Hotel Arosa is a wonderful location and centrally located to the sights of Madrid. I highly recommend staying here, especially for a romantic getaway, as I have! Request for the balcony room, and have your breakfast included in your package and you'll have a wnderfully romantic time!
I am still scratching my head how this hotel got a four star rating. ”
The location is very good...about a 10-15 minute walk to the Prado and Royal Palace. But there are virtually no amenities and the facilities are in serious need of a facelift for a four star hotel. The buffet breakfast is average. Very disappointed.
Staff were friendly, great location, they have the world smallest lift. Not convenience but cute!

Best Western Arosa Hotel”
The location is perfect for shopping and nightlife right in the center of Madrid just off Gran Via. 2 minute walk to Del Sol and all the cafes and bars. Good value for money, the rooms are very small though. The gym isnt the best, the bike doesnt work and there is no treadmill, plenty of weights though. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful being my first time in Spain
When I booked the room, it looks nice on the website but when I arrived, the room I had wasn't as good as I expected but it's in the great location, very easy to get around.
Hotel Arosa , Madrid”
Despite hotel being very centrally located, its access to elevators is very bad. Overall hotel is neatly kept, staff is somewhat helpful and breakfast, although not great, was O.K. i wouldn't stay here again.
Best Western Arosa - may 2010”
Very good location. Friendly staff, especially the portiers. Clean and comfortable room although it was not very big. Our room was on floor 5, this floor is completely non-smoking. Wireless internet free of charge. Beautiful old-fashioned building. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. The two elevators are small. Sound insulation between rooms could be a little better (although we were not disturbed by our neighbours). There was some draught from the window.
I keep coming back to the Arosa, which is a strong recommendation.
Good location in Madrid”
The hotel was close to the metro station in Madrid, therefore it's east to find. The hotel is closed to shopping area and restaurants and some of museums. The room is very clean and comfortable except the bathroom is small for American Standard. Their breakfast was great. So many choises and even there were some Japanese style breakfast. However, they needed the printed confirmation and voucher. So that I needed to instruct the travel agency to forward these documents. This process was cumbersome. Otherwise, everything was great.
The hotel situate in the great location, center of Granvia rd. couple step to metro. Great for shopping trip. However, the tiniest elevator and the unpleasant welcoming lessen down the satisfaction. The doorman is very nice and helpful. The bedsheet should be change, it is very old and ripped. The hot water is unstable, very annoying.
Best Western Hotel Arosa Madrid”
This hotel was a excellent choice for us. We were suprised by the excellent position in a quiet street just off the Grand Via. The rooms were very clean & the decor was very nice. We asked for a room on the 7th floor as this is the only level with step out terraces, and the hotel was very accommodating with giving us a very nice room on that floor. The breakfast was ok & coffee is free during the day in the foyer. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
GW Hotel Arosa in Madrid”
Our initial reaction to the Arosa was disappointing. When we arrived at 5:30 p,m. last Monday, the woman at the reception desk appeared to be tired and impatient--reserved and not warm. After checking us in, almost as if it were a chore, she sent us up to our room on the 4th floor where we found construction in process and strong fumes from materials being used. Our room down the hall was small with two single beds--not the double/queen we had requested. The air in the room was stale and it was stuffy and scented with construction odors. We called the front desk and asked if there were other rooms available. The response was guarded but we were told to wait there. About 15 minutes later they sent a bellman up to show us two other available rooms on another floor. We were very appreciative of the choice, but curious as to why we even had been sent to the floor with construction going on in the first place. In the end we found our choice of room to be very satisfactory with a lovely big window (secured with a heavy glass door to drown out street noise) hovering high over a busy city street with a great view of downtown. Over the remainder of our two day stay we generally found other desk receptionists to be pleasant and helpful but our initial reaction upon our arrival had left us guarded. The bellmen were all excellent and most pleasant and actually were more pleasant and helpful than any of the people behind the reception desk!!! Over all a good hotel, but could be a lot better if they paid a little more attention to the QUALITY of breakfast beverages and breads, and staffed their reception desk with those who are more naturally warm and cordial. This hotel has a priceless recommendation by Karen Brown. I would say Best Western shouldn't take that for granted or underestimate the expectations of her readers.
On the Gran Via”
This hotel is in the heart of Madrid. A five star location!
Hotel liegt mitten im Zentrum von Madrid. Flanier- und Amüsiergegebenheiten sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Hotel ist sauber. Personal ist freundlich. Preis Leistung passt.
Schönes Plätzchen mitten in Madrid”
Geweldige lokatie. ”
Kamers netjes, goede bedden. Weinig kastruimte.
