I stayed here for 3 nights while finishing up some work for a consultancy in Maputo. What a world away. The place is flawless, excellent everything. The breeze off the ocean is absolutely priceless and I left my windows open all day and night. The diving was great. Food and staff fantastic. Oh, and I got all my work done on time :) I will do my best to come back ...

Disappointed with the room - dark & dingy. Bed very uncomfortable, with cockroaches in the shower and ?rat droppings around the sink. We were going to let this slide as we only had a couple of days here but the rusted shower broke and wouldn't turn off. We had to move room as they couldn't fix it. This was the final straw for us, especially given the price. Management ...

The staff were so welcoming and their service throughout our stay was first class. The room was very nice, comfortable bed and excellent mosquito net. It was so lovely waking up, opening the blinds and looking out onto the sea and beach. The hotel pool was beautiful. Vilanculos was a lovely place and felt very safe to walk around. The hotel restaurant and Casa Rex wer...

This hotel is a business travelers facility. We arrived at 6:30 pm and there was no option for eating at their restaurant, nor were there any restaurants nearby. The front desk suggested using a taxi to get to a restaurant but couldn’t advise us in any nearby. Another client suggested a small Chinese restaurant two blocks away. It was good, but this hotel is a good dis...

We have a confirmed booking but when we arrived was told, no room instead they put us into another lower standard hotel by the name of Atlantic and was told to pay the price of Hotel Maputo when we check out . They don't even provide us transport to the other hotel, we have to make our own arrangement. The servi...

This is an excellent hotel in Maputo. The cleanliness is great and the WiFi connection works fine inside the room. The official rating is 3 star, but I think that it is not far from a 4 star rating, the hotel is that good. The restaurant is excellent, the breakfast choices could be a little more versatile. There is a 10 minutes walk from the hotel location to an inters...

I would highly recommend this place! Their dining/lounge area is great and we really enjoyed our private hut. The location right on the beach is nice and you are near some local restaurants. They offer great tours and all of the staff are really kind and helpful. You are a little far from the center of town, but it is easy to catch a ride there. Its a great place ...

One particular staff, a lady by the name of Berta, constantly asked for bribes throughout our stay at the hotel. From me, she asked for "tips" if she extended our stay at the hotel, from my friends, she asked for their iPhone case, lunch money etc. If we can't trust the staff at hotel, it gives guests little faith on the safety of our personal belongings in our rooms. ...

We recommend that visitors previously contact Coral Lodge to book the trip between Mozambique island and the lodge by boat.... It's much easier and it doesnt cost more. The lodge is located on a beautiful beach, the service is excellent, as the food and the villa... It's possible to make snorkeling, kayak and go by dhow to other small islands or even to Mozambique isl...

We initially booked a standard room but upgraded to a bigger suite when we arrived. The room was very nice, great views and clean. The spa bath however was not working and we requested a room change, which we got the next day. All of the staff were helpful and friendly in the reception and on the deck restaurant and bar areas. The "lady" (manager /owner?) we are not ...

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Babi. It was so cosy. Every night a set menu was made which was wonderful. Dinner was at 19.30 and the guests ate together. This felt homely and made you meet the other guests. Service was extremely good despite people having to cope with lots of issues in Mozambique, such as lack of electricity (you always need to have a generat...

The stay was very nice I think right now in Beira the Golden peacock is one of the best hotel in town but for that type of hotel they need to train their staff well I'm sure they will mature with time but they need well train staff for that hotel.

Right on the beach front with stunning views. The dining room produced some of the best local food we have had, seafood highly recommended. The office seemed a tad dis-organised at times though. We had pre-organised a ride to our dive centre with them for early morning, however on the day they claimed to have double booked their car and asked fellow guests who were als...

From the moment I walked in I knew I would be happy there. I had to spend quite a lot of time working in the guesthouse and my room was just lovely. It was room 7, a king size room that was the last one available but in the end I didn't regret the expense - it was well worth the extra and I had a lovely large desk to work at. But it was equally great sitting outside i...

Host blamed Agoda for incorrect pictures. I needed an upgrade, when i expressed my disappointment. This was a bit better. I was charged USD93 for the shack- total rip-off and expected the upgrade to be at same price but it wasnt. This property was disappointing to the extent that I would request a refund...because it was misleading

Despite being a bit off the beaten track and being a rather quaint town, Ponto Do Ouro is a must for anyone that is looking for a break from the normal holiday destination. Devocean's accommodation is very comfortable, they offer great food, have friendly staff and a great conversationalist in form of the wonderful host Sean. A short walk to a magnificent beach through...

Having left Letaba Lodge in the morning and travelled through Kruger Park to the Giriyondo border post and then through the Limpopo National Park, we had no idea what to expect at the end of the sandy road that took us through several lovely simple villages...we were absolutely thrilled when we arrived at Covane Lodge at found ourselves on the banks overlooking the rem...

POOR !! Towels are hard, old and had a bad smell (stale and sour). The fridge in name only and without the cooling facility (the owner admitted that is the state thereof). Advertised as a fridge ??. WiFi in all rooms included (as advertised on Booking.com). Actually you have to pay for the facility !! Location is of ghetto standard..drinking place across the road and o...

The place was clean and bright with some of the best air conditioning in all of Mozambique. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. The location was a short walk from downtown and right on the water. On the downside, the restaurant was lacking in ambiance and the staff were a bit hit and miss. Overall, a nice place and would definitely go back.

This is a very nice hotel with a great view. The architecture is superb. I would easily give it a 5 star except for a few minor things. The shower drain was very slow. We would end up in an overflowing puddle of we didn't turn off the tap now and then when we were showering. The toilet didn't flush properly. We reported this to one of the cleaners but when we came ba...
