Very good. They upgraded my daughter and I to a jr suite with a terrace, and that extra space was fantastic!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are also clean and comfortable and the artistic. It is also very near the Pantheon and multiple attractions are only around 20 minutes away on foot.

Very good”
The main advantage of the property is its location. The staff was helpful and responsive. The food is good. We requested a quiet room and we got one. We were on a holiday; we have mixed feelings about the tour operators and guides who took us around. Those were booked by the hotel. We did not plan much in advance and were dependent on the hotel's arrangements. There was an occasion when the guide simply did not show up at the time they were supposed to - we wasted half a day. To the hotel's credit, they did apologise profusely. If you are planning a holiday, recommend pre-plan your sightseeing trips and not depend on the hotel for this too much.

Great location, bad experience ”
Location is A-grade (next to Pantheon) however our experience was soured when after having made a reservation 2-months in advance we were horrified at having been given room 629 right next to the restaurant/bar. Loud talking, laughing, cleaning occurred until 2am and followed by setting up breakfast at 5:30am. No sleep. After complaining at 6am that we couldn't get any sleep we were allocated a room on 2nd floor. Why we didn't get that initially, who knows?? Wouldn't stay there again.

Perfect location for weekend break in Rome”
This hotel is practically next to the Pantheon and walking distance to all the must sees in Rome from the Vatican to the Trevi Fountain to the Colosseum etc. Lots of great places to eat nearby tucked away, but try to avoid eating on the main squares as food will be better and cheaper. Hotel has all mod cons of its star rating. Get an internal facing room or road noise may be a problem. Small gym but has everything you need and equipment decent quality. Rooms are a good size. It has the character of an older building but has been modernised. Airport is c. 45 mins away depending on time of day and traffic.

Great location, excellent hospitality, small room.”
The title says it all. It was in a wonderful location and we were able to walk everywhere. The hospitality was excellent, both in the hotel and the restaurant. The room was a bit small and cramped, as well as the bathroom, but it was a minor inconvenience for all the pluses.

Great location and super clean hotel”
This was our 2nd trip to the Grand Hotel De La Minerve. We love this location right by the Pantheon and walkable to great restaurants and sites. Super friendly staff, easy to catch taxi from front door and extremely friendly and helpful bellman. Thank you to every hotel staff that assisted us. We will look forward to a return trip soon! Mille grazie and Arrivederci!

What I'd expect in Europe”
We have stayed in many dozens of hotels across Europe, and have come to expect that not everything will be top notch all the time, especially in older hotels. First, our room was upgraded without asking, to very spacious accommodations. The location is why we chose this hotel, with Vatican City a twenty minute hoof one way, and Coliseum just ten minutes the other. I suspect the AC had been switched off to heat for the winter season, so unseasonable high temps made the room uncomfortably warm without means of relief. Staff were VERY helpful, assisting with coordinating a private tour guide and purchasing tickets to main attractions. There were a few minor service glitches (e.g., being charged for previous guest's minibar consumption, housekeeping forgetting to leave towels, no turndown on last night) but we've come to accept that as what happens in Europe and just roll with it. Would stay here again.

Had multiple issues with the room, some staff members were very reluctant to help, seemed impatient. Had to spend several hours on the day we got there waiting for maintenance to check the wifi, fix the hot water, etc.

Below Average hotel- must have been fabulous 20 years ago”
Maybe our standards were high because we had just stayed at a fabulous hotel in Rome earlier in the week. Rooms are small for all hotels in Rome- but this hotel is very dated and overpriced. The location is amazing, the staff was helpful when asked but it was at times hard to communicate some times. Their rooftop was very pretty but was closed to hotel guests for one of the two nights we were there. Also it is insanely expensive three times the cost of even the most touristy restaurants. I will not be back.

Overnight stay in Rome”
Stopover after a Mediterranean cruise. Lovely hotel, classy while being relaxed with friendly attentive staff. Fantastic location, beautiful views over the rooftops, bell towers and domes of the city from the roof garden (but you pay for those views in the cost of food and drink). Would stay here again and consider booking again via Agoda.

Lovely service, great location ”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. We received an upgrade because our room wasn't ready. On the last evening of our stay, I happened to leave my iPhone in a taxi. I contacted the hotel to see if they could help. To my delight, they phoned the taxi firm for me and managed to retrieve it. Thank you so much!!!

Really disappointing & filthy”
We came to Italy for our honeymoon and luckily stayed in other wonderful hotels in other cities. We chose this one because it looked luxurious at a reasonable price (we paid almost $400 for our room). Here are examples of why this hotel was an absolute disappointment: - Front Desk- when we arrived the front desk agent was unfriendly, tired, and could barely smile to welcome us. - Lobby- looks luxurious, but if you look at the carpets, they are filthy.... really needs to be replaced or throughly cleaned. Nothing worse than attempting to be luxurious and being old, tired, and dirty - Hallways- filthy, depressing, dinly lit and poorly decorated. Looks like an old Holiday Inn. - Room- small and looks decent, but the AC vents are full of dust. The towels in the bathroom were sloppily folded (almost as of they had just been used), the sink was undrained, the robe was rough like sandpaper, the AC wasn't working. The room features tacky laminated advertisements for brunch and blatant displays of how to use remote for a TV that didn't even work for period of time. Bathroom- when we arrived there was a piece of feces on the bidet. Filthy... Wifi- they claim to provide free wifi but the wifi didnt even work in our room... Not at all. We had to go to the rooftop to get on the internet. Elevators- they have 2 elevators but you have to push a button respective to each one since one button doesnt suffice for both. Extremely inefficient and slow. Roof top: catered to Americans on music and snacks; very cheesy; but staff was very friendly and helpful Porters were great and very friedly and helpful.
