We stayed here four nights, three with an Exodus tour. In spite of this we could not get any discounted price for the fourth night with the hotel, hence booking through Agoda which was cheaper. I stayed elsewhere on my first night due to the cost offered through my travel agent. The hotel was nice though with a good comprehensive breakfast. The rooms were kept too hot but it was possible to open a window or door to cool it down. Also the mattress was hard but this was the case throughout Mongolia.

Frankly, Springs is somewhat overpriced, but in fairness so is every other hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Rooms are clean, the beds are unusually comfortable by Asian standards, and the staff are extremely helpful and speak excellent English. The Korean restaurant on the 2nd floor operates independently of the hotel and should only be regarded as a last resort in, for example, extremely bad weather – many other dining options within five minutes' walk of the hotel offer better food. Veranda is probably the best of the nearby restaurants.

I've stayed 5 different hotels in UB and it's been the best so far. Location is over looking the central square, staff were amazingly attentive (trust me, this is very difficult to come across in UB), the room was comfy and the club lounge was nice. The staff at both club lounge on the 23rd floor and premier lounge on 25th were very nice. Perhaps I don't need to look for the 6th hotel next time when I come to UB?

Everything you'd expect from a Shangri-La. Staff is very service oriented and go out of their way to serve you. I needed some medicine and they went to the pharmacy for me and brought to my room. Hotel is very new and nicely decorated - only open a month. Rooms are spacious and have standard amenities for a 5 star. Had been traveling in the countryside and the splurge for our last night here in Mongolia was worth it. Lobby is nice and welcoming. I only stayed one night so can't comment on any restaurants. The main square is about a 10 min walk away. I'd stay here again.

We traveled for business and stayed here one night. Hotel is clean, comfortable and functional. We stayed in standard twin room. Room was spacious, beds was very comfortable. Internet was fast. We did an online conference with my HQ. Business lunch in pub at the 16th floor was cheap and tasty. Receptionist recommended us to visit SPA. The spa was new, comfortable and had Russian style sauna and jacuzzi. The massage was relaxing. Overall I liked the hotel and will stay again in the future.

The hotel is by far one of the best in the city. The staffs are most helpful and engaging. Service is promptly and efficient. The two in house Japanese restaurants serve fairly authentic Japanese cuisine. The rooms are clean with functional amenities and is fairly spacious. The only slight down sides are the occasional small power glitches in the room which plays havoc with the in house cable tv and the Internet is not as fast as I'd expected; but perhaps it is because mine was a corner room. Definitely a choice you can't go seriously wrong with. I highly recommend it.

We booked the standard room with 2 single beds. The beds are a bit short for anyone over 6ft but we had comfortable sleep otherwise. Complete basic amenities and everything is quite clean. The staff were very helpful and efficient since we had several issues due to a snow storm when we were there. Close enough to a monastery (nice pics) and restaurants (plenty within walking distance) and State Dept Store (less than 2km walk or 5min by taxi)

The main reason I chose the Chinggis Khaan Hotel was that it had a swimming pool and sauna. I was very disappointed that they were closed for maintenance during my stay. The receptionist who I spoke to told me they would re-open next month, which meant I could not use them. The room was big and comfortable, but my toilet seat was partly broken. The room was clean, but I noticed two flies in my room on my first night. There was a well-stocked mini bar, but the water was not complimentary, only the tea and instant coffee.There was direct access to a shopping centre across from the hotel, but on one day access from inside the hotel was closed, so I had to go outside and walk to the shopping centre. The breakfast buffet was good, but there were never any scrambled eggs and though you could often have an omelette, you couldn't have it made according to your specifications. The employee just made omelettes and left them for guests to take. There was brewed coffee, but it wasn't very good. On the last two days of my stay, there was no breakfast buffet. No explanation was given. Maybe the chef got sick, but at the very least, I thought the hotel could have compensated its guests in some way. There was free wi-fi in my room, but for the last three days of my stay, it didn't work well, In fact, it didn't work at all on the last day of my stay and there was no wi-fi access in the lobby. There was supposedly a Mongolian restaurant on the fifth floor, but I never saw any guests eating there except in the morning when the breakfast buffet was offered. Also unfortunate is that there was no menu for the Mongolian restaurant. On the first floor there was a Chinese restaurant, but I didn't eat there. The hotel is very quiet, but it's a little far from downtown. It takes ten to fifteen minutes to get downtown on foot. The staff speak good English, so communication is not a problem. In my opinion, this hotel is a little expensive. In hindsight, I wish I'd chosen a different hotel.

