Our stay was perfect. Clean and friendly staff (specially stanislaus from the front desk was really helpful). The hotel confitions are excellent and the rooms very clean. The only problem was that we arrenged a transfer from the airport but it did not appear so we had to take a taxi (anybody in the hotel gave us any solution after that). Also, the prices of the restaurants inside the hotel are crazy! Really expensive. It is better to walk around 2 or 5 minutes in the beach and you can find best quality restaurants and prices.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in stone town this is the place!! Great hospitality and stuff!! Early check in or late check out they were so helpful. The best taxi driver stands right in front of the hotel and his name is Mr. China and he gives us the best deal.

Note that the impressive skyscraper that is portrayed for this hotel is not belong for the hotel only. The hotel itself occupies only few floors on the top and therefore actually quite small. Nevertheless, that is good hotel fairly similar to any European hotel of the same star rank. Breakfast was excellent. The only drawback is mediocre bar where alcohol is banned, even beer. I'm not sure why is it so because it is not total alcohol bar in the country/city - there is a bar on the street nearby.

Just returned on 1st September 2018. Had very relaxed break for 10 days. Very quiet holiday and feel so relaxed. Great venue with unspoilt surroundings. Access from airport 1hr To main town and shopping 1hr. No local shops. No local Restaurants Great place to relax, very quite. Provides excursions for those choosing to explore or for diving. Food was very good quality and ample portions. Great pool area. Small beach area. Coast can be explored at low tide as water recedes past reef. Cycles avavailble for local exploring and visiting local villages and beaches (within 5km). Excellent staff. Very clean rooms.

Rooms: My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. We initially got the ground floor room which was already good but we got upgraded to the seaview room Siti Bint Saad- one of the best rooms in the hotel! And it was amazing! Bigger than our room, with balcony overlooking the turquoise waters.. Breakfast- we love that there are always new dishes, especially the savory ones. There is also a wide selection of pastries.. It was not tiresome menu! Egg omelette station is also there.. fresh fruits, cereals... and the view from breakfast conplements the atmosphere Amenities- we liked the pool as well! Deepest end at 3meters and the area is quiet and hidden. There are ornate beds and chairs to relax in Interior- since the building has been existing since the 1800s, it is a perfect mix of old and new. We eapecially liked the wooden staircases, balconies and the doors! It is really very beautiful! Location- can’t complain.. convenient by taxi, close to restaurants historical spots!

I really don't know where to start, I had such a great time at Azanzi Beach Hotel that I still sort of have a hangover from my experience in the resort, even if almost two weeks has passed since. The Management and Staff are nothing short of excellent, that i am just very grateful they provided me with 3 days of a great time. During check-in, Manon gave me one of the warmest greetings I've experienced in all my travels. She explained everything well and during the rest of my stay, she made sure that I was having a good time. The room exceeded my expectations, it was so big and it was all mine for a few days. If I had my way I would just have had stayed inside the room, but of course, It's Zanzibar and I had to experience the Beach, and Azanzi's Beach front is just wonderful. I actually spent a lot of time just staring into the ocean. I love that the place is quiet and relaxing, I knew I made the right choice in booking the hotel when i saw the facilities, the beach and the staff. The restaurant serves great food, I specially liked the Swahili buffet, and of course drinks at the bar. P.S. Service at Azanzi was topnotch! From the front desk arranging a Spice Tour for me to the housekeeping and the maintenance guy who fixed my lighting, everyone i met made me feel so at home.

We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning, but were warmly and efficiently greeted. The room was very comfortable with good space to hang your clothes.there was a fridge, tea making facilities and bottled water every day. The shower was roomy and worked well. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel was well situated for the sights of Stone Town. There was a garden at the back of the hotel which was nice to relax in with a drink. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel, and will probably stay there again on our return to Stone Town

This hotel was wonderful. I spent three days in total here, one in a double balcony room and two in the suite (free upgrade who hoo!). This hotel was clean, the rooms were lovely with very comfortable beds and working A/C. Honestly the best part was having a shower with great water pressure....I would stay here again for the shower alone! The staff were very friendly and prompt. Also enjoyed the restaurant, the food was good and fairly reasonable on price. Should be noted that this is an alcohol free hotel. Location is right on the beach!

