Fabulous! ”
We stayed one night in Villa Tehilla while we toured Rosh Pinna and the local area. The hotel is charming, quirky and full of character. When we checked in,Tehilla sat us down told us the whole story of how she and her husband came to be in Rosh Pinna! Our room was lovely, with a cute balcony overlooking the garden. The service was great and made us feel like we were Tehilla's special guests. The breakfast was tasty, the garden area and courtyards cobbled and charming. Stay there if you want a very different experience from being just a room number in a massive hotel.

Fairy Tale Lodging”
Villa Tehila is a gem set in the hills of Rosh Pina, it was the first of its kind, setting a trend for B&B style lodgings. The hostess, Tehila, was gracious and informative. In addition to providing the history, she set up our tours and restaurant reservations before we arrived with many helpful suggestions. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated, but the property is the real heart-stopper. Lush with tropical vegetation we walked through a lemon tree to get to our rooms, passing by cages with gerbils and guinea pigs and an aviary. Follow the path and you come upon a barn with llamas, and less exotic animals like horses and goats. The breakfast was delicious and generous. I recommend this establishment without reservation, and know that I will return on my next trip north.

Before you book, know what you want”
Why you shouldn't stay here: - if you want all mod cons. It was brilliantly done, some considerable years/decades ago - if you want peace and quiet. The courtyards can be noisy with families etc. And birds etc - the breakfast is good Israeli but not very US/European - if you worry about the Cobbliest Cobbles underfoot ANYWHERE - if you want rapid modern service. Tehila is a delightful woman in if I may say her twilight years with a bad back and overseeing this place is clearly a strain for her and her husband who isn't very friendly (and I can understand why). The other people were OK but no more - we stayed in ground floor room 9 first night and it was small quiet dark and claustrophobic, little space for luggage on the floor, the soundproofing was thin (the door?) and so it felt as if we were sharing with a family with small kids. My wife was unimpressed ("Hmm ... !") - this place is not cheap for what it is, particularly if you are from the UK with our plummeting £! Why you SHOULD STAY: + the location is really perfect for the galleries and restaurants. Its also high on the hill with super views + the rooms are dated but charming one-off pieces +Tehila is clearly a delightful and very interesting woman + she offered to move us to room 10 (as per my original email request, and given it was empty, we could have gone their on the first night!) + Room 10 was up a narrow outdoor twisting staircase so hard to take luggage up but MY! What a view! Outdoor balcony at the entrance and the room. Glorious views, the best in the Villa. Much smarter, done more recently. More space. A room that superficially was quite similar to room 9 was perhaps (my wife) "one of the very loveliest we have ever stayed in", compared with room 10 which was one of the least nice. How strange it is that small differences can make such a profound overall difference! So a memorable and unusual set of experiences. Ian
