    Dishonest Hotel, I Don't Recommend”

It is winter in South America. It was very cold, especially at night. I requested if I can borrow an electric kettle to make hot drinks at night. They don't allow. Then I requested for hot water. Been travelling to many places in this world. I was never charged for hot water. The hotel didn't inform me that I will be charged. They sent me a hot water with a Lipton tea bag (highlighted it's only Lipton 'cheap' tea). I thought, 'Wow, they are really nice'. I asked for hot water twice, they gave me same the thing. When I wanted to check out, they charged me 4000 pesos for my small cups of hot water. I was shocked. I objected. The owner started to make an excuse that I was the one who was misunderstanding. We argued. Finally he admitted that he cannot just give his guests hot water. Then nobody will buy tea from his menu. Dishonest. I will never stay here again.

    Ok”

It got off to a bad start as our pick up- which was confirmed in the morning, didn't show up at the airport so we had to walk to the hotel, luckily it's not far. When we got to the hotel we didn't get an apology at all. We didnt get any maps for the island, weren't given any advice on where to go, what to see, places to eat. Our room was lovely though. We managed to get the cottage on its own, so it was really peaceful. The cleaning staff did a great job of keeping the room looking great. Wifi isn't great but enough to get the odd email...but you are in paradise so you don't need it really. If you you are self-sufficient like us this hotel is perfect, I wouldn't rely on the staff too much. We did get a transfer to the airport the day we left so that's good.

Overpriced hotel, as is the whole island”

    Nothing really great

The hotel is overrated and overpriced. It fits in with the whole of Easter Island. We read the breakfast would be fantastic. It wasn't. 4 pieces of bread, some cheese and ham, half a banana and some fruit juice and tea that is it. The rooms are ok. The bathroom was smelly. The price is absurd for what you get. We even had to pay about 4 euros to get some hot water at night for our noodles! That's crazy!

Close to town but far from traffic”

Assistance with all tours and rentals. Private photo book with destinations to consider.

i stayed for a week on rapa nui. they met me at the airport and dropped me off - both free of charge. when i needed a rental car for a couple of my days on the island, the agency came by the hotel to get me and drove me to the rental agency to complete the paper work. i found that not being right in the center of all the activities was relaxing allowing me to read and spend my idle time. the breakfast that was included in the room rate was amazing. prices on the island are fairly high for everyone but that one meal would last me most of the day, and i only ate out at restaurants once a day. they staff was all family and made me feel a part of the family. any questions i had were answered - their english was much better than my spanish. i was really in search of a quiet time around the christmas holiday to relax and this location was perfect and the hotel was perfect for my needs.
