Our 6-day, 5-night stay at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba”

We stayed at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba for 6 days and 5 nights. The hotel is conveniently located right outside Daiba station which was really great for us as we used the trains a lot during our stay there. Also, the sights around Odaiba were in itself a must-see attraction if you're a tourist. The hotel was really grand as its name suggests. Our room was spacious, the bed was quite comfy and the bathroom was well-stocked. You have several options for breakfast as well if you want to have the buffet with Western entrées, or you can also go to the Japanese restaurant or the solely sushi restaurant. I took one star off for the value for money and the facilities since you have to pay to be able to use the fitness center and the pool (unless you're a member). You would think for the price we paid, these should already be complementary for any guests staying at the hotel.

Exceptional hotel, staff, quality and service ”

While a little out of the way by main ward standards (reached by monorail), the Grand Nikko Daiba is without a doubt THE BEST hotel I have stayed in, in Japan. This trip we stayed from Hiroshima to Osaka to Kyoto to Sapporo to Niseko and back to Tokyo. I needed an extra couple of nights after a disgusted stay at Park Hotel Shiodome, and chose the Grand Nikko Daiba, and SO glad I did. Staff are/were impeccable, go out of their way to assist. Room size is fantastic by Japanese standards, as good as the Western standards of Marriott, Westin, Hilton I am used to. Quality fittings & fixtures. Beds = large and comfortable. Superb location. 60 seconds walk (into it) from Daiba station. Minutes from Aqua City and Diver City and the entertainment district with several quality and many budget style restaurants and bars to chose from. I was even surprised how decent the selection and price of goods from the Quality Store outside the hotel was. Exceptional stay. I will only be back here.

Great location and easy access in Odaiba area.”

Connects to monorail station, shopping centers and nice large rooms.

We stayed at the Grand Pacific Odaiba after few days in Tokyo ( Shinjuku ), a Hokkaido trip and Disney Sea, to get away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo before leaving Japan. This hotel has straight walkway access to the Yurikamome monorail Daiba station which runs 3 stops to Shimbashi station that you can connect to the JR railways and others lines and a few minutes walk to Ginza and Tsukiji area. To travel to Asakusa Temple, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akihabara just use the JR Yamanote line located at the Shimbashi station. If you want to head to Disneyland from the hotel, the Yurikamome can also be used to connect to the Rinkai line at Tokyo Teleport station and from there you can connect to Maihama station at Shin-kiba station via the Keiyo line. The hotel also has a connecting walkway to Aqua City where there are plenty of restaurants and shops and also the Decks mall which houses the Sega Joypolis. The hotel also has another walkway that leads to the Diver City that has the Gundam museum and plenty of shops and restaurants. There is a free shuttle that goes around Odaiba which you can take to the Palette Town mall and the big ferris wheel. Surrounding the hotel are a few nice parks and very clean and quiet. If you want to get away from the Tokyo crowd but still enjoy walking around, shopping and eating, this is the hotel for you and your family. Checking in and out was very fast and the hotel staff were very friendly and spoke good English. They also have a foreign English speaking staff at the concierce desk that was very helpful to direct us to Kamakura for a day trip. We didn't get a chance to dine at the many hotel restaurants as there were so many nice restaurants at the Aqua city. Be sure you don't miss the sushi restaurant on the 1st floor of Aqua city and the Yakiniku restaurant right across it. It serves one of the best sushi and yakiniku we had on this trip. Both restaurants are near the entrance of Toys R' Us on the 1st floor of Aqua city.

Love this hotel, Daiba area is nice”

Daiba is a very nice area, Daiba Station connecting Grand Nikko Hotel in one side, and Hilton hotel on the other side, the pedestrian level around the area make us very convenient to go around some malls like Aquacity and Diver City without worrying the cars.... a great place to view tokyo bay and rainbow bridge . In Grand Nikko hotel we can choose 3 restaurant to have breakfast, one is international breakfast, the other two are Japanese style breakfast. We stay here 5 nights, so we can try all... all is very nice. But if you come with children, still better to have the international breakfast, cause kids maybe can not eat raw food . Room is spacious and clean, nice staffs. There are also shuttle bus to Disneyland and other area. Some is free, some not. Limousine bus to Haneda and Narita airport also reach this hotel.

