The long drive going there was the only relaxing part of the trip”
Considering that this is a Honeymoon House, it wasn’t well kept. The beddings dont look clean. The airconditioner made loud sounds. The water heater wasn’t working. The water pressure was very weak. The kitchen area was dirty. I wasnt able to try the beach because I didnt know how I’ll shower after. I still gave one star for the friendly staff.

Good for Relexation”
Sunrise Cove is the last resort in the string of resorts in Calatagan. It's about 8 kms from the town proper, really far. If you want peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. You really can't do anything but swim (when it is high tide) and contemplate (when it is low tide). The sunrise is really magnificent in this place. Other than that. if you are looking for anything else, then this is not the place.

One of the best destinations in Calatagan, Batangas! ”
I was a bit hesitant first to book at Sunrise Cove here in Agoda because it has only two stars but thank God I decided to check the details and read the reviews. To my surprise, the reviews are promising and pushed me to book here. I have also checked the reviews on Tripadvisor as an additional reference. No regrets after all. I and my family really had an amazing stay in Sunrise Cove and I would like to point out some details: Positive: 1. The place was secluded and a bit far from other resorts so you could really have the privacy. This is the perfect beach resort if you’re not into crowd. 2. The resort’s theme will make you feel like you are so closed to nature and how to live a simple-province-type-of-life. 3. There are kitchens in the room / cottage so you could bring / cook your own food without a corkage fee. However, using the kitchen has a 1000php charge. 4. The staff are amazing and very hospitable. I would also commend Ms. Lira (the manager) for being so accommodating and considerate to our requests. The service is also astonishing! 5. They are not too strict with the early check in / late check out requests because again, the staff are so accommodating. Because I have encountered some resorts that will charge you even if you are just extending for an hour only. 6. The staff regularly clean up the beach 7. The resort strictly follow garbage segregation. 8. The resort lives up to its name, they do have an amazing sunrise ❤️ Neutral / Negative: 1. The facilities / cottages need improvement. They are already bit old. The hot and cold shower’s not working and the bathroom floor (tiles) needs a major clean up. 2. No towels / toilettries so you better bring your own. 3. Even if the staff regularly clean up the beach, you could still encounter trash :( I guess the trash comes from nearby islands / places and it is just disheartening to see. 4. The beach has been overpopulated by seagrass so if you are looking for a crystal blue sea, this is not th

Their Name Is Perfect!”
If you want to be away from the city Sunrise Cove is the place to go! Know for yourself why It's named Sunrise Cove. Nature at its best! It's the farthest location in Calatagan. The vibe is very tropical and all accommodation is so cute! The food choices are limited but the servings is generous so you get the value of your money. The sea itself: clear waters, a bit salty but just right; there are many seaweeds and live little fishies and other small creatures. The place is so instagrammable! The only problem is the AC and I think it's because of the doors. It's so hard to open and close the door that you'd just let it open na lang and I guess that's what caused the AC problem started. Anyway, if you want peace, this is where you'd go. I went with a friend but The Place is also good for group of friends or families. The people are also nice and accommodating!

Perfect Getaway”
This place is awesome. Rooms are very well kept and well maintained. Staff are very accommodating. Very relaxing. Our kids enjoyed the beach. They cant get enough of the sand and warm, shallow waters of the beach. I will surely recommend this place to my friends..

Hidden little paradise”
I was being skeptical already while we were on our way to this resort. It is faaar! But you know how it works, the more effort you put to it, the greater fruit! We booked the main house/villa. It is the perfect nature resthouse that we can ll dream of. An open living room and dining area and the sea is your entire view. Rooms are airconditioned but don't expect too much as they have these small air conditioning units. One room has fan only but definitely not a problem because it gets cold by night. The working kitchen is a plus. We can definitely see the effort of maintaining the place.