Though it is a bit far away from city centre, about an hour drive, there is a warm welcome from the staff. The room is spacious and very comfortable, clean and large window wall that you can enjoy the scenery of glassland just siting in sofa. The restaurant food is superb, we had tried three meals there and the horse head performance show after dinner. There is an English speaking guide for translation for every activities you join, performance show, horse riding, massage and even during the drive back to city centre. We had a great time there and will definitely visit it again next time I come to Mongolia. Though it is a bit pricey but worthwhile anyway.

I booked this hotel through Agoda for its good review and value for money. Overall I had a peaceful and relax one night stay. It's value for money and good location within 10 mins walking distance to Chinggis Khaan Square where most of the shops and restaurants are located. There's no price indicated for the items in the minibar. The hotel management may want to improve its services by listing down the price of the items in the mini bar. A bottle of mineral water cost me USD1.38 which is rather expensive considering that most other hotels will give it as a complimentary. The receptionist was helpful in helping me to book a taxi to the airport with her limited English. The trip from the hotel to airport took about 25 minutes.

At a very reasonable price, Royal House provided true hotel service, nice additional facilities such as restaurant, bar, billiards (if you reserve) and weekend karaoke (karaoke is everywhere in Ulaanbataar, if you hadn't heard). The room was fabulous including a separate living room and comfortable bedroom. The only marginal area was the bathroom that was somewhat small and had some shower leaks (it might have just been our room), but don't let slight criticism discourage you from this excellent value.

I booked twice so please check the other review as I won't repeat myself. Kaiser is the perfect base for a holiday in Ulaan Baatar and even when youre heading outside. i went to Khustain then to Terelj and the huge Chinggis Khan Monument at the "Golden Whip". Kaiser is perfect because it is set back from Peace Avenue so this is a quiet place to be, but it's easy to walk to watch movies (yes they show Hollywood fare, Spiderman 2, Rio 2, and a Mongolian movie at a nearby cinema). I would walk to Sukhbaatar Square everyday which also has the museums, the opera house, the post office in its vicinity. Forget the alarmist notes from online travel sites and even LP, I could walk around without fear even at 9,10, 11. I even came out from the cinema at 1 AM. Before i forget, I got locked out of the hotel when I came home from the movies at 1 AM. I had to wait for 15 minutes before someone finally came. They should have a door bell for this eventuality, and when Ulaan Baatar is frozen at -1.3 degrees at 1 AM, this is a considerable debacle. However, I have to say that the staff in this hotel is nothing but warm, helpful, accommodating. Kaiser was my home away from home. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this hotel twice a year, for the last 4 years, and everytime look forward to coming back. This year, the breakfast was greatly improved offering wide selection of buffet as compared set menu in the previous years.

This is a spa center that happens to also have 7 hotel rooms. The room we stayed in was massive and had many amenities not typically found in UB hotels (Japanese toilet, fully stocked minibar, big screen TV, in-room breakfast) and at very reasonable prices. After spending 2 weeks in different ger camps every night, this was a welcome respite. And I haven't even mentioned the spa. An entire room filled with Himalayan sea salt, 3 gorgeous ger-shaped saunas, hot tub, pool, steam rooms, meditation rooms, on and on. Best back massage ever. The only downside for a first-time in UB tourist like me would be its distance from downtown UB (25 min walk, 5-10 min taxi ride). To be honest, that was an upside for us in the end- we even extended our stay an extra 3 nights rather than move downtown to our previous booking!

It is located a little far from the centre, but the staff were very accommodating. Hot water or lack of it was an issue and breakfast was just okay.

I was incredibly impressed with this hotel. It is located near the railroad station and a staff member met us at 5am with a free ride back to the hotel. They proceeded to let us check into our rooms early and even gave us breakfast that first day. This exemplary customer service continued throughout our stay. All of the staff was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to show us the city. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for great customer service, a clean and comfortable room, and convenient access to the train station.

