Amazing Water Palace Accommodations ”
Staying at the Water Palace was an exceptional experience. The water palace is a tourist attraction and literally hundreds of tourists come to visit every day. Staying there is a treat - you can walk the gardens, fountains, grounds alone after it is closed to the public - the public pools are empty in the mornings as well and it is a treat to swim alone in the palace pools. The restaurant is good and overlooks the beautiful grounds - service is excellent. We stayed at the Villa Raja - a truly royal accommodation and in fact, we were treated like royalty! There is little else in the area -- the is a THE destination in the area and we loved the experience.
Well worth the money”
Quite a bit more expensive than other places in Bali but absolutely worth it. There are a very small number of villas so the staff all knew who we were and were willing to go above and beyond. The water palace itself is incredible. It's small, but there's just so much detail and little hidden corners. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet place to experience traditional Balinese culture.
The gardens are beautiful. Note that the night lighting shown in ads is for weddings only. Also, parking is a short distance away.
Beautiful but don't use the restaurant ”
The place is pretty and the clean. The staff is friendly. But avoid the restaurant. The food is tasteless and expensive. In fact this was the only place where coffee was bad!
Staff remember me from earlier stays. Waiter Agusti greets me always by my name, all staff are great. Tirta Ayu Restaurant is overlooking the wonderful Water Garden. Daytime a bit crowded with local visitors, at night very quiet and relaxing.
Great place to stay and relax”
Great location and Staff, tasty food, and beautiful water palace. Pick-up and Drop off car service is great!
Good, but hardly worth the money”
We decided to stay at this hotel because of all the good recommendations on different websites. After all I have to say it was a good stay, but nothing special. PRO'S: + Clean rooms + Big bathrooms (unfortunately not so clean) + Very nice area with the water palace CON'S: - No quiet place at all because of all the water palace visors - No hotel parking - AC was not working as it should, and in the middle of the night it began to drop water in our room - Restaurant closes at 9pm, last order 8:30pm! - I always had the impression, that the staff was not happy at all, when we just went for a coffee or a juice - No breakfast included, which I think that for this price you can expect it - Restaurant expensive, but nothing special CONCLUSION: It was a OK stay for one night, but that's it. You will definitely find better hotels on Bali
The location is excellent, magic to be alone in the water palace during sunset or sunrise.. Breakfast is good and the restaurant has a very good view on the water palace but dinner food is average
great small hotel in a royal water palace”
Everything was great, there are only a few rooms, plenty of space for each traveller. Villas with every comfort, Moskito nets at night, daytime a small pool in front of the Villas. Relaxing restaurant with excellent food, good service, friendly staff.
Tirta Ayu Hotel/Water Palace”
We had an excellent stay. It was peaceful and the staff were friendly and efficient. The close links with the community meant that we were able to find local knowledgable guides for trecking and visiting local sites of interest. The food and service at the Restaurant was excellent, while there were a number of Warungs in the area that also provided excellent fare.
Awesome stay in the Water Palace!”
It was the highlight of my Bali trip (apart from scuba diving which is why I went to Bali). I ended up changing my plans so I could stay here longer, wandering around the Water Palace gardens and cooling off in the pools... as well as being the location of a real palace, this isn't just a tourist location, it's a popular holiday spot for Balinese as well: the night I was there a Balinese family had hired out part of the hotel for a private party, and we were treated to lovely music and glimpses of the beautiful dancers. I stayed in the Rajah's pavilion and as a solo traveller appreciated the luxury and the kindness of the staff. ALSO if you stay in the Rajah's pavilion you get a private skinnydipping plunge pool!
simply breath-taking! ”
From the second we arrived we were treated luxuriously and location, views of the gardens are stunning. Staff were exceptional. ..highly recommend a stay.
Family holiday with elderly parents”
Perfect location. Lovely staff. Rooms very comfortable. Lovely shower. Wifi was intermittent and never strong. A mandi in toilet would be good. Tastefully renovated and restored. Would love to be able to hurry back
We enjoyed our stay ver much. While booking we had not realised that the hotel was onthe temple grounds, which was awesome. Do take the bicycle tour offered by the hotel, that was a morning well spend. And donot forgot to take a dip in the temple pool.
This hotel is located inside a beautiful water garden park. The room was nice, the staff was very friendly, and the ambiance was relaxing. There isn't much else to see in Tirta Gangga, but I would recommend this place for people traveling through.
We had the most relaxing time at the Tirta Ayu it was so peaceful, the staff where friendly and helpful, the water gardens where relaxing to walk around even though the palace gardens where open to the public, it was still quiet and peaceful, will stay there again.
Fantastic we will be stay there again. The staff are very friendly and the location is magic
It was fantastic we would stay there again. It's must for anyone