Excellent Stay at Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba”

Grand Nikko wasn't really my first choice since it is in Odaiba, a good 30-40 mins train train from the center of Tokyo. I could have saved a lot of time by staying somewhere centrally located, however, Tokyo has a very efficient public transport system, that this becomes almost a non-issue. there is a strain station directly infront of the hotel, and a walkway that is connected to 4 malls in the area. Plus, Tokyo bay is a little more relaxed than staying in the center. The hotel is very modern with excellent staff and facilities. I don't have any complaints about my stay at all. The room was very big and was always cleaned by housekeeping, and the views from my room was just the best! It was a relaxing 9 days at Grand Nikko. The breakfast was also superb, and there's also a free shuttle (good neighbor hotel) to the Disney Resorts and a 24-hr convenience store right down stairs. i love this hotel, i will stay here again.

“Awesome Time @ Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba"”

The 9-night stay was our first @ Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba and certainly won't be the last. Our room is is large and cosy with breathless harbour views. The hotel is conveniently connected to the train station and accessible to multiple malls ( Aqua City, Diver City, Venus Fort ) via short walk or free shuttle bus plying the Daiba area. Souvenir & convenient stores below the hotel as well as complimentary bus to / fro Disney Resorts are pluses!

My best hotel experience in Japan!”

Huge rooms and wonderful staff

we stayed for 4 nights at the grand pacific le daiba and had an absolutely wonderful hotel experience. being the hotel's off-season, we managed to catch it on a 60% off deal - we never would have been able to afford it otherwise! - but we were so glad we did. our room was enormous (comparative to most japanese hotel rooms), with an equally impressive/roomy bathroom. although we booked a smoking floor - it appeared to be the only option left on agoda - we requested, as a side note, non smoking and a room on a higher floor, but didn't seriously expect to get either request granted as we only booked 1 day in advance. as it turns out, they gave us their highest floor and non-smoking! our view of the city and rainbow bridge was phenomenal. the entire hotel oozes old-style grandeur and luxury, with several high class restaurants and bars. the staff service was impeccable - they were incredibly respectful and happy to attend to our every need. the hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to disneyland/disney sea, which was very handy to us - although even in off season, it's wise to book a day in advance. oh, and the hotel has it's own convenience store located on the lobby floor - so convenient if you're after a cheap late night snack or need breakfast on the go before catching an early train! while the hotel isn't located in central tokyo, it's only a short train ride (15-20 minutes) from tokyo teleport station into the heart of the city. but if that's not your cup of tea, there are at least half a dozen malls and shopping/entertainment/restaurant areas within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. overall, we had an incredible time at the grand pacific, and would heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, high-class hotel experience.

Right in front of train station, good access to Disneyland and Tokyo City”

The superior twin non-smoking room is considered a decent size compared to most smaller rooms in Tokyo hotels. The Daiba train station is right in front of the door step of the hotel. Getting in to Tokyo city merely take about 15 minutes, ie from Daiba station to Simbashi sation, Simbashi is a major connection to other lines of the subway system in Tokyo city so it's fairly convenient. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom comes with a full size tub which is rare in Tokyo hotels. The room is newly renovated, with a nice partial view of the Rainbow bridge. The hotel lobby is grand. There is a convenient stall in the hotel (operates 24 hours). The hotel provides free shutter bus to and flow Disneyland and Disneysea (half an hour bus ride, got to book online in advance). I would definitely return to this hotel for my next Tokyo trip and recommend this hotel to friends.

Excellent staff, Comfortable accommodation, Ideal location

That this is my repeat visit to Grand Pacific Le Daiba, my preferred choice of stay in Odaiba, speaks volumes about the hotel. The excellent staff service really impresses. Upon check-in, I was given a room with a beautiful view. I would especially like to convey my deep appreciation to who helped me with my luggage and in my request for information. He was most friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to ensure that I would have a comfortable stay. It's outstanding service like his that keeps drawing guests back to the hotel. During my short stay (9th- 10th April), the impression I had was that all the hotel staff stood ready to help their guests. Congratulations to the hotel management for having such fine staff! My sincere thanks to all the staff for your excellent service and in ensuring that I had a most pleasant stay.