Stayed for one day. The hotel is in a convenient location close to the Zanzibar Ferry. Also the rooms are clean and very well equipped, WiFi was the best i had in Tanzania. The pool could not be used during my stay, since the cleaning took a whole day. Gym and restaurant were fine. When i checked out, staff seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with the payment process. Also the taxi i asked them to order hours before was not ready, so you better remind them twice if you are in a hurry. All in all i would probably stay there again, next time hopefully with a cleaned swimming pool

The hotel it’s self it’s beautiful,the food is delicious cleanliness need to improve, and hotel needs to add few staff like more coffe,milk, teas option in the room ,cleaness need to be improved and air freshener, fridge smells so bad we couldn’t used it , Also the pillows were so stiff no mattress protector or pillow protector it was hard for me to sleep until I used one of my dress under .I will come back if fix all these small problems. Water park its very old need to be repaired, it’s dAngerous for kids theirs no health and safety at all , swimming pools all are green and full of dirt , swimming tubes are shaking (I went to speak with a big guy called him self a supervisor in the water park ,said everything it’s fine and undercontrolled well he is lying) kids are full of adults my , fun zone and baby area need be to closed down seriously I have took some pictures so I can post online other parents to see .i don’t recommend anyone to go to the water park .

Villa Fleur De Lys is an awesome place to relax and gives you amazing views of the ocean. The staff has been very welcoming and friendly. It started with Zoe after the booking, she is quick to respond and even arranged a last minute ferry pick-up for us. Abdullah, our transport, waited patiently in the terminal - very professional and car is clean and well maintained. Mona, Juma and Fauster took good care of us and made us feel at home, served us good food and arranged all the excursions at a very reasonable price. These guys are simply amazing! I would highly recommend Villa Fleur De Lys if you are looking for a quite place to relax and unplug. You can easily spend hours on your balcony sitting and staring at the ocean!

We booked the hotel for 7 nights and unfortunately checked out after 3. The good things: the staff! Everyone is very helpful and always welcoming, especially Theresa, the reservations manager who was very helpful and understanding of our issues. The beach is very relaxing. The room is well-cleaned. However, I would say it is not a 4-star hotel and the cost doesn't match the value. The location is in the middle of the village, and everything that happens there is heard. There is no air conditioning in the room and the fans are not enough. The doors are not sealed, therefore bugs come in through the cracks. We had no hot water pressure in the shower. It is important to know that you cannot brush your teeth with the water in the sink (we were given 2 water bottles every morning. We moved to a different hotel in the area, so we know it is not the case for all hotels). There were wifi issues. Breakfast was insufficient and the dinner was pricy.

Best Western Coral Beach is nestled inconspicuously right beside the Yatch Club. The view out of the sea-fronting were breath taking and meant to be enjoyed from the balcony. The solid timber flooring and open bathroom are a unique hotel experience. The staff are friendly - always asking is everything is OK, and if I needed anything.

When booking for ferry to Zanzibar island use the Kilimanjaro booking office don't use agents they will charge you twice as much.

Can't fault except on one major goof up and no remedial action! My booking ws done by Agoda.com and paid as such to Agoda. The hotel staff charged my credit card $ 220 for the stay without my knowledge. Once I found out their mistake, told them to correct and reverse charge by crediting same amount to my card. They said sorry it will take 4 to 5 days, some banking excuses given for delaying paying back their mistake!!!! This is not expected of Hilton Group!! Saying sorry is fine but hello you made mistake, reimbusrse me immediately my money!! And they could have said sorry in so many ways, not just saying so!!

Overall very good hotel with good value. Friendly and effecient front desk; house keeper very polite; breakfast included in the room rate not bad. Will definitely recommend it.

Very comfortable hotel with all the amenities one would expect in any typical 3-4 star American hotel

I found this place very near to all services and in the hub of city capital Stone Town. Spacious rooms, traditional Zanzibari furniture, quiet at for good night sleep, very helpful and welcoming staff, immaculately cleaned and maintained, well managed property at a low budget rates for all sorts of visitors. Great reception and stay with true Zanzibari hospitality at it's best. Will definitely make this hotel as priority for my next visit to Zanzibar. I highly recommend it for all kinds of visitors to Zanzibar.

