Great location, spacious rooms... But no free wifi”
the hotel staff was friendly & helpful. the minute the hotel reception retrieved my booking, she knew that i am a hilton member & immediately upgraded our room to a suite! it was a wonderful surprise! the room was spacious & the beds were really comfortable. we also liked the crabtree & evelyn toiletries provided. as the hotel was just a few mins walk from the metro, it was very convenient getting around. oxford street & hyde park are about 20mins walk from the hotel. there were also supermarkets within walking distance. what was also convenient was that there is a shuttle bus that the concierge can arrange for you to go from hotel to bicester village!! we paid 23pounds per person for that. well worth the convenience! my parents & i enjoyed our stay at hilton!
A Very Pleasant Stay”
This was my first visit to The London Metropole Hilton, and I was not disappointed , a free upgrade to the top floor helped of course , and great view too !, wonderful cosy bed also.. I arrived very early (9am) but this was not a problem , and the helpful lady in reception , took care of everything with a minimum of fuss. Like the Edgware Rd location , barely a minute walk across the road to the Tube. Liked the feel of the Hotel , that exciting buzz , of staying somewhere , thats not your average hotel. The Sports Bar was great for watching the Saturday lunchtime Football in style too !! I will return
Great choice in London!”
I often stay at the Metropole while I'm in London and it has a great deal quality/price compared to the other London hotels. Staff Is very nice and the hotel is very clean and new. It is very close to Oxford street and Hyde park! I definitely recommend it!
Early check in ”
Stayed at Hilton London Metropole. The Hotel is clean and good location. Halal restaurants and cafes nearby. Closer to Paddington station and Heathrow Express. Our flight was early and we are able to check in to our rooms straightaway without extra charges.
Luxury International Hotel with spacious room”
Great 3 night stay with Hilton London Metropole Hotel, It's my second time staying in this hotel, just a short walk you can reach Edgware Metro Station, and it's only 10mins walk to Paddington Station. If you're familiar with london, this is a great hotel for you to stay.
Great location and comfortable room”
I stayed at Hilton London Metropole Hotel in January/2013 for 2 nights during a business trip and had no problems at all during my stay. The check-in was very quick, the room is standard size and got everything I needed, and the check-out is very simple too, just need to drop the card in a box if you have pre-paid your stay. Location is also great, 2 min walk from Edgware Road tube and there are lots of shops and restaurants around. Definitely recommend.
Nice hotel and service with a smile”
hotel is a short walk from paddington station, so we saved on taxi fare and walked to the hotel. taxi fare is pretty costly in london. the hotel location is great as there are two train stations along edgeware road. the staff are very friendly. the rooms are big and the beds are comfortable, the sheets are clean and on the whole we are pleased that we chose to stay at hilton metropole as it is also not too far to travel to oxford street.
Great location. nice hotel”
very convenient hotel to stay.close to shops, public transportation and atm machine and many restaurants. staff are friendly and helful. nice cozy and clean room, has coffee maker in room. concierge very cordial and helpful with info re: wgich train or is preferable to theatres, and other touristy places. convininet restaurants in the hotel, although i have not tried it, i know it's there if i don't fee like dining out. i have stayed in this hotel numerous occasions and i have yet to be dissapointed. i'd recommend this to anyone who is in london for a brief time because it does not take up time to get around from here to the highlights in london. i also love the cafe by the lobby for a quick latte & croissant. pleasant hotel to stay.
Great location, beautiful room and awesome service”
spent a week at the hilton and loved it. the hotel is on edgware road, only a few steps away from the tube station. location is perfect. staff is very friendly and helpful. the hotel features a fitness club that includes gym, sauna / steam room and swimming pool, which is great after walking all day around london. had a lovely time there.
Great location”
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It's located very close to Edgware Underground Station. The hotel was very quiet and I slept like a rock. The hotel is within walking distance from Regent's and Hyde Park. I guess this is my new favourite London hotel.
Ideal Location and Quality hotel”
the hotel is located at a perfect location and the rooms are clean and comfortable. it was stuffed with extras like a teapot, teas, cookies, plenty of towels, hair dryer, iron, safe, honor bar, etc. breakfast was included each morning, and we were surprised to find an omelet station. what makes the hotel is the quality of the staff that work there. the staff at the hilton metropole are quite simply outstanding. no matter how busy they are unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful. the rooms are good, clean, well equipped and fairly spacious. it's not a cheap hotel but it is increasingly the first place we look for accommodation in london.
