Worst hotel ”
We got skin problems. I never have seen any hotel dirtier than this hotel. Treble, treble
Great location, otherwise nothing special”
Hotel had great location, but be careful!! The staff tried to make us pay more money for our room than we had to. Just one guy talked english and he got really mad when we questioned them about this.
a budget hotel in place of dormitory space”
I revsited it a couple of It is an old one but a good budget hotel where you pay a little more ( with shared bathroom) for a room of your own by paying a little more. It is good for those who ask for privacy and security. The first vsit was not too good as they gave me the last room on the roof top. The room did not have good security because the window could not be closed. I needed to keep it closed by putting some sticks on the trac of the window silt. I lodged my complaint and the following day I got a better room. But the room did ot have a window even though it is right next to the reception. So i needed to open the door from time to time to let some fresh air come in. The second time I got a room with a shared bathroom. It was good except that there was no place to put your clothing. I needed to put a chair that was taken from my room. The third visit I did the same or else I could not put any clothing in the bathroom. The hotel has high security. Each time you need to press the bell or let the reception person know you are going out. The hotel was kind enough to let me depost my lugguage even when I was not going to check in again. This is a very good service as I do not need to carry too much lugguage before I leeave Buenos Aires. It is close to 9 Juio aveenue and Theatre Colon where you can enjoy yourself in concerts or plays. You may as well visit it to view the beautiful design inside. Fom the hotel you can walk to the harbour ( if you do not have too much lugguage) for destinations such as Uruguay. You could walk or take a bus to the bus terminal Retiro or train station. On the whole it was a good stay in this hotel. You pay a good price for a room of your ow instead of staying in a dorm that charges a comparative high rate for your dorm space.
Pya a bit more to have a room rather than dorm sp”
On the whle it was a good experience but if you opt for a sigle room with shared bathroom, then you find a litle inconvenient as there are no hanger, desk or anything there to put your clothes. I needed to take my hair in the room so I could place my clothes on it. It is a budget hotel and you pay a little more to have your own room. But mostof the facilities and linen uh as bed sheet, pillow ase etc) were worn out. If you do not care aboutit, it is OK.There were a few people who ould speak good English. But the advantage is that it is close to th pedesrain street (Lavalle Street) where you find a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants. There is one offering Chinese dishes on Esmerald streeet where you an have buffet at 90 peso or eat and pay according to how ,uch you take. Try to get a room with a window and one away from the main street.
Small but decent if you are given a good room”
The first night was not too good as I was given the last single room on the roof top; what worried me was the window could not be closed and someone could get in the room. I made a complaint and the following day I was offered a better room with a fan, a double bed and a single bed ( even though only I stayed in the room) I booked this hotel as a single room with hared bathroom is inexpensive. Now being given a single room with bath facilities meant paying more. It is still worth it but it was a little beyond my budget. I would recommend a double room for two persons with a bathroom or a single room with shared bathroom facilities for one person. One only pays a bit more for having a room, hut a small amount to be paid when compared with dorm space in Buenos Aires. I will come back with a single room with shared bathroom facilites: a good bargain not to be missed. It is a very old establishement. If your room is on a higher level, you need to carry your lugguage upstairs as there is no lift.
booked a day, stayed 2 weeks”
The hotel is a bit old, as are many of the buildings in Buenos Aires, but the staff does a great job at keeping things clean. It is in the heart of the city and located on a pedestrian-only street. There is a well equipped gym just a few doors down the street. Would definitely recommend this if you are on a budget but dont want to stay at a hostel.
Hotel is OK if looking for a cheap option. Central”
Hotel is OK, a bit like a prison inside, and bathrooms are a bit hit and miss. Central location makes the hotel worth staying in if you are on a budget.
location is everything”
I spent 4 days in this hostel, I have to say, the location is everything, you can walk to everywhere, because you're in the middle of the city, really convenient, but I have to point out that the room is very old and damp, and not every room has wifi, that's really annoying, and no quilt cover, fortunately the bathrooms are neat and tidy, so that's a plus.
Location location location!”
A very simple guesthouse in the heart of the center, smack down on a busy shoppingstreet. Rooms are decent, high celings, and good ventilation. The fan in my room was only running at a slow speed, but it was sufficient. There are bathrooms and showers everywhere, never had to wait for one! Another review said that there was a free waterdispenser, but not so... water is sold at reception by the bottle. The free WiFi is a bonus.
Una buena estadía en el corazón de la Bs. As.”
