Nice bed, nice staff, nice area”
Near tempo doloe gelato, mini market every where, restaurants. Nice large room with complete amenities, nice bed, good wifi, nice staff. Just no lift, check in time must be from 2pm, breakfast need to improve for menu, no swimming pool for children.
a lot of food stalls around the hotel, which made it a big plus during our stay there.
I was a solo traveler. No regrets choosing this hotel. There are few restaurants and bars along the street. A gelato shop within 1 minute walk from the hotel is my favorite! It’s very famous among the locals. The room is very spacious! Clean and tidy.
Good located hotel”
The hotel is located at the famous street, but quiet area. It is not far from a traditional market, a leather shop and several bars. The room is very big and all facilities are ok. There was no elevator, but the staff helped me with my suitcase.
Value for money”
Old hotel, dont have lift only stairs, but they have a pool. Very basic bfast. Value for money especially it’s holiday season. And the most important the hotel is right beside Tempo Gelato, famous gelato in jogja.
Spacious room and great location”
worth for money and close to many tourist attraction, will definitely come back here. The room is also clean, staff very friendly.
Hotel in middle of city, old but clean”
I booked this hotel because of the high review from all the traveller and what i expected is according to all the reviews been made. hotel room is clean friendly staff walking distance to many nice restaurant good pool view big room i booke deluxe twin and i request for a double bed, firstly the hotel replied that i book on twin bed, so they couldnt help it, but when i arrived, they provide me double bed. a good customer satisfaction experience
Visited March 2018. Our first return to Yogya after 22 years. Really enjoyed staying here. It's a pretty good location - just far enough from the main city & main roads but close enough to get around in just a few minutes. "Grab" cars are easy, reliable & economic to use. GOOD POINT: Very quiet place. We had an upstairs room at the rear of the hotel ... really big, clean, spacious rooms with large comfortable bed, TV, ac, fridge, kettle. Large cupboards & clothes area. Tons of TV channels - Natgeo, Fox news/sports/movies, Aljazeera news & more. Choices of about 25 movies on-demand (free). Large bathroom. Hot water took a few minutes to arrive but it was VERY hot. Poolside is peaceful with plenty of loungers Lots of great restaurants nearby (best : Mediterranean, Easy-goin). Big supermarket within 5 mins walk. Hotel bar serves good coffees. There's a safe in reception Staff are (as usual in Asia!) nice, smiley & helpful. ON THE DOWNSIDE:not much really ... No room safe, shower head dama
This hotel is what you're looking for in this area...it's new the rooms are large and clean, the hotel is peaceful with large foyer area and a large clean and seemingly always empty pool. you can save five euros a night by staying in other hotels in the area but you'll pay for that by dirty rooms...noisy with traffic and possibly full of mosquito as many of the hotels and guesthouses here are. Save yourself the hassle and book the eclipse
Very good value for the price. Also the food is top and all of the staff are very friendly. Rooms are very comfortable. The Location is just perfect, around the hotel you can find many good places for food and drinks! If we come back to yogya, for sure we stay at eclipse again!!
Lovely pool, nice room, good location”
I got a great deal as it was down season and hotel was very quiet (paid a little under £20 a night). I had the place to myself pretty much so enjoyed lazing past the luxurious pool with a fresh squeezed pineapple juice or 2. Room was very comfy and nicely air conditioned. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Good warm shower and all very nicely furnished and looked after- overall a lot more luxury than what I'd been used to at this price point. Definitely recommended
Nice hotel for a stay in Yogja”
We liked our stay in the eclipse hotel, as it was in a street with lots of hotels and restaurants. The staff was friendly and also offered us breakfast box when we were leaving in the early morning for a sunrise tour. It has a nice pool and is one of the better hotels in the street. You can walk to the main attractions in Jogja, but it's kind of a long walk
Memorable Stay In Lovely Jogjakarta Neighbourood”
The staff was attentive and caring to all our needs throughout our stay. The room is big and clean. It was a pleasant surprise for the hotel to have prepared breakfast takeaway boxes for us on our day of departure as we need to rush for an extremely early flight. My daughter had great fun learning to walk in the spacious hotel lobby and hotel stairs.
Clean, new rooms, friendly staff for good stay”
The room was very clean and very new, and very big too. Very good value for the price. The breakfast was quite good, and changes every day. The staff spoke good English and were friendly and helpful. Location was good - right in Jalan Prawirotaman, which has lots of tourist-grade restaurants and travel agents. Excellent stay. Because the area has hotels and tourists, becaks are easily available too for a quick ride up to Malioboro and other areas.
Great hangout in Yogya”
We really enjoyed our stay in the Eclipse Hotel, it is a quiet and comfortable place to stay in the bustling city of Yogyakarta. The rooms are excellent: large, comfy and clean. The service is outstanding and the staff is able to help you with whatever you want, wether you're looking for tickets, advice on restaurants or a reliable taxi. It's located in one of the two areas in town that's aimed at tourists and there are many nice restaurants and bars in the close vicinity.
Great Choice Again though Differences at Check-In”
I had a pleasant experience here before and decided on it again. However, whereas in the past they had upgraded my for free they did not or would not do that this time. Can't fault the hotel after all they do have their set charges and are in the business of making a profit so I just got lucky last time. But this and the booking process were a bit unusual this time--because we did not have internet access could not reserve the room via agoda but asked if they would honor the agoda rate as before, however they would not and said we had to book it through agoda. They gave us the wireless ID and password so we could do it in their lobby but it was a little odd that they just wouldn't allow it. Also, no safe in the room. They had a safe in the reception area which was a good system, but this was a little unusual as well. Final comment, breakfast was ok-no good options for vegans or vegetarians except some fruit and bread. However, after looking at other hotels on the street this is still the nicest by a landslide with very good service.
This is in a very central location, near to all tourist attractions. Malioboro, the shopping area is jus 10 mins away by taxi. The room was big, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean, and the ambiance was relaxing.
Feels like home”
It was my first time to stay there as I was recommended by my little brother who stayed there before. It was a little bit difficult to find the hotel as I rented a car and the driver kinda confuse with the hotel name. But as soon I arrived at the hotel (I was travelling with my mom and dad also my big brother's family, along with his two young children 3 and 1 years old), I felt like being at my own home. The ambience was perfect, the hotel is very clean, the staffs are friendly. As we entered the room, it's really one big room. I booked for 2 rooms and luckily we got the connected room so it really make our trip so great. Everything just so perfect, the bed, the bathroom, the TV, everything. They also have a clean not big swimming pool which is just perfect for adults. Too bad they don't have children swimming pool so it's little bit inconvenient to swim along with young children. The breakfast was fantastic with variety local foods. The surrounding also beautiful with lots cafe and bars to enjoy the night. Definitely will come back for my next trip to Jogjakarta... wait for me Eclipse Hotel!!! :)
Nice hotel surrounded by great eateries”
great hotel, 20mins away by taxi, from Mariobollo Road. The hotel is surrounded by great places to eat - get coffee at the Ministry of Coffee. The room was big, nice bathroom, but hot water had seemed to run out by the evening. I had a room facing the road so could hear cars/motorbikes ride past so i'd recommend getting a room that faces away from the road if you need quiet. There is plenty of choice in the breakfast buffet, the staff were very attentive and friendly - helped me organise taxis. A good base from which to explore Yogyakarta.
Lovely and Cozy”
it was really surprise when i arrived here as this place is much better than what i expected. the food is also great, but a bit slow in serving. room is clean and big. one of the disadvantage is no lift. you will need to excercise to climb 4 floor if you stay on the top. in general, we are very pleased with the hotel.
