I was very pleasantly surprised ! Even with renovations going on while I was there the staff and facilities were amazing ! Could not have asked for a better vacation. Very clean & staff went above and beyond. The valet service was well worth the extra money too .

The Sun & Sands were going through renovations/updates at he time of our stay. However, this place was quiet, convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Chose on the basis of hot tub, sauna, bar and inside pool and saw none of these. There was no cable and cd's had to be gotten from the lobby but only one movie at a time was allowed. Chose a side view room to see part of the ocean and city but could see neither because they were blocked by trees.
Location right next to the free bus stop, few minutes from everything. Room clean and air con was which was needed with the humidity!

This resort is amazing... we never even went to the beach there was so much to do and the water park was awesome! Our room was in the Kingston plantation condos... it was nice but our room didn’t get consistent daily housekeeping so we had to ask for several things but the staff was quick to accommodate. Kudos to manager Lindy White for making me feel totally at home. Stayed for nearly a month and found hotel very comfortable. Nice location, they only clean your room every forth day. When your on a beach it should be done daily. We were on the top floor, pigeons were on our balcony all the time, not once did anyone clean the poop up. Made our balcony useless. Had a water stain on the ceiling $5.00 worth of paint would have taken care of

Booked a 400sf room (showed as 4 adults and 2 children) and got a standard 280sf. Hotel staff said they don’t have rooms that big. Management never bothered to call me back following my complaint. Place was clean. Breakfast is nothing special although the make your own waffles were good. Pool was closed for the winter and the gym was extremely small.
we had roaches, ac unit had no cover on it wires everywhere on it. curtains were falling off window and you could see in. TV didnt work at all dirty period. We had our 1 year old with us and didnt want her on the floor. Also smelled of smoke and cleaning agent

breakfast was chaotic with most people looking for pancake syrups, crema cheese , eggs etc ... just to be told that there’s none available anymore. Then minutes later another staff would show up and just pull them out somewhere ... at a time when we’re done with bfast. Staffs are just not that helpful .

I read a LOT of negative reviews, but really it wasn’t that bad. The rooms were huge, the beds were comfortable, and everything worked. There were some things that could have used an upgrade, but all in all, given the location I’d totally stay here again. It definitely wasn’t a “resort”, but for being right on the beach it was worth it to me.
Facility was respectable but unfortunately the room a little musty. Turns out the AC/heating unit did not work (that's probably why the room was musty). Also had an in-room refrigerator which sounded like a ticking time-bomb all night (apparently the fan in the unit was rubbing on something). Needless to say unfortunately - not a good night's sleep!
I literally killed about 10 roaches staying in this hotel. I did not even unpack my things because I did not want to take any home. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel.

Loved this property with awesome pools and Beach area! They need more umbrellas by the pool as there are only a handful. Pool opens at 9am and there's a line to get in every morning with folks rushing to get those few spots. Property beautiful and we'll maintained.
