Best place to stay with visiting Inle Lake”
i arrived very early in the morning around seven a.m. and my villa was ready which was a blessing after the 14-hour bus ride from yangon. it is much better to stay there or at the 3 other hotels on the lake proper than at the village of nyaungshwe which is a long boat ride from the inle lake sights. at villa inle resort, all the staff was great but i have to make a special mention about the guest relations manager, a german lady, who was incredibly helpful. the villas are very nice. this is a new hotel that opened in november 2011. the only aspect of this place that could be improved is the quality of the food served at their restaurant. it is passable and the service as elsewhere in the hotel is great but at prices charged for the meals and considering the overall excellent quality of this hotel, one would expect gourmet food. for example, getting an onion soup with a small slab of processed cheese on top was a disappointment. where was the gruyère cheese?

Amazing place. Gorgeous surroundings ”
I would Highly recommend that anyone travelling to Inle Lake in Myanmar visit this hotel. We took a 30-40 minute boat ride from Nyaung Shwe... and it was amazing. I could have lived at this hotel! Inle Lake is one of those very special places on earth that you will never forget. The views from this hotel are stunning. We had the Lake Front view, and it was worth every penny! We had our complimentary breakfast delivered to our room each morning and sat on the front porch looking across the water. This place is like a wildlife preserve, you will see water buffalo, and farmers working on the water front. The room was spectacular, if we were married this would have been our honeymoon destination.

Best room in Myanmar!”
villa inle resort easily had the best room we encountered in myanmar. very large room with large patio facing the lake. this is a new resort and the rooms have been designed and fitted out beautifully. the spa is not yet complete, which was a shame. restaurant food is about as good as you get anywhere in myanmar. service is excellent, the manager eddie is a gem and very knowledgebable. eddie arranged a fantastic day boat trip around the lake. the resort itself is on the lake side but there is a lot of tomato farming on floating islands between the resort and the clear water of the lake.

Villa Inle Lake, Wonderful.”
Simply a stunning place to stay at Inle Lake on the lake. Mountains behind and the lake in front. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful sunset over the lake from the swimming pool terrace and a a full moon rising at the same time over the mountains. The pool is huge as are the Villas. The gardens are beautiful and give a wonderful feeling if space and privacy. Staff really friendly and the night time service of coming to your room with a ginger tea and turn down service to wrap up the massive bed in the mosquito net fantastic. Highly recommend as a luxury indulgence.

Perfect retreat with a view of the lake”
Villa Inle Resort is a gorgeous hotel. Each suite is a separate bungalow nestled in nature with a terrace overlooking the lake. The suite is beautifully designed and very comfortable, it was hard not to stay in the room all day. The food in the hotel restaurant was very good and the service was excellent. The pool and bar were under construction and would be something to look forward to once done. Wi-fi was very slow though so don't expect to go online

A trip to remember! ”
Out of all of the hotels we stayed at in Myanmar this was, by far, our favorite. The villa was huge and comfortable. The freestanding tub was delightful and the views of the lake and grazing buffalo were beyond words. We spent two days on a long-tail boat exploring the floating villages. The hotel tells me that they're working on a children's menu which they really need. Internet service in the room was not consistent. Thank you to the wonderful people at Ville Inle Resort and Spa

A Great Stay On the Lke”
We loved our stay at the Villa Inle Resort And Spa. It is a very peaceful place to stay with attentive staff who were always willing to accomodate our requests. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Inle Lake again. Well done to all the staff and groundskeepsers 5* from me.

beautiful room”
villa inle has beautiful modern rooms in a very peaceful setting. staffs are friendly and want to be helpful. one can watch sunset on the spacious terrace. we loved this place! the only drawback is the restaurant. because it tries to be a luxury hotel, the dinner settings are too formal for a resort on inle lake. the food is only ok. my husband ordered a curry chicken and the meat with fatty skin in an oily sauce. we also tried some other dishes, such as chicken sandwiches, etc, all equally disappointing. to avoid the stuffy atmosphere, we changed to room service after the first night. the breakfast is awesome with freshly baked pastries.

My best hotel experience in Myanmar”
From the moment I stepped into the lobby I felt welcome. The service was personalized and most attentive. The tastefully decorated bungalow with its terrasse right to the lake was spacious and most quiet. I enjoyed the delicious dinners, especially the local freshwater fish with a herbal filling.I liked the green theme and the fresh vegetables and fruits from the local market. They organized a day trip on the lake which was tailored right to my interests. I couldn´t have made a better choice at Inle Lake.

Luxury by the lake”
Very nice Lakefront villa with view of the lake and hills in a natural environment with lots of plants and trees around. Excellent staff service. We stayed in a lot to enjoy the villa and surrounding. There are a lot of mosquitoes around Inle Lake but the insect repellent provided by hotel helps a lot.

Stunning resort on the Lake”
We had a wonderful time at Villa Inle Resort and Spa - the villas are just beautiful and spacious, and have a wonderfully romantic feel. The restaurant, bar and pool area was great, and we had the best massages of our trip at the spa. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the while the location is far from town you have the most incredible view of the lake - its a magical experience.