Solid international hotel”

Being located on Odaiba, the Grand Nikko is a bit distant from most of Tokyo. But it's right next to a convenient light rail station, as well as several museums and three huge shopping malls with lots of restaurants. (The restaurants in the hotel are quite good, but a bit pricey.) The service, facilities, and amenities were everything I expect in an international hotel. The hotel is also well built; we were there for Typhoon Faxai (for which many people in the area had to be evacuated) and the building simply creaked a little even on the upper floors.

Comfy hotel with large room and great view”

Facilities, staff and location

My family and I really enjoy our stay at Grand Pacific le Daiba. We came from Narita to the hotel via N'Ex plus local train and found it should have been more comfortable if we had chosen the airport bus. Nevertheless, it was a worthwhile when we found our room with such a breathtaking view. The room is large relative to other hotels in Japan. The hotel facilities and the staff are great too. Access to nearby shopping malls like Aqua City is convenient with just a few steps away from the hotel. The hotel also provides scheduled shuttle bus to guests visiting Tokyo Disneyland with advance booking required. Overall, this hotel is really value. We would definite to be back there again in our next visit to Tokyo.

All the staff were warm and welcoming, plus there was no problem with the English language. The room was outdated but big and comfortable for our family of 5. With all 3 big luggages open, the kids still had ample room to move around. The bathroom was a good size too. The view from the room was excellent, we can see the skyline of Tokyo city, a couple of Odaiba malls, the museum. The malls are close by and connect to the mall, so does the train station. It’s very easy to go to the city. There’s a free bus to go around Odaiba and to Disneyland. There’s more than 2 different restos for the free breakfast which is great if you’re staying for more than a week like my family did. Staying in Nikko was a great experience.

We also loved the no cleaning days and rewarded with the 1000 yen coupon which can be used at their restaurants and souvenir shops.

Wonderful hotel”

The best about the hotel: Location, Easy Access, High standard

I travelled with my 13 year old daugther on vacation purpose. We took the train from Shimbashi to Daiba. It train ride was wonderful with a lovely view over the modern/high tech Tokyo. We recommend others to take the train ride in stead of taxi to the hotel. The hotel is a few step from Daiba station and liked the hotel the first moment we saw it. There are four malls in walking distance from the hotel for shopping (Forever 21, Zara, Burberry, Armani etc.), dinning and entertainment. We enjoyed our stay at Le Daiba and would suddenly come back. Breakfast at toproof floor (30F)restaurant had an amazing view over the modern city, however expensive (extra charge). We also enjoyed the outside pool, which is lovely, however also expensive (extra charge).

Suited our need to get to DisneySea”

The 3 best things about this hotel was the Good Neighbor complimentary shuttle service to DisneySea, large room size, and view of surrounding area.

I stayed at this hotel with my 14 year old son so we could visit DisneySea the next morning. I had booked a superior twin non-smoking room for AUD$137 (US$107) and received an upgrade to a deluxe room on the 25th floor. I had emailed the hotel directly to reserve the free shuttle to DisneySea a month and a half before we arrived. Unfortunately they weren't able to reserve a return shuttle back "as reservation priority should be given to arrival guests, we may not offer you bus booking at this moment. Kindly ask for last-minutes availabilities at our Bell Captain Desk upon check-in." On arrival to the hotel in the late evening I confirmed our reservation to DisneySea the next morning and also requested a return shuttle back to the hotel in the evening. Unfortunately the Bell Captain I spoke to was a stickler to a rule that "you have no right" to reserve a return shuttle as we would be checking out in the morning. In the morning I asked again about the return shuttle. The same bell captain refused my request and gave me instructions on how to return to the hotel from DisneySea using the JR Keiyo line & Rinkai line until I insisted. After showing my email to other staff he finally booked us on the last return shuttle bus back to the hotel as requested. The shuttle does not pick up customers from other hotels and goes directly to Disneyland and DisneySea but the drive still takes about 30 minutes. This hotel was the highest star hotel with the largest room I stayed at during my stay in Tokyo so if you can book early and get a cheap rate I would recommend it. Unfortunately to get to the hotel the closest station (Daiba) is not covered by the JR pass or Tokyo Subway Day tickets so you will need to purchase tickets before getting on the Yurikamome line. Also the last airport limousine bus that goes directly to the hotel from Narita airport leaves at 6.45pm so if you are arriving after that time you will have to go by train which means changing stations once or twice.
