Decent hotel with good staff”
We have stayed here at least 4 times. The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms are clean and spacious. All the staff are kind and helpful. The hotel is fully wheelchair accessible, but you need to bring your own bathchair for the shower, if needed. Breakfast has many choices. Location is not too far from the airport, but a bit far from downtown.
Near to airport, both local & Chinese restaurants, supermarkets, money changer are walking distant from hotel, away from downtown congested traffic jam. Easy online booking of grab taxi , arrival time less than 10 minute
My Regular Hotel in Yangon”
Good value for money.
Near to airport, close to major shopping places. Rooms are functional. Breakfast is good.
Good for business price a little high ”
Good the room was older style and the ac was a little loud but that didn't bother me at all. The room was clean and towels are nice that's important for me. The bed Sheets feel clean and blankets too had good sleep there. Breakfast just alright suit a 3 star hotel. Price a little to high would like to see around 70USD to be most fair. Location great at junction 8 mile
Old hotel but good location”
hotel locateed on junction opposite they have golden duck resturant where they have duck roast very tasty, but hot quite old and some staff not under stand how
My regular hotel in Yangon.
Staff/location are great; room is nice and clean but with limited electric outlets
Very Old ”
This Hotel is not up to todays standard , very old sea food resturant on roof top , the food is good but the smell is bad when entering the place . Breakfast variety is normal but taste is not so good .
I will stay again ”
At a very reasonable price, the Hotel provides good facilities, cleanliness and hospitality. Well-located. The staff members are helpful. The bathroom is clean. Complimentary breakfast provides a good selection of menu. If the hotel wants to improve, my suggestion is to give a better ambience and cleanliness to the reception counter and the lobby. I will choose this Hotel only for my next visit to Yangon.
Overall is good except the room is dim and the facilities will need to be upgraded . I have seen improvements from my previous stay in Hotel Yangon. The front office manager, Win Tun Naing is always friendly and helpful. Because of him, I have a peasant stay in Hotel Yangon and I will stay again in Hotel Yangon when I visit Yangon again.
Tried Lounge access (2nd Time) but regretted.”
As I may be wrong in my earlier feedback of my lounge experience, so I tried to booked room with access to Lounge facilities again. Sadly it is a very wrong decision for me, regretted even before start of first night. One evening, i was trying to get some light snacks or drinks for evening time lounge access (5pm to 7pm). From 5pm I waited until over 6pm and there was no people to prepare the snacks and even open the fridge so people with lounge access can get their "free flow drinks" I called to front desk and checked, I was surprised they told me, today there is no snack provided. Meaning to say, you paid for something you are entitled but they are unable to provide. No notice was place in the counter area to inform guests the (supposedly paid) service was not available. I feel this was a total rip off. ----Conclusion, never book room with lounge access.---- Recommended to book the most basic room available, all facilities available in the rooms are basically similar. PROS: - Location is near to airport. - Location is near to supermarket and eating places - Room A/C did not fail, was operating thoughout the night although it was not as cold as expected. (it is suppose to be Myanmar's winter season now) CONS: - Expected facilities might or might not be available, dependent on hotel's mood. - Water from tap are slightly brownish, never ever try to drink the tap water. (i did not try) - Windows in some rooms are in bad condition, cannot be closed fully, you will hear traffic noise from outside very clearly. Some window locks are broken, no issue as the windows are jammed anyway. - Some balcony are in very bad condition, pigeons nest and droppings everywhere. some A/C unit is placed on balcony. As hotel is a "v" shape you can see the other rooms'balcony if you stay facing the "' ''inside" of the hotel - Wifi reception is spotty, my room is in front of one of the access points but i need to be at the main door area or bathroom area to get absolute conn
Dated facilities but location is good if you prefer to stay near airport”
After numerous stays I still got my fair share of quibbles. A/C tripped in the middle of the night, this time it happened only twice during my week of stay. Last stay the A/C tripped every night for 1 whole week while I'm there!?!? Wonder if it is due to the rain or lighting. Good distance to airport without the noise of airplane flying by.
Overpriced for Lounge access”
Just book regular room if you are looking for budget hotel with basic facilities. A/C in my room trip(short) every night, Friends' complain his A/C is dripping water although it did not trip like mine. Pros: Daily 2pc laundry complementary washing. Daily 1hr use of conference room (usual Standard as with many other hotels in Yangon) Cons: Nobody manning the lounge until being called. Limited timings: 2pm-4pm thereafter 5pm-7pm. (Closes 7pm sharp) 2pm-4pm, free flow drinks not available free flow drinks only available from 5pm-7pm. offered 4 types of "food" selection for both time slots. Not sure the lounge (which is just open space around lift lobby) is permanent or temporary facility This is not the first time I brought lounge access room type in Yangon but first time in this hotel, this can be considered as the worst i have experienced in terms of lounge access. (I have tried before 4-5 different hotels ' lounge access rooms, not many but should be good enough to make a reasonable comparison) NOTE: Agoda description mentions "Shower & Bathtub" but actually it only have a standing shower facility. No bumps/strip on floor to act as separation of "Dry" and "Wet" area, be careful of your first few steps once you are done with your showering.
Convenient location ”
Its location is close to airport. In surrounding area you could easily find restaurants, and post office. Since my first stay in Y2013, I could experience its continuous improvements in facilities as well as services mind-set. Wi-Fi is more easy to connect wherever in room or its restaurant down-stair. ( The only thing still need to improvement is the network speed ). The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. This is important to commercial guests.
Hassle free check-in / check-out”
Attentive front desk staffs, check-in/check-out are fast. Especially with Agoda bookings they have already got all documentations prepared. Rooms, as usual looks dated. Could do with some refreshment/renovation.
Convenient location. I experienced their continuous improvement in facilities. I chose staying this hotel since 2013 when I made my first visit to Yangon. Since then, I repeat my booking with this hotel whenever I visit this city again.
Standard facilities, rather dated furnishings, near to Airport”
Hotel overall is rather dated. Staffs are friendly. Room is big and AC is working well (probably depends on room). My friend complains AC was not cool, maybe needs servicing. Water from tap slightly not clean, slightly brownish even after tap running for a while. Overall stay is ok
A hotel away from city traffic jam.”
Although we try very much to stay away from the city traffic jam, this hotel happen to be a constructing a flyover right in front of the hotel and making it more jammed than other part of the city!! This construction will go on for another 2 years easily.
My First Visit to Yangon”
I left my room early in the morning for a round of golf and upon my return in the evening the door to my room was left ajar, though after checking nothing were missing. The Spa was not pleasant. Had traditional massage in the same room with my friend. The masseuses were chatting with each other throughout the 90 minutes. Just imagine that!
