Amazing Service, Great Location”
We stayed at the Ramses Hilton for three nights in late April 2015. The service was top-notch, the location is excellent, and while we didn't try any of the restaurants, the breakfast was great. Unfortunately, the rooms are a little worn down, and the windows aren't terribly sound proof, so some noise from nearby seeps through into the room. PRO: - Amazing service: I'm a Hilton Honors member, so we were upgraded to a suite with a view of the Nile. Staff were always helpful (whether it be with local directions, procuring a cab, or some basic translation), and overall the service was excellent. In particular, the guest service manager (Fatma Abbas) did a great job taking care of us. - Great Location: The hotel is right across the (incredibly busy and difficult to cross) street from the Egyptian Museum, and a short walk from some restaurants and shops. It's a short cab ride to a lot of major tourist attractions and places to eat, and while the hotel has cabs available, regular Cairo taxis are also really easy to get from right outside. - Breakfast: The breakfast had a wide variety of Western and Arabic options, and it all tasted good. We even had one really nice member of staff manning the omelette station who helpfully taught us which were the appropriate condiments to put on our 'fool'. CON: - Dated rooms: Our Nile View Suite had a great view, and a nice balcony. Unfortunately, the room was quite dated and while nothing was wrong with the room itself, it could do with a bit of a re-do. Also, the windows had really nice views, but weren't fully soundproof so even though we were on the 21st floor, traffic noise still made its way through. - Wifi: Small complaint, but the wifi never worked in our rooms (only in the breakfast area). All in all, the Ramses Hilton is a great hotel in a great location. The rooms aren't perfect, but still really good, and the staff more than make up for it. I would happily recommend this hotel.
love the hotel, great staff and great location, ”
the Ramses Hilton is a wonderful hotel, friendly staff and in a great location. I had an amazing view over the River Nile and it's great to watch the city at night from the balcony. A brilliant location, right over the road from the museum, can take a while to cross the road though
Just amazing hotel ”
It was really great staying at Hilton Ramses; I stayed at the executive floor, they assigned special reception (in the 29th floor ) away from the congested normal lobby area; the staff were very helpful and friendly, the executive lounge is open from 6 AM, till 11 PM; they offered good breakfast and dinner in the lounge free of charge; the receptionists (Suzan and Hanan) were very good . I will stay in this hotel in the future.
good hotel ,large rooms, fiendly management /staff”
my family & i had a great stay at 'RAMSES'. will definately again stay at 'RAMSES'when passing through cairo. strongly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in cairo.
Kindly help from Mr. Sammy ”
We have some cities in Egypt to visit, Cairo is our first destination, then we will be in Alexandria, then back to cairo. During our travel, the staff Sammy from concierge help us to book the excurison and help us with train tickets and arragne our luggage to airport which we need not be back to Hitlon, and he kindly call me for many times for my agenda changed, and he communicated with me actively, this egypt journey thanks to him, it is very comfortable, if there is next time, i still choose this hotel as my place, thanks to it.
I stayed at the Ramses Hilton a few times on my recent Egypt trip and really enjoyed my stay. I have to say it was really worth the money except the rooms were a little shabby for a 5 star hotel.
Nice old hotel with helpful staff”
The hotel is close to the museum, but in the old city of Cairo, dirty and in disorder. The facilities in the hotel is old, but very clean and nice decorated. Staff are friendly and helpful. I don't like Cairo too much, but the hotel is good.
realsafe 5 star hotel ”
the hotel very reliable for travelers and the staff of the hotel are good for everything... please come to cairo and stay with ramses coz you are the most jewel for the hotel
Good for business traveler, and solo traveler”
Rames Hilton is located in heart of Cairo. It is closed to Egyptian Museum, Khan al khalili, and much more touristic places. Breakfast also very good, they have special juice section, so you can have fresh juice.
good location & comfortable room”
it was good choice in Cairo. the hotel is located beside of Nile and if you choose nile view room, you can enojoy night view of cairo.
Great location on the nile ”
Great location on the nile , nice breakfast, efficient and smooth check in and c heck out. very friendly staff specially at the reception. In the center of Cairo, the public night nile boats takes a 30 min circile in the nile should not be missed. The hotel all in all is old and needs renovation.
Convenient location facing Nile, noisy though ”
It's a nice hotel, convenient, professional. But the hotel is kind of 3 star grade, relatively old. With such price and surrounding neighborhood - some remodeling & upgrade will make the stay worthwhile! As every Egyptian I came across commenting that tourism is so important to Egypt - and having a more well-maintained hotel should b one of their priorities ESP under Hilton name! Anyways..... Cons - carpet, toilet - clean but not well maintained! Phone went dead! Etc Ultra noisy as its close to highway! But guess sirens, horning is unavoidable in Cairo Pros - overlooking Nile is amazing!! Helpful staff. An indoor mall just right across with a cafe that you can enjoy shisha alone even u r a gal (wo much disturbances), close to Egyptian museum (10-15 min walk), do head to groppi - kinda a sweet cafe with very cheap egytian sweets as souvenir !
The hotel is located right in the middle of all the activity of Cairo, so from there, you can go and have an evening ride on a felucca (sailboat) to watch the sunset. Or you can walk across the busy bridge over the River Nile and enjoy the sights and aromas of this ancient city. The room was comfortable and had a small but adequate balcony overlooking the river.
Nice, corporate hotel in the heart of Cairo”
Hilton so we could be closer to the downtown attractions. TBH, I didn't realize it was THE Hilton when I booked it - we must have got a nice discount (thanks Agoda! lol). The room was very nice. At check-in they gave us two single beds, not the King room we actually paid for, but later “upgraded” us to the a King (gee, thanks…). We never got to try the food. The pool (one of the reasons we booked) sadly closed at 6 pm so we never got to try that either, but we did enjoy poolside with our duty free. Location is good, but while it’s technically close to the Egypt Museum and Railway Station (we had a train to catch next night) it’s a logistical nightmare to get to either due to the hotel being smack in the middle of spaghetti highways (noisy, even with double glazing). They did nice allow us to shower and change at the pool after a LONG day touring around with our guide. I was surprised, actually. For the price (surely heavily discounted) we would return for a longer stay.
Nice hotel in downtown Cairo ”
Fast check in , clean room with comfortable bed. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Hotel location was good; in the center of Cairo and overlooking the Nile river.
Good value for the money. ”
Stayed at King executive room - Nile river view. 29th fl. Indian restaurant Maharaja at the ground level serving Indian lunch and dinner. Good taste. Lot of choice on morning breakfast. Opp to Egypt museum and 2 Kms to Cairo tower. Very good staff.
not worth for money”
their price is only name for Hilton. Location is good, near to Nile river, Egypt museum. Bed was clean, but overall facility & room condition is old. When i go to Cairo again, will try other hotels.
Good hotel with good sevice but old fashioned room”
Normal Hilton hotel with the assuming services. Due to tourism crisis in Egypt it had two restaurants closed (out of four) We also saw many Indian soldiers staying overnight. Good service. Mind the taxi drivers.
Very Noisy, but very convenient”
it sounded music from the nile river, so very noisy until 3:00a.m. but the view of the window is very beautiful, and you can use the pool where you can see the nile. cairo is the caos city, but you can reach the hotel easily, because the hotel is very famous the symbol of the town, and is near the bus terminal from the air port.
simply very good .”
It is really fantastic . Hotel is very clean and confort . Breakfat is fine . Location is good . Staff are very friendly , well mannar . We all enjoy very much at our stay .