Best food chain area and transport”
It was just average for the overall service of the hotel. Partly disappointed with the service the hotel provided. We arrived at 7am london time and the receptionist told us there was no room available for us until the next guest checkout at 12-3pm. Making a guest wait? Why hilton is not flexible enough for a better option to customer?. Second thing, she upselled us to an executive room at just for the first night stay on temporary before we moved to the room that we booked. To our second disappointment the room doesnt look like an executive, the room smelled of someone who just smoked in the room(where it's a non-smoking room), and the air con heater wasn't functioning properly. My husband and myself moved back to our deluxe room on the second night and it was much much more better and we were happy and satisfied throughout our stay in the guestroom. The view was also perfect and the hotel area was what satisfied us. It is nearby everywhere we're going. Nearby long stretch of cheap delicious halal foods, nearby underground(trains), and buses, marks & spencer supermart is just a door away from the hotel.
Location that Matters”
The location of Hilton Metropole is unbeatable. It is a mere 10 minutes walk from the Paddington Station where you can reach from London Heathrow Express in 15 minutes. Then various kinds of restaurants, specially middle eastern, are located right next to the hotel. There is a Marks and Spenser store right opposite. The connection to the underground by the Edgware Road Underground Station is extremely convenient that takes you to Oxford Circus, Piccadilly in a few minutes.
Very Professional”
made to feel welcome upon arrival. we had a couple of check-in issues but these were quickly resolved by the receptionist and manager to our complete satisfaction. the hotel itself is very modern and has a fair bit of splendor attached to it. the decor throughout the hotel, including the room, was excellent and to a high standard. location wise, the hotel is well situated and (assuming the weather is ok) allows you to walk to hyde park and oxford street.
Perfect location for everywhere”
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your hotel last weekend. we had a wedding in russell sq which was a direct taxi journey away.. the tube station is opposite the front door and hyde park and oxford street are walking distance away. marks and spencers is on opposite side of street which was great for snacks! we would stay here again as can't beat location.
The hotel does not fit to be a Hilton”
I have been a loyal Hilton Honors member for over 10 years and I've been staying in Hilton London Metropole without fail every time I go to London on holiday. I've been staying in the Metropole since 2015 and every stay we were given the tower wings which the rooms are dilapidated. It depends on your luck where some time you get a decent room and sometimes you get a dilapidated room. The room we stayed Room 1014 was horrible where the smell of cigarettes lingered around during our stay. The side lamp did not work and the heating as well did not work. The mattress definitely need a change as well as the flat pillow. Most Hilton hotel chains have fluffy pillows. The Metropole has a good central location which why we chose to stay there every time. In the past, they had newspapers distributed free, this year none to be sighted. We paid almost GBP 250 a night for that crappy room.
Good location, room and service was satisfactory. ”
Our room was exactly what we had wanted when we placed the booking via Agoda. Tea and coffee making facilities was good as there was plenty of tea and coffee satchets for us to enjoy in the evening. We would recommend to our friends to stay at Hilton Metropole London.
Wonderful hotel with outstanding customer service”
This hotel is great value for money. Located only a few steps away from Edgware Road tube station, this hotel is near all London hotspots. All staff is extremelly friendly and helpful, specially the ones working at the breakfast restaurant. They're simply great. Swimming pool and sauna provided me with good moments of relaxation after long hours out.
Good hotel, but with irritating details”
this is probably one review which will be rather contradicting to itself. during my stay there, there was at least 3 separate incidents from the time of my arrival. but then again these incidents could be isolated hence the summary of this review should be noted at the end. 1. there was a fire drill, i believe on the 3 day of my stay, and after the drill i was greeted by non functioning lifts and a very jumpy hotel manager, who was partially pissing off every customer who were trying to get back into their warm rooms after coming in from the frosty weather outside. 2. someone tried to enter my room, whilst it was occupied. wow. after my rather volcanic blowing off, i was very quickly given an explanation that it could be the someone trying to refill the bar by the guest relations manager. i wasn't going to buy that. next someone comes up to my room to admit his intrusion saying it was because he wanted to check if my room was properly cleaned. then i have the guest relation officer offering to see how we can resolve this, and she wasn't even aware at that time until i told here someone came up to apologise on the matter. to be honest i was going to make this a very big issue, having come from managing hotels and resorts in the past and i knew the sops and they don't defer much. worse case scenario i could have made into an attempted break-in. well the genuine gesture from the guest relation person persuaded me to calm down. good job, haadas. 3. after a very frosty morning outside, my family and i were trapped in the revolving doors. after we got out, i was absolutely astonished by the security that let us out. he said you need to let the doors revolve twice before getting in. huh!!! anyhow the summary, it is a great hotel by and large, but the quirky and irritating (even if they were isolated) made this particular stay far from something i would expect from a hilton.
Great staff & service.”
we thank agoda in giving us the opportunity on staying in this great hotel! the staff were all friendly & very accommodating in all of our queries ( giving us directions on how to reach a particular place, best mode of transportation & its connections, etc. ) it really made our stay in london very memorable! this is really a great hotel!!!