Maybe it was our really high expectations that made us a little bit disappointed with our stay. The room was nice and clean - but the very slow ceiling fan didn't do a lot to cool us down during night. Good towels! Good mosquito net. The restaurant had the slowest service I think we have experienced in Tanzania - which is not such a big deal if the prices weren't so high compared to other restaurants we visited. The dishes were not that good either - avoid the salads and the "tapas plate". As a vegetarian there was only one Swahili dish on the menu - pretty good but not something you can eat for both lunch and dinner during several days. In general the best food was probably the pizzas and the pasta - but come on, I can eat that at home! The samosas were really good too, not to forget. The biggest problem was always signing the bill (to put the cost on our room) - a few times we actually left when we had enough of waiting - without signing it. The first night we ordered the Piña Colada which was supposed to come in a fresh coconut - but it didn't. Kind of disappointing! Ndame offered really good sun beds on the beach. Also towels for the beach! That is a great service. We asked the staff to organise a transfer to the Rock restaurant - but when we showed up it wasn't booked. We did two other bookings where everything worked well though! In general the staff was very nice :) The beach is nice but with a lot of sea weed etc. We came from Kendwa and Nungwi in the north and maybe it is not really fair to compare, but that was "unfortunately" our point of reference. The tide makes it impossible to take a dip for several hours per day! Luckily there is almost always a nice breeze which makes sun bathing amazing anyway :)

we stayed at this hotel at the beginning of our trip & then at the end of our trip. The first time around we were upgraded & the room was very spacious. the breakfast was great. And the second time we were in the standard room which is rather small but still really nice. My only complaint would be the receptionist reciting a welcome note like she was made to memorize it. Although it did make us laugh. The reception can be rude & unhelpful at times but generally they were okay. The management was extremely friendly.

Amazing service. food could be better but there are many food places around. They go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy yourself

Very friendly staff - room, pool, garden cleaned up several times a day. Good breakfast buffet with superbe view on sea. Surprised that only few guests at this time - the money sticks in European, especially Swiss pocket - where are the guests ?? Nice bar @ hotel pier. Should have more infos/prospects about acitivies/day trips around the area..Swiss airline crew should join Hotel again as a base. Dani, Zurich.

I stayed there with my dad for two nights which had given me a inerasable memory. Nice staffs, clean room, amazing view and swimming pool. They serve high quality food with comparatively low price too. Dont forget to try seafood grill (35 pp but you will get more than you expect)

It was very decent, its one of the best in the location. Staff performance are great, just during the check out could be improved. Highly recommend in Dar downtown.

Lovely, brand new Hotel. Owners and staff were very friendly and provided plenty of information about Zanzibar. The food was very good! There is nothing bad to be said about this hotel! But you have to be aware that there is nothing much around! Still you can do trips an stuff from there.

I absolutely loved the property. In fact my partner & I agreed it was possibly the most beautiful hotel we'd ever been to. I've been to over 50 countries, and i can absolutely say, this property is spectacular. The villa, the private pool, the view, its all simply sensational! Moving onto the bar & restaurant. The bar made very nice Caipirinas, a tad expensive, but tasted worh the price. Dinner however, while it was tasty enough, is a little on the small side, considering the price. The real let down however, was the service, and i dont mean dinner serivce, i mean service from the management of this hotel. Let me started by stating this company has a number of high quality hotels around Zanzibar. And most of them are indeed high quality establishments. But during our, during our first night, I had USD$600 (1 millions Tanzania shillings & USD$150) stolen from my room. And this is where things got awkward for us. I didnt notice the theft until the following morning, although its almost certain that the money went missing while we had dinner on our first night. After reporting it to the manager the next morning, we were instructed to go to the police. Now, having lived in Zanzibar for some time now, I knew what that would entail. And lets not forget, it was cash that was stolen. Upon reporting to the police, the police advised that they COULD investigate, but of course, they needed my support. And by support, they meant money. Now, anyone with half a brain would understand, whether in Europe, or in Africa, cash money is exremely difficult to track & trace. So the question was whether i should spend an extra $100, possibly even $200 to have the theft investigated, with little to no chance of ever recovering that money. I chose to close the case & investigation. I was not prepared to lose an additional few hundred dollars waiting for a call to tell me the money was not recovered. We spent two nights as part of our honeymoon at Kisiwa House. The hotel itself is a hidden gem - it's not obvious from outside but it is a lovely, impressive building from the inside...a former colonial house that was converted and renovated and just exudes a cool vibe. The room was nicely decorated and appointed, with a HUGE bathroom. Stone Town itself is very small and all the various tourist sites are just a few minutes' walk away. Africa House (one of the best-rated bar/restaurants in the area) is just through an alleyway, so there are good options on the doorstep for food and drink, that back right onto the beach. Staff were friendly and courteous, as well as being helpful in arranging a driver to take us to Nungwi Beach, in the north of the island at what we believe to be a fair price. I would definitely recommend Kisiwa House to tourists wanting to stay in Stone Town on a trip to Zanzibar

My partner and I had a short stay here, but we enjoyed our room and services offered, especially their breakfast. The staff ensured that we were comfortable and happy, which was much appreciated after a long journey to Tanzania from the US.
