Returned back to Gorah ”
I fell in love with this place in 2013 and wanted to bring my husband here. Although we had rain the whole time, the staff made the best of our time here. There is a different majestically quality to Addo and the Gorah concession in the rain. This is a place where you come to nurture your soul.
We stayed at Gorah for 3 nights. It was an exceptional stay. You really get spoiled by the staff. The food was excellent the game drives fantastic and the tents were luxurious. The staff was very caring and friendly. Worth every Euro we spent for this stay. We will come back for sure!!! Thank you for this wonderful experience!!!!
We had an AMAZING experience!”
Words cannot describe this special experience we had at this magical place. Every detail, from the unbeatable location, to the luxuary tents, the game drives, the excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner and above all the incredible staff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Bush at its best”
Gorah is one of the best bush lodge we have done in South Africa. Nested in a valley of Addo Elephant Park, you sleep in luxury tents and join the main building, a beautiful old farm restored for game drives and meal. We had lions at the waterholes during our stay. Spectacular. And elephants, rhinos. etc. Game drives were excellent with a super passionate guide. Food was perfect as well. A beautiful stay.
Perfect end to a fabulous South Africa vacation”
This was a wonderful experience. Every member of the staff was attentive and accessible. The food was fantastic and the experience of being right in the Addo Elephant National Park was unbelievable!
Excellent same as last time”
Perfect game experience, quite surrounding, nice staff, perfect location, good food, perfect views, good rangers
Great ambiance and game viewing”
The resort lives up to its expectations and beyond. Impeccable service and absolutely amazing game viewing. Up close and personal.
Colonial feel for a luxury stay!”
i book this at the last minute and we decide to go for addo elephant park mainly because of malaria free zone. we cannot do wrong with "relais et chateaux" chain. i'm very glad that we did and it worth all the penny spend. - price: zad per person sharing room (ouch!!!) - location: private reseve within addo elephant park - staff: super freindly and helpfull - room: luxurious tent without electric fence (so at night you need to be accompanied by the staff to get to your room) - food: excellent with exotic meat (ostich, eland, springbok...). the choices are differents each of our 3 nights/days. wine are not include. it is not expensive, but at the high price that we pay, i expect this should be included! - hotel features: swimming pool (too cold in spring to swim), wifi (only in lobby. this is too bad. they should put it in the main building so we can enjoy the scenery or not at all so we can to be completely isolated from our internet dependence disorder) - safari-guide: very relax and knowing well the animals, birds and the finbos... - animals: the big 4 only (plenty elephants, plenty buffalos, few black rhino, few lions). no panther. recommanded: yes tip: 1- arrive early around 11:30 am and leave late... 2- 2 nights are probably enough 3- best period late september, october and november as well as april and may for lower price (i prefer spring due to the "finbos flowers that can be seen in the park) 4- tips for staff and guide: 1000-1500 zad should be enough.
Alles was das Herz begehrt!”
Wir waren rundum zufrieden, fühlten uns sehr willkommen und genossen jeden Augenblick.