The Gers were well kept, cozy, and comfortable. They arranged for a driver to pick us up in Ulaanbatar so we didn't have to worry about finding it. There is a little lodge where they serve meals and ask you in advance to select something from the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. The only thing I will say is we asked for a horse ride and it was a pony walk across the street and back; this was disappointing. So if you want a horse ride maybe book through a service instead of through the Ger camp. The camp itself was stunning and the stars were incredible at night.

An amazingly place to stay with great staff. Very helpful in planning tours for Mongolia and providing info about UB. Place is kept clean and the kitchen is available for free tea and coffee. Dorm was very big with very comfortable beds. Out patio os good to hangout at night. Close to Seoul street and places to eat. Again the best part is the hospitality of the staff which is second to none.

Super friendly staff, best value in Ulaanbatar, clean rooms, strong WI-FI on all floors, excellent tours, good place to meet other friendly travelers. I traveled Mongolia for 3 months. This is one of the best places I stayed in the entire county and certainly the best I had in Ulaanbatar. Once I discovered it, I stayed there every time I came back to Ulaanbatar. The staff treated me Great and always made me feel welcome, they treated me more like a friend then a hotel guest. They helped make my time in Mongolia very special! I Highly recommend that you stay here when in Ulaanbatar.

Came to Mongolia on a whim. Anon (the owner) helped with everything from planning to arranging a tour (driver/guide). He is professional and trustworthy. He speaks fluent English. The hostel is situated in a very convenient location (Dept stores/loads of restaurants/etc) and you can basically find anything and everything. The hostel facility is very clean and well kept by Anon and the cleaning crew. I honestly had a very very pleasurable stay here. I am planning to return here again towards the end of my trip. Highly highly recommend this place!

My stay at the Corporate Hotel was a very good one. The staff in particular is very helpful and speak very good English. Also the location of the hotel is good. And the facilities (gym, restaurant, rooftop bar) are good too. Room was a bit worn out but it didn't really bother me much - not sure what the general quality of hotels in Ulaanbaatar is elsewhere... Overall, ok value for money.

Hotel did not charge me for last minute cancellation for my early booking due to my flight delay.

Zaya 1 is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. A family owned and run business, it is conveniently located (close to the State Department Store), clean, VERY competitively priced, and operates in a friendly atmosphere. The brothers who run both Zaya 1 and 2 speak fluent English, and offer advice and help so willingly and genuinely... it's a really lovely experience. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in UB.

We paid 80usd/day for a total of 8 days tour across the Gobi desert and central Mongolia and it was the time of our life. The package was actually the cheapest (we surveyed another 3 tour agents in Ulaanbaatar). We had a wonderful and skillful driver, a good tourguide who was also our cook, unlimited supply of water, comfortable stay at local gers, also tickets to national parks and other attractions. The guesthouse is located at Peace Avenue, which is the main road of Ulaanbaatar, with easy access to shopping complexes , multi-national cuisine restaurants and public transport. The halal indian restaurant Hazara is within walking distance. The awesome and authentic Korean restaurant Shalom is just next door to the guesthouse. Victor was awesome and helped us planned our itinerary. Other staffs also speak fluent english. We had a great time in Mongolia thanks to them.

the hotel room was big and the bed was comfortable. my only complaint is the noise in this hotel, the hotel offers karaoke in one of the rooms upstairs so during the day you can hear people singing bad karaoke and in the night there are many clubs nearby which are blasting music until 3 or 4 am. so ask the hotel for a room not on the road side or you won't get much sleep. other than that the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the restaurant was nice.

Really love my stay with this family who treats guests with sincerity, offers free airport transfer and provides hearty breakfast. There's a place for currency exchange right opposite this guesthouse, which exchanges Singapore dollars (not commonly available). As every car can be flagged down as taxi (similar to Uber/Grab service) but we are unable to communicate in Mongolian, the guesthouse owner (Urnaa) wrote for us the "agreed" price and location on a post-it to visit the black market. Location is quite central and walkable to the state department, post office etc.
