Weekend Getaway!”
Hemingway's Hotel was certainly the perfect hotel for my weekend getaway at Phuket. Located just a stone throw away from the famous Jungceylon Mall, and approximately 10 mins walk to Patong Beach. Hardly notice the distance as one will be strolling along pubs, discos and soveiner stalls. Nice cosy hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Given a chance make sure you try out their 'pad-thai' & 'tom-yam kung'. In short, this hotel certainly meets all my requirement checklist. I'll definately come back to this hotel and recommend my friends and relatives.

Standard accommodation near to the city”
Three blocks from Patong Beach, Hemingway's is situated on a quiet street shared with a few other hotels, a moped hire and excursion retailer, and a salon/wedding studio, with a small convenience store just around the corner. It is a short walk to the beach and Patong's buzzing nightlife though still relatively obscure in many taxi driver's geographic knowledge. You may well need to show taxi drivers the address of the hotel, which is printed on the room keys. We arrived around midnight and checked in with a rather dozy receptionist working the night shift. We had to wake him up, and after receiving a room key, I was shocked to open the door to a dishevelled bed and another hotel guest sleeping in it, who I awoke by opening the door. The receptionist working through the day was much more competent. Overall, the staff were very warm and friendly, and the restaurant served up tasty, reasonably-priced dishes. The wide-angle images advertising the rooms give the illusion of spaces larger than they really are; and, as the bathroom windows are covered only by a screen, the bathroom door must be kept shut to keep the room cool with the air conditioner. Given the 'open air' nature of the bathrooms, I would recommend bringing mosquito repellant. A bit rough around the edges but definitely good value for the price.

Small Hotel with Great Mind Service”
It was such a great night staying there in Phuket. Hemingway was the way beyond my expectations that the room was so clean and large. The bed is quite big and the toilet is very clean and large. I would really have to say that this hotel has trained the receptionists so well that I was so impressed with their friendly service. There was a problem with the air conditioner in my room, the next day they immediately take care of my concern changing the room for me within an hour. Additionally, the rate for this such amazing and wonderful room is really reasonable. You just take a ten minute walk to the beach and five minute walk to the shopping center. All in all, I would recommend anyone who's gonna visit Phuket at Patong, you should get a chance to stay in this friendly and wonderful hotel i could say.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hemingway's Hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive and the room was immaculate. The massive shower head and unlimited hot water was an indulgent luxury (although the bathroom turns into a bit of a lake... it's worth it). It's a 5 minute walk to Bangla Road and the Mall. You might opt for a tuk tuk to the beach on a hot day. There was construction going on next door all day, every day, but unless you're looking to sleep away your days, the disruption is minimal. I'd definitely stay here again!

A new standard of quality and amenities for this p”
This place was a real find. Compared to other guest houses/hotels at the same price and even higher, there is NO comparison. Victor the General Manager on-site is a brilliant host as are the rest of his staff. The rooms are really well done, beds with duvet are really comfortable as is the amazing shower. This place is 5 stories with a lift which is nice. The food in the restaurant is really nice, both western and thai food is very well done. We ended up staying 3 more nights (6 total) and found ourselves eating at the restaurant a lot and worked our way around the menu. There is a bit of construction noise around the area, but this is true in all of Patong/Phuket, the whole island is being upgraded, expanded and the like...all for the better.

Hemingway's Hotel, Phuket Review”
The hotel is really worth the price. Although it is not so spacious, the room is clean and neat, also the bathroom. The location is quite far from the airport (around 1 hour) but adjacent to the sightseeing attraction. It's only 5 minutes walk to Jungceylon shopping mall, 10 minutes walk to the Patong beach and around 20 minutes by car to Phuket town. One major weakness is about the breakfast. It took like more than 25 minutes to get our hot breakfast. It is quite annoying because we had to go for a tour early in the morning.

Nice hotel,great location, fantastic food!”
this hotel is small and very modern. only three weeks old the western owners have really made sure that this hotel is at western standards. the location was walking distance to main centre of patong, shopping centres and the beach. although located in the hub of this area, you would know you were so close to the night life as it was very quiet. the rooftop pool and bar area, offers a fantastic view of patong and mountains surounding the hotel. we enjoyed having a drink with a lovely breeze and a friendly chat with staff! the only advise i would offer, is not to have your laundry done by the hotel. we were not offered a price list and for only few items we were charged excessively. around the corner you can have your laundry done for 50 bht per kilo, we were charged around 900 bht for not even a kilo. overall, i will recommend this hotel and i would stay here again!

Nice hotel in a great location”
located a few minutes’ walk from the centre of patong, the hemingway's hotel was lovely. the room was very large and beautiful. i ate at the restaurant a few times and the thai food was delicious and very authentic. breakfast was also nice (cooked to order rather than buffet). there is a lot of construction happening during the day in this area, which is quite noisy, so if you are looking at a hotel to relax in during the day, this may not be for you. as i was spending my days out and about, it didn't bother me at all.

