Good location ”
Very good location.about 2mins walk to the beach .alots of restaurants and coffee shop nearby.the toilet and bathroom can see through from outside .suitable for couple only .the only thingy I need to complaint is the aircon .not really cold .need to improve
This is my second time staying at this hotel. Room is clean and comfy. Nice and quiet. But however, the aircon does not get cold fast only in the middle of the night then it gets cold. The shower side abit old need to get it fix. I still think they should put a hot flask in the room. But overall still a pleasant stay. The staff kept cleaning my room. Very good service. Check in was hassle free. The reply of my inquiries was fast and efficient. Thumbs up! Basically, still love the place. Will book again next time.
Everything is simple. However hotel May consider upgrading their digital safe box to a better model. The current one has battery issues and it cannot be unlocked. Travellers with lower limb injury might consider again as the hotel has no lifts and steps are high and steep. Also, hotel bathroom has no doors at all, so everything can be seen. Other than that, this hotel is really value for money. It’s great enough if you just need a clean and convenient place to stay. Hotel staffs are very friendly and approachable !
My favorite place to stay in Patong”
I am so glad that I found ELLA. The owner, the staff, are all women; that is kind of the point .... and in Thailand that is saying a lot. They are gracious and helpful and fun. It is a quiet, clean, very sophisticated hidden gem in Patong. Located in a short, safe colorful alley, 300-400 meters from the main beach, Close enough to the party action, but far enough to not have to be part of it. Ella is both a restaurant and a hotel. Good food, fun bar. Maybe more like a small apartment. It is a minimalists, polished concrete loft with everything you need, including quiet. Very cool vibe. It would be just as cool in Paris, NY or Tokyo. No fuss, very private. Very minimalist, very modern. in stark contract to the rest of Patong, which I appreciated after being on the road for a bit. If you are looking for a sexy, secluded upscale hotel in the heart of noisy, bustling old Patong, I recommend it. I would not stay anywhere else.
Book 3 rooms for our group of 6 people. The airconditions worked really bad all 3 rooms. We were sweated all night. Tiny stairs, unhelpful staff.
Worst hotel I ever stayed, too much noise”
The owner of this hotel must conduct an audit of all air conditioner installations... the walls are constantly vibrating and generate a terrible noise. In addition to this, the windows can't close properly and let external noise bother guests at night >> A new kitchen was built next to this hotel and its air evacuation genearates a lot of noise almost 24 hours a day... it affects Rooms 1, 5,6, 9, 10... I stayed in this hotel 3 nights and could not sleep even with ear plugs... terrible experience!
Good location ”
Pros: -Great location. Just 5 minutes walk to Patong beach. Lots of restaurants near the hotel. -Nice staff -Clean room Cons: -Little bit pricey for a small room -The stairs are too steep for travelers with suitcases -They really need to upgrade their safety box. It’s not working at all!
I already miss it”
What a wonderful hostel/boutique style hotel. The rooms and the layout is interestingly done. The owner is so lovely to us and the all-day breakfast is what we makes this place stand out. Not to mention its only 2 minute walk from the Patong beach in a very happening and safe street. The balcony rooms have a nice view and the rooms are vast, bared-down and simple. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The only snag is the bathrooms don't have a door so if you are not that close with your co-traveller, you would have to make them wait outside until they are done doing their business lol
Good hotel with a not always so pleasant locat”
Great staff, Stylish, but the hipster trend is getting abit old and boring now. Extremly almost boiling, hot water in the shower. Must be 90 degression. A child could be hurt. When you walk home late at night you are harassed by bad lady boys waiting at the same spot every night. Also the middle East vendors are very aggressive and offensive and drags beautiful Thailand down in the filth. I hope the professional Thai policy get the resourses they need to deal with them.
Good location. Good food. ”
Pros: Good location. Near main strip, beach. Far enough in on a side street that there is little street noise. Restaurant/bistro is very good. Staff are friendly Cons: No elevator if you’re on a higher floor Some lights didn’t work in the room Not very soundproof. Can hear the hallway and neighbours.
Value for the money”
Pros; - Cheap - Very nice location - Helpful staff - Clean - Nice design - Overall I would stay here again Cons; - I got a very nice deal because of the season, I cannot have the same deal now - if you expect to have swimming pool kind of place, they don`t have, but come on you are in Phuket! who needs swimming pool???
