Excellent Hotel”
The rooms are very modern and new and everything worked. The location is at the top of the hill and a 5 minute walk from a little supermarket and a couple of restaurants. It is a 30 minute walk or 1JD taxi to the entrance of Petra. They offer a packed lunch for JD6 to take to Petra which was good. Breakfast is standard and absolutely fine. The pool was good too after a hot day of sight seeing. The only slight niggle was the staff as they forgot the drinks in the lunch box and promised us them upon our return. When we came back it was a different member of staff who refused to give us the drinks and then told us we should have checked out as he couldn't read the correct check out date. This took 30 minutes to sort out which was irritating. And the next day when we checked out there was an extra item on our bill which we hadn't had and it took 5 minutes for them to finally take it off the bill. However, I would stay there again as it was spotless and comfortable.

Very Friendly and helpfull staff which made up for the minor issues we experienced after checking in. This is very much a little above a backpackers. The photos are deceptively good.

The hotel has a problem with agoda”
near downtown, budget hotel and nice breakfast
The hotel has a problem with agoda. He wanted us pay in cash when we checked out cuz he said the agoda did not pay any money to him. He could give a receipt and let we refund money back from agoda later but agoda already charged us by credit card. No ones wants to pay twice !!!! So i hope agoda will solve this problem with this hotel. Of cause not only me booked this hotel and gonna have more people book through agoda. The hotel was near the downtown and can walk to petra about 20 mins but too hot weather outside. by taxi to petra 2JD. Breakfast was good but have in the another hotel next to. The reception cant speak english well but he were so nice and help for everthing. Room was clean and silent.

Great choice in Wadi Musa”
Quiet, good customer service, great breakfast
Great stay in this hotel. The staff were very accommodating, and a fantastic breakfast is provided in the next-door hotel, and a big breakfast is needed to tour Petra on foot. Although a short distance from Petra, you can buy groceries, snacks and water away from the Petra site at a substantial savings from the restaurants/shops that are within a few blocks of the site. Highly recommended for staying out of the TOURIST zone while in Wadi Musa. Why spend JD 1-2 for 1.5 litres of water near Petra, when you can spend JD 2 for 8 litres up the hill; or spend 9 JD for a meal, when 2 JD buys great shwarma up the hill a ways?

small, simple b&b near petra”
Friendly owner
pros: very friendly owner who is onsite constantly and eager to see to your needs. he prepared a simple supper for me after i napped through dinner hour. all indoor spaces are non-smoking rooms are a little dated, but clean and functional. second floor rooms at the back have a terrific view over the petra mountains. breakfast is a good jordanian buffet of meats, cheeses, yogurt, breads, hard boiled eggs & condiments. rooftop terrace with spectacular view cons: rooms are dated, plumbing a little temperamental (they had just installed a new hot water system, so maybe working out kinks), rooftop terrace undergoing renovation so not really useful at present.

Excellent experience and best value in Petra”
Staff, cozy atmosphere
we have been to a lot of hotels in jordan and this was by far the best in terms of the experience and the value. the hotel has a very cozy comfortable feel about it and ibrahim and his staff are incredible. they will go out of their way to ensure everything is catered for and treat you like family. they were very good in arranging various trips and services and helped us in making arrangements at rates lower than what we found around. the rooms are spacious and very cozy and certainly feel like a home in jordan. beds are comfortable with very good heating / air-conditioning. we had trouble with heating in other hotels as it can get very cold in winter but the heating here was fabulous. you have hot water via solar heating and large, thick bath towels. there is satellite tv and dvd player (on request). the lobby has books and movies and is a very good corner for sitting and reading or chatting with others. tea/ coffee is available any time. there is a very good shuttle service to petra and back. breakfast is fresh and very good to last you for a good hiking day in petra. you have excellent places for dinner and local sweets nearby, including supermarkets and staff will be more than happy to point you to good ones and tell you the local prices since tourists are often overcharged in the area. they can also arrange trips to wadi rum, aqaba or the dead sea at very good rates or tell you what you should be paying if you were to arrange it yourself. we also took a look at other hotels while we were there and this is definitely the best hotel in town.

Poor value for money spent.”
The breakfast here was a tad more elaborate than any place we stayed at in Jordan.
At first we were really pleased with the room in spite of the price we paid for it.

Essentially an Somewhat Upscale Backpackers Hotel”
Good price
Far from entrance to Petra; musty smell in the room.
If you are looking of a nicer-level backpacker hotel, this place will make you happy. If you are looking for a standard 3-star hotel, you will be disappointed. The owners/managers are very friendly and helpful, but the hotel is essentially a 'pensionne.' Rooms are square concrete blocks; bathrooms are basic and a bit musty. They offer a shuttle to the gates of Petra, but that locks you into a schedule. We had a rental car anyway and so drove down and parked near the gates each morning. (Parking near the gates is free and easy to find in the early morning hours.)

Pleasant budget hotel”
Owner friendly and helpful
Very basic rooms
Great if you are just looking for a room to sleep to allow you to explore Petra. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Has buffet dinner cooked by his mother which is fantastic and costs only 10JD. They provide transport to Petra twice a day. However, rooms are very basic but clean. The bathroom is tired and needs improvement. It is probably value for money given where it is.

small hotel, very friendly, good service”
free shuttle service from Hotel to Petra entrance and free pickup at Petra can be arranged as well.
too far to walk to Petra from hotel but its ok because free shuttle is provided
i stayed here in April 2010. The hotel has 8 rooms. i searched a lot and found it hard to find a reasonably priced hotel which is clean. this one satisfied. rooms are too simple, very small, no TV, no closet and no mini bar. just a bed and a bathroom. it was ok though because after so much walking in Petra and Wadi Rum i just felt like sleeping anyway.

An Inn in the sticks.”
It is good value, the rooms are clean, the beds are made daily using good quality bed linen and beds. There is free air con in the rooms and the breakfast buffet is good. If you just want a place to through your bits and sleep not too bad. there is a good general shop opposite very small but useful and cheap.
The inn only has a few rooms they are noisy as on main street in to Wadi Musa, unfortunatley it is one of the furthest places from the enterance to Petra. the hotel runs a free service to Petra but it is unreliable(2JD to get taxi back). The atmosphere is not right I know it sounds strange but not a place I would choice to go back to, but that may just be me. The staff are mostly family a couple and there teenage lads plus a cleaner.
As above I feel this place doesn't realy work, It is not old and was originaly good quality but bits of the decoration in the rooms are hanging off, the sink and toilet in one of our rooms was badly cracked. The rooms are lovely and cleen. I feel sorry that it has been left to get to this state. The owners may be new or may be inexperianced. The inn doubles as the owners home so the lounge is always in use be the family with the TV on.

Valley Stars in is a good mid range place to stay!”
Rooms & toilets were clean. Sheets were spotless. Staff were attentive.
20 minute walk from Petra, though that is not much of a problem. Small rooms, just enough for 2 people with minimal luggage
I may stay here again as the rooms, though basic, were sufficient. Do not bring more than a couple of backpacks... there is no place in the small rooms. There are a few restaurants 10 mins away, so you will never have a problem for food. Overall, a good experience. I would recommend this hotel as a budget accommodation.