Hemingway's Hotel was in a great location for us. It is tucked away on a side street, away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket. It is just 10-15 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to the Jungceylong Shopping Centre. Food at the hotel restaurant was great and for a good price. We had all our meals there for the duration of our stay. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Nice little Hotel”
stayed here for the first 10 nights during a 25 night holiday in thailand. it was by far the best value for money hotel i stayed in. very clean & comfortable room with a very refreshing shower. very friendly & accommodating staff from the front desk to the housekeepers to the waiters & waitresses. couldn't have asked for more. the restaurant has a large variety of great food at extremely affordable prices with no surcharge for room service. the hotel was in an ideal location for shopping & nightlife as it is within easy walking distance to juncelong shopping mall & bangla road. i highly recommend this hotel for single travelers, friends traveling together or couples. i will definitely stay here again. enjoy your stay in patong!

This was our 2nd stay at The Hemingway's Hotel and we had a good stay there once more. The rooms are spotless and the bed is good. The bathroom has an excellent shower and there is always plenty of hot water. The hotel restaurant serves a good array of Thai and European dishes at fair prices - all in all a very good hotel for the money!!

Good value for money”
Hemingway's is good value. The rooms are not big but have everything I needed. Cable tv, A/C, Wi-Fi, safety deposit box. There is no joiners fee. The lady just has to leave her ID at front desk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is only 5 mins walk from Jung ceylon 10 mins walk from Bangla, and 15 mins from beach.

No Pool, But Spotless Quality Rooms”
I always go for a hotel with a pool as it seems mad not to in somewhere like Phuket. However Hemmingways told me that they were building another hotel with a pool which is almost finished. I assume both hotels will be able to use that pool. Either way, the rooms were spacious, high quality (what I'd expect in a 4 star) and the bathroom (wet room) was spacious and high pressure shower. The mini bar rated were fair and the food which I always ordered to my room was both tasty and well presented. I am intending to revisit Thailand in September and Hemmingways will be my choice for sure. Location is within walking distance of the noise of Bangla Road (Crazy place) but if you want the beach, it is probably 30 minutes walk. The big shopping mall, market and nice restaurants are less than 5 mins walk up the same road. Also the rooms have free wifi, routers on every floor! So as soon as you walk into the place you're in signal. Obviously you need to accept the routers from reception and the floor you're on, in order to have active signal at all times.

Not the hotel we expected”
We were transferred from the hotel we booked to it's sister hotel, Hemingway's Silk couple of blocks away. We stayed there throughout out vacation. It should be stated clearly about the exact hotel. The type of room also very misleading which says inclusive of breakfast. No breakfast for our room was told when we check in. Another type of exactly same room without breakfast was much cheaper. Should have book that if we knew. bed is so hard. No balcony. Plus side is it has swimming pool. Overall stay was good.

Good, quiet location for Patong”
Thankfully, they were able to figure things out in the end and get us to our room. We were only in town on a layover from Phuket to Ko Phi Phi, so we didn't need much out of a hotel, so Hemingway's was perfect for us. The room was comfortable and quiet, the shower was clean and new-ish (and the shower pressure was amazing), the breakfast was tasty. What more can you ask for?

the hotel was very nice and cozy. it was in a great location. Walking distance to main Bangla Rd, but tucked away on a side street away from the bars, people, and noise. good place for couples or solo. also walking distance to Jungceylon mall and muay thai boxing stadium. there is a very good travel agency just steps away, which gave the best prices. when compared to other travelers on the same island hopping tour, i paid at less than half the list price of the brochures and after talking to some other people on the same tour, they paid over 500THB more! I got the room with included breakfast. However, the breakfast selection was very poor and it actually would have been cheaper to order the breakfast separately than to pay the extra price for included breakfast. Internet was on/off, mostly off. I need reliable internet during my travels so i eventually changed hotels. however, i wasn't able to find a comparable hotel that was as comfortable and cozy.

Staff is not really capable to handle customer”
The room was good, air conditiner worked well, good location. But the story about the handling staff is just lack of performance. The story began when i booked at 4 nights at Hemingway's hotel.. Once arrived at night, the staff said that the room was full booked and should transferred to Silk hotel (one group as Hemingway hotel) and stay there at Silk hotel until my last date of checkout date. Then, i should walk to silk hotel with my luggage and no provided any shuttle car to the Silk hotel. Cleared to check in at Silk hotel for the first night. The 2nd day, informed by Silk hotel staff that i must back again to Hemingway hotel because of my booking was at Hemingway. This is just different story that the Hemingway's staff informed me yesterday. Again, there's no shuttle bus arrangment to Hemingway hotel and i should walk around 500m-700m with my luggage and checked in Hemingway hotel until the end of my stay.
