Nice quiet spot in the middle of the downtown area”
We had a good stay at 4 boys, staff was friendly and helpful. All the rooms don't have balcony, fridge etc so if you have special wishes better to confirm. Room was clean and comfy and everything worked well, just for wifi we needed to go to the lobby or to the stairs. Location is great, in downtown but away from the noise. Check out the rooftop, nice views.

Very Good experience stayed in 4 Boys Guesthouse. If you have morning meal are not guesthouse. Go out guesthouse walk by foot around 2-3min. Are there have one restaurant support about morning meal. taste good and very kind cook for you.

central, clean, great staff”
right in the middle of the backpacker area but surprisingly VERY quiet at night. the quietest hotel we tried in HCMC and we've been here nearly a month trying quite a few. Staff very friendly and perfect english. Owner is Vietnamese-Canadian and very nice. Would have stayed here longer if we would've known how good it was. Definitely recommend it. Lots of restaurants nearby, but a little expensive since in the tourist area. Excellent price for hotel and what you get. VERY clean.

Great stay, one of the highlights of our trip so far. The rooms are spacious and clean, staff always on hand and willing to help. Gives you a great base to get out and investigate the many attractions the city has to offer. You won't regret staying here!

Great staff & location, but a few drawbacks”
The price & location were super, and Harry and the rest of the staff were very, very nice and helpful. Laundry was cheap and quick, and drinks in the cooler downstairs were a great price. A couple drawbacks: you can hear the music pumping from the next street over until after 1 AM some nights, and all of the bathrooms on one side of the building share a common central venting column, so you can hear everything that everyone is doing in the bathroom (including yelling to their roommate).

Excellent. Tony and Harry made my stay very comfortable. They showed me the best pho and coffee in the area and organized all my tours and the taxi back to the airport with ease. Room was large and bed was comfortable. Made my stay very hospitable and felt very comfortable knowing they were looking after me.

not just for boys!”
we didn't think a thing until we were walking up and wondering as two American girls, "will we be the only women?" nope. couples. men, women, everybody. super inclusive, great family taking care of you. stiff beds like the best of asia. hot showers, cheap beer back packer strip. great cheap food outside either end of the alley and a cute little lady in pajamas next door that will stand with you while you drunkenly eat your dollar noodle/omelette at two am to protect you from purse snatchers (real fear! be ware!) great stay!

only good thing is location, staff not very helpfull or friendly, they see this place as a money machine by passing through tourists. The other annoying thing was that every time one left the room, the fuses were switched off, so if one came back and no one was at reception there was no electricity in the room as the main fuse had to be switched on

4 Boys Hotel (FOR EVERYBODY)”
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Harry took very good care of us during our stay by helping us map out our sightseeing tour (which was done entirely on foot). Location is excellent as it is just 50-100 meters away from Pham Ngu Lao while being completely isolated from the noise of the area. Highly recommended for younger travelers.

Bad service”
First, the room given to us didn't look like the one in the picture. Second, no toothbrush, toothpaste . Third, AC is controlled by the hotel so when they forget to turn on, lots of stairs to climb down and up for the fifth floor. Fourth, dont ask to call taxi to airport for you, by 20% (should take you 140k, not 170k). Fifth, it's like because we're only stayed for one night, the service went down by a lot of notches. Staff didn't feel friendly. Even with the cheap price, we felt it didn't worth it.

Vanilla”
It's a pretty vanilla hotel, nothing sticks out good or bad, which is probably a good thing. No tour buying hassle and a quiet location in a busy part of town. Your stay will be as quiet as your neighbors. Due to the design you do hear everything from your neighbors, even with the bathroom door closed.

Cheap yet friendly staff”
It's peaceful and quiet inside. Not infront of the famous pham ngu lao st (backpackers st) but very much walking distance. Auntie is very friendly =). Ideal for just a few nights of stay

I booked by agoda, but the staff said my booking sent to booking.com. I knew this, when they asked me to pay before left the hostel, I thought i have paid by credit card. But in polite way, the staff asked me to checked my balance/history of my credit card, and it's true i didn't pay yet, so I should pay by cash that time. Maybe agoda should check how it can be happened, because the staff said it happened several times with his guests. I promised to coming back to this hostel before my departure to Kuala Lumpur, but I didn't do that because I was mixed up with my itinerary and was in hurry to get my flight.
