloth came away clean.

Clean, comfortable - and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Would stay there again if I were in that part of Ethiopia as a traveler.

I had an 18-hour layover in Addis and decided to venture out into the city. Reserving a room to get a little rest and to shower before my lengthy flight home seemed like a good idea. I read a great review about the Caravan Hotel in my guide book. After searching a little, I decided to secure a reservation. I think my stay there was the highlight of my visit! The free shuttle picked me up from the airport with minimal waiting time. I was greeted by a very charming front desk person who got me checked in. I arrived around 6:30 am and was granted access to the included breakfast, which was pretty tasty. My room was spacious. After a nice shower, I headed out to explore the city. I did have a little trouble finding the hotel at the end of day since it is a little off the main road, but some local residents helped me out (and it added to my adventure!). Upon my return, I had a restful nap on the comfortable bed before being shuttled back to the airport. The value was excellent!

Did not get booked room but Queen room instead. It was meant to be more comfortable. Not sure it was. Surprised when a coffee cost 20 birr on first day and 25 on next - a major price hike. And no warning. It is the principle that counted, not the exchange rte as such. Equally surprised when breakfast room attendant turned off light over table, without saying anything, because it was 10am, end of breakfast time. Customer first? Hmmm. Nevertheless, it was a repeat stay and overall it was good.

Initial suite was unavailable, so they tried to downgrade my friend and I. Then they tried to move us into one suite. Both times not offering any refund or discount. One room ended up having very wet carpet and smelt terrible. So many things within the rooms not working. Every order of food took a really long time and was poor quality. Staff didn't take responsibility for any of the issues. The worst place I've stayed in a long time. There are many better options that are also cheaper in the area. Avoid at all costs. (Location is decent)

Excellent​ service mind, staff are very kind and nice. Comfortable room and good location. Next time in Addis Ababa I will choose Momona hotel again

I would highly recommend, the staff were friendly. The hotel was clean and well maintained, the management and staff alike were all delightful, the breakfast was one of the best I have had.

It was made memorable solely on account of some wonderful staff and flexible admin. Without much a do and nothing extra we were given a suite as the room initially given was too small for us. It is definitely a 'value for money' hotel.

Kefetew Guesthouse is absolutely one of the best places I've ever stayed! Genet, the owner and host, is incredibly hospitable and kind. She drove me around Addis, shared meals with me, showed me the sights, and became a wonderful friend. She is very helpful and extremely accommodating! The guesthouse itself is very beautiful... the photos don't do it justice. My room was huge and extremely comfortable, and the design of the whole place is fantastic! Agadey, who works for Genet, cooks incredible meals... not only did I have included breakfast but often had lunch and dinner there as well, and the food is easily the best I've had in Ethiopia. The location is great - there is a main road a short walk away with some shops, cafes, and supermarkets if there's anything you need. Addis is quite spread out so you'll need a driver to get to many places, but if Genet doesn't drive you herself, she'll arrange a wonderful driver for you.

They changed me more than the price was listed online I booked online then I god charged 50 dollars more

Good place with fairly fast internet. Staff are very helpful and the location is excellent.