Beautifully situated hotel for Inle Lake tours”
Villa Inle is out of the town, giving you a quiet place to stay and relax, enjoy the surroundings of the hotel or venture out onto the lake by boat. The hotel is up a little from the lake, but directly connected by a small channel through floating gardens. The staff are amazing! So helpful, without being pushy - they really make the place superb. Thanks!

Absolutely Spectacular”
Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment we arrived until we departed. The reception staff were amazing, the "bell boys" were great, the room is an absolute dream with first class amenities. Showers pressure that can knock your socks off. Best Internet service we had in all of Myanmar. Tours around Inle Lake were great. Restaurant food was very good. Myanmar traditional massage was good.

One of the finest hotels I've ever stayed.”
This hotel is absolutely amazing. The staff were super friendly, and welcoming. The people who work here were just incredibly nice to us. Inle Lake is perhaps the most gorgeous place I've ever been. I would highly recommend staying here. We also had the traditional Myanmar Massage in out room. It was very relaxing!

Great hotel with large, wonderful rooms”
This was one of the, if not the nicest, hotel room I have ever stayed in. Large, beautifully detailed room with separate bathroom w/ freestanding bathtub and separate shower, comfortable bed and beautiful deck to have breakfast overlooking Inle Lake. Great food. A wonderful stay!

fabulous hotel”
General Manager), front office manager and guest relations and the entire staff could be nicer, friendlier or more accommodating. We were fortunate to have been ungraded to a lakefront villa, which offers great views. It is obvious that the villas have been designed and decorate professionally with luxury in mind. The dual sinks are brass with tasteful ethichings; the tub is fantastic for soaking and/or bubble baths, Each villa is 100 square meters. It is on the shore of the lake so you aren't bothered early mornings by the sounds of boats. You fill out your breakfast request and the time you want to have breakfast (either in the dining room or in your own villa) and it is ready for you. One morning we had breakast on our porch which was wonderful with the morning views to the east green hills. There are far too many positives to iterate. The only disappointing thing (a minor thing) was that the toilet did not have a toilet spray. We loved the hotel so much that we cut 1 day off our stay in Yangon in order to stay an extra day just to relax and enjoy our villa. Like many hotels on the lake you are rather captive when it comes to where to have dinner. Thus the cost is higher than you might normally pay, but not outrageously so. Currently, they have 16 villas, but are building others. They already have a spa as part of the lobby, which is a bit of a distance from their jetty. But that is being remedied as the lobby is moving close to their jetty and will include a sunset bar. The current building for the lobby and spa will be used just for the spa. They have 80 staff who live on work on the premises and all of whom are wonderfully friendly, from the gardeners to the waiters to the bellboys, etc.

Inle Lake Adventure”
Mostly very good, but on one occasion noise from machine wood cutting- the village backs on close to the site. The staff dealt with it very quickly, but we wondered how often this was a problem Spa treatments were good and very reasonably priced. food in the restaurant was of good quality and service very friendly. Our visit to Inle Lake was a highlight of our trip, but noted there was a lot of new hotels under construction, so things will not stay the sae for much longer.

Beautiful hotel, great sunsets, terrace breakfas ”
The hotel is beautiful and it has the wow factor. The are not yet up to western standards in terms of service, amenities or food but the spacious well decorated rooms and the surroundings makes you forget about everything. The villas are huge, the bathroom with double bath tube is inviting and the terrace has a gorgeous view. We chose a river view room and it was worth the price difference. I took a lot of nice pics from the terrace at both sunrise and sunset. You can also ask for breakfast at the terrace overlooking the fields and the boats. A very nice way to start the day (have in mind that the country´s pace is very slow and allow yourself at least 1 hour). That being said it is really expensive if you take into account the average wedges and costs in Myanmar. If you want to have a day trip at Inle Lake, I would suggest you book it at Inle before you board the boat to arrive to the hotel. Our ride was included in a tour we did the day before, so I don´t know the cost. We weren´t in a mood for checking prices and we took the first option that was offered to us because we found it very convenient: 20 USD for a private boat for the day tour from 8:30 - 4:30 pm.

Great location and peaceful resort”
Overall the stay was excellent. Staff were friendly and the food was quite good. Breakfast buffet was quite comprehensive and extra requests were handled just fine. The pool is nice and big enough but quiet. If you have kids under 10, it will be too quiet by the poolside for them. Most people at the resort were couples or retirees, not many kids. One thing to bear in mind is that there is a huge tomato farm on the lake in front of the resort, so although the lake villas are on the lake's edge - it doesn't look like it due to the tomato farm (which grows in the lake). In saying that however, every morning we were greeted by cranes and water buffalos that grazed on our lawn right in front of the villa - that really excited the kids. From the location the resort has a boat you can rent for the day at a reasonable price, that will take you to all the sites. We didn't spend much time in the main city centre which was good as there isn't much to see there. The spa was ok, not worth the cost to be frank. Finally although it was a great stay, it was also one of the most expensive hotels during our tour of Myanmar and arguably is a bit over-priced for what you get…. but in saying that, we would stay here again.

Relaxed, pampered, unique, luxurious”
I loved Villa Inle, the staff and ambience were superb and the grounds most attractive. Little touches such as the more adventurous fruit bowl and goodnight drink made it that little bit special. The bathroom was amazing as was all interior décor and thought to detail. Would definitely recommend.