Sunrise Cove is a perfect getaway place if you want to visit a beach area without a huge flak of people. We booked a Sunday-Monday stay in summer and we were the only people in the area. We booked House 2B, the space is just right for our family of six. There is a working kitchen which perfect since we just cooked everything we ate. There is a floating cottage where we had our dinner and lunch. It was awesome. The staff was really friendly and very accommodating. The only negative thing I can say is that the location is a bit far from the city, approximately 4 hours away from Manila, and corkage for the use of the kitchen is 700 pesos.

Relaxing Getaway”
We were able to relax as the place was peaceful. We were not able to swim at the beach as it was shallow. This place is more of sightseeing and bonding with family and friends. We spent most of our time at the beachfront and in the house. We cooked our own food too.

Few miles away from relaxation.”
Very relaxing and peaceful place to spend your weekends or off. The people who manage and maintain the resort are very accommodating and friendly, so as the residents around the resort 🙂 The treehouse room is very cute but spacious at the same time. We enjoyed cooking our food for free and eat with a nice overlooking view of the beach. The only concern that I have is the beach it is not recommended for swimming.

Sunrise Cove”
Very peaceful and relaxing place. If you are in search for a quick getaway no too far from Manila then this is tje right place for you. Just dont go there for beach swimming purposes as the water is really shallow and has lots of seagrass and broken corals. Thus, be sure to wear slippers when you walk along the beach. I've seen videos of people who visited this place before doing snorkelling and swimming in a deeper part of the resort. I think, in order for you to do that you will need to go farther. You may contact their receptionist if you can book a boat to bring you to that spot. Rooms are very affordable and has everything that you need (except toiletries and towels which you can buy and rent from the resort). All accomodations has its own private kitchen and CR. They dont have a restaurant so be sure to bring food before going there. The only thing that I dont like about the place is that I can see a lot of trash on the adjacent lot beside the resort. Like really distracting pile of garbages. The beach front of the resort is really clean and well kept as they have staffs who cleans the area but the garbage beside them is really an eyesore. Their staffs are very friendly and helpful. There is a small store in the resort for your basic needs but if you need to buy something that is not in there, just tell the staff and they can arrange to have someone buy it for you. They dont charged us when we asked but please be generous to these very hospitable and kind personnels. We hope to find time and visit the place again soon. ♥️

Chillux to the max'”
If you are looking for a place that has fast wi-fi, steaks, eat all you can buffet, breakfast in bed, a crowded bar with over flowing drinks and a night party' well this place is not for you! I'm a family man with 2 kids already, looking for a place where i can escape the tech world' then i found this "Sunrise Cove" as the end of a long road, feels like traveling at the end of the world' hahaha I booked the "Loft" which is good for 14-16 pax, but we are only 2 Seniors, 2 Adults and 2 Kids. The place was so quiet and serene' there's no TV in our place, which resulted in a kwentuhan and total family bonding' that's hard to do in this fast pacing world. Since there's a kitchen available, we cooked our meals on our own and it was really good' i unlock the "chop/slice ingredients" achievement also got a Gold Medal for washing the dishes. It was really a fun stay for me and my family. There are Negative reviews about this place, but it's how you would react and enjoy the moments.

Lovely location spoilt by lack of thought ”
Location very quiet and rustic. No facilities. No towels, soap, plug in sink, toilet seat broken. Completely self catering. Seawater not deep enough to swim except at high tide. The beach outside the resort was cleaned daily but the rubbish was dumped on the same beach about 200 metres away. Outside the resort area the beach was strewn with all manner of plastic glass and metal rubbish. Although self catering we were provided with food which was home cooked and very good. I have to say it was expensive though. Sadly the rustic aspect was the best thing about it but I would not return here.

Acceptable”
staff are very accommodating. However, facilities were not well maintained. Dogs are annoying, they are always under the dining table every time we eat. Worst is, you will be surprised in the morning that all the garbage are scattered in the floor. The sea is full of garbage. We can't even swim and we never enjoyed the sea. Low tide from 11am until 2pm. Full of grass and garbage. Suggest that you add swimming pool so your guest have options to go to swimming pool instead.