The best service encountered in phuket”
From the moment i arrived, the saff made me feel amazing . I cannot recomend this place enough . From the industrial chic room layout to the amazing cocktails and food on offer. You will not regret a thing . The property is so conveniently located only a short stroll to bangla rd. I checked out only to check back in , in under 2 hours as i cancelled my other hotel .
Ella was wonderful! The food at the bar is really good. We had to leave early for the airport and the staff packed us our breakfast the night before, we really appreciated it. The bathroom was undoubtedly the best part. So huge and beautiful! The pancakes/crepes down the street was delicious as well.
Great stay, location is perfect and awesome staff.”
Pros: The staff is unbelievable, great personality all around. Helpful at all times. Delicious food from their kitchen and the ambience. Bed was comfortable and clean. The location is about 100 meters or less to the beach. Cons: attention to detail on house keeping and amenities. No elavator so a bit of drag going upstairs.
One of my favorite hotels in Patong”
This is one of my favorite hotels in Patong, the way they designed the bathroom is so funny, I loved it. This hotel has a bed and breakfast feeling. Wifi works well, bed very comfortable, and easy walk to the beach.
Near to the beach and bangla road. Excellent location, nice deco and variety of menus. Dissappointed with the steep staircase which were abit dark, quite dangerous for kids/older people, air condition is not working, (fan provided though) but its not comfortable to just have a fan with the hot weather in phuket, no 24hrs reception which abit worrying if something emergency happen in the midnight since there is no phone provided in the room.
Funky and great location”
I loved the look of this place from the photos. It has a modern industrial look and feel; lots of concrete and glass. A word of warning if you have bad knees, the first flight of stair are a bit steep so if you don't like stair climbing then maybe this place is not for you! The rooms are big looking. The bed was firm but comfortable and the pillows were soft. The open bathroom might not be to everyone's taste but it works for me. The restaurant food is a mix of Thai and Western and is modern and funky. I only wish I had found the time to try the tacos, which looked and sounded great. The staff here were friendly and helpful and the street was quiet at night. The location is great as it is only a bit over 50m to Patong beach
Great breakfast and close to big shopping district”
I'll admit, I booked Ella Bed because I loved the idea of eating breakfast any time of day we wanted. That came in really handy because our schedule was crazy. When you go downstairs to order it, they show you a menu with several choices. The huge American Breakfast was fantastic for my husband and he had to share with me because there was so much. My French Toast with Caramelized Bananas was to die for, and the blueberry pancakes were lovely too. A few things about Ella Bed threw my husband off at first glance: the hotel is down a dodgy-looking street and is very small, the toilet in our room was just out in the open (so you have to watch your friend/partner/kids sitting there), and the place is designed in a sort of New York Industrial style that Americans appreciate but other cultures might not. Exposed pipes, polished concrete, metal and glass accents. Clean and functional and kind of chic. But to my non-American husband it just looked like an unfinished basement or warehouse. He kept pointing at the pipes on the ceiling, saying it was bad construction. Hahahaha! To some it's art, to others not so much. I appreciated how close Ella was to the action in Patong, RIGHT by the ocean and a short walk to a big mall with a colorful fountain show at night and plenty of great restaurants. Lots of shopping along the way for Thai clothes and souvenirs. In the mall a cinema and big grocery store (seriously ginormous). Expect about 700THB to the airport if you hail a taxi, and that's if you book in advance (otherwise cabbies know you're in a hurry and charge more). Takes roughly an hour to get to HKT because of twisty roads. Overall I'd recommend Ella Bed, especially to westerners. Just wish they'd put a curtain or something in the bathrooms to save everyone's dignity ! ;)
Perfect for couple, very awesome breakfast”
The room was clean and very closed to Patong beach. If you were a couple it would be nicer to stay here coz there isn't a door for bathroom... so, it's kind of weird if you stay with your friends. And don't forget to have a breakfast ( it would be started since 9:00 AM), it's so delicious ! The best breakfast that I ever had.
Awesome location, awesome food”
Awesome location, located in a soi just minutes away from Patong Beach. Stayed in a 4th floor room, room was clean and comfortable, with see through glass toilet. Might be awkward for some. Awesome all day breakfast served, the hashbrown from the full breakfast and the chicken porridge was super yummy. Downside is that the hotel has no lift, so carrying your luggage up and down may be challenging and there was water leakage during heavy rain as we were at the top floor.
