A great hotel at a bargain price”
I lived in Mukdahan for a year in 1969. I was in the U.S. Air Force and there was a radar site in Mukdahan. After waiting 44 years to return choosing this hotel was a great decision. A perfect location at a great price with a wonderful staff. My wife is Thai so an English speaking staff was not a requirement but some of the staff had decent English language skills. The best way to judge a hotel is how they handle problems. The second night a tour group checked in and had a party on the 6th floor right above our 5th floor room. I talked to the night manager and when he heard the noise he offered us another room on the second floor. He made the transition between rooms painless and gave us a bigger more expensive room at no charge. My wife fell in love with Mukdahan and wants to visit again on our next trip to Thailand and she said we will always stay at the Ricerfront Hotel. The breakfast was buffet was wonderful. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but great riverfront restaurants are a short walk away.

Always great”
The Riverfront Hotel is an absolutely great place to stay while in Mukdahan. The staff are always great even with my lack of Thai. The room is also great with a lovely balcony overlooking the Mekong just across the street. The breakfast is good with a variety of foods. This is the only place I will stay on my visits to Mukdahan even though I haven't tried other hotels in the city. It is just hard to beat great service once you experience it with the friendly staff... Will stay again soon. Ralph

Good location, not expensive, and ok breakfast. ”
This hotel is at the Indochina market in Mukdahan, so it's located in the heart of Mukdahan. They have good parking facilities, and you can leave your car at the hotel, while youy go a trip to Laos for a few days, they will change you 100 bath per day fro parking, while you are not staying at the hotel. The room was clean, internet is good, breakfast is good, both thai and international, I paied 800 bth for the room, which I think is value for money, I have stay there many times and will stay there again on my next trip to Mukdahan.

As usual”
This is my fourth trip to Mukdahan and I was very fortunate to make my first stay at Riverfront. I continue to use this fine hotel since then. The staff are always excellent to deal with. Housekeeping is above and beyond and the breakfast has gotten better now with made to order eggs if you desire. The staff for the breakfast meal is kind, courteous and a very happy group that seem to love serving the guests. I will be returning in the next few months as usual and this will be my only hotel... Thanks to all... Ralph

Always a pleasure”
Every year I have to go to Savannakhet to renew my Thai visa and this always requires me to stay two nights in Mukdahan. For three years now I have stayed at the Riverfront and have no reason to change this habit. The facilities are standard for the price, or a little better, the staff are friendly. Breakfast is good and served in the rooftop restaurant with a splendid view of the sun rising over the Mekong. There are a few restaurants within 5 - 10 minutes walk. The hotel is opposite the unique subterranean Indochina market with its many bargains, and has the bonus of being the last/first stop of the Air Asia minibus link to Nakhom Phanom airport.

Lovely View”
I stayed here a couple of times in late July 2016 and both times were in a room with river view. The rooms were clean, everything worked and the furnishings were nice. The view of the river can't be beat. Like pretty much all hotels these days, rooms are non-smoking but an ashtray is provided for balcony smokers. Wifi in rooms was okay and it's worth mentioning that they have a browser-based wifi login so it will connect automatically without password - but to actually use it you have to open a browser and log in. There are some English language TV channels (I found SyFy and Universal) but you may have to channel surf to find them because the channel menu card is not very accurate. Breakfast was pretty much the same as breakfast at any Asian hotel of this class (somewhat limited mix of Asian/Western) but anyone who has spent any time in hotels like this knows how to make that work. I was the only one at the buffet one day, so I REALLY made it work. Not much going on around the hotel at night (although the street is very busy with the Indochina Market during the day) so finding a restaurant will need a bit of a walk. If you are in the mood for a beer and some Western food in the evening 'Friends Bar' (look them up on Facebook) is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also an AirAsia fly-and-ride pickup/drop-off point. All in all, an enjoyable stay and I plan to stay here every future visit to Mukdahan.

I love the Riverfront Hotel”
My Thai wife and I stayed here two years ago and this time brought her family including her daughter, her daughter's husband and her 5 year old granddaughter. We booked two rooms at the front with big balconies overlooking the Mekong. I took some great photos of the sunrise over the Mekong and Laos. Enjoyed watching the people below from our fourth floor balcony. The covered free parking is great. With the Indochina market right outside the front door and a quick somloe ride to the night market or you can walk to it if you want some extra exercise you will not run out of places to shop. The breakfast buffet is not gourmet but it is filling and the view from the sixth floor where you eat is wonderful. You see the entire city, the Mukdahan tower and even the new big buddha they are building on the mountain south of town. We look forward to visiting Mukdadah again in the future.

Good location at a fair price”
Forced to stay in Mukdahan, however found this hotel to be adaquate with great location overlooking the mighty Mekong river, the rooms are spacious and the breakfast was ok, let's face it you're not gonna get English sausages and bacon in this neck of the woods. The rate we booked with agoda was cheaper than the direct price, also the indo-china market which is located immediately outside the hotel is not much cop, don't forget you also have the market situated under the concourse. Overall good location at a fair price.

Perfect spot for lazing in Muk a few days”
I'm a repeat-stayer at the Riverfront, a welcoming place with a friendly family run atmosphere. Just across the street from the Mekong (unusual for Mukdahan hotels compared to other riverside spots such as Nong Khai). Just upstream from the hotel is Indochina market, while downstream there are a few quiet riverside restaurants. Decent breakfast, plus the hotel has the advantage of being the stop for the AirAsia transfer if flying to/from Don Meuang via Nakhon.

Exceptional”
The Riverfront Hotel was in a great location, right on the Mekong River, markets and restaurants in walking distance, nice breakfast and friendly staff, we will be staying there again on our next trip to Mukdahan.

Trying times”
The hotel was very clean and all accommodations were there. The new staff was not fluent even aa little in English so we had difficulty in getting into my paid for reservation. Breakfast was not mentioned this time as available however, I saw there was a breakfast accommodation, but the language barrier caused me to believe that there were no breakfast meals available. Having stocked up for the lack of what I thought was no breakfast available because of the Covid 19 precautions, I survived quite well. Again, even with the slight variations in the normal great service, I will always return to my favorite hotel in Mukdahan..

Regional Thailand”
Mukdahan is an interesting regional area. Overloking the Mekon and close to the Indochina market with a few western type bars a few days here can easily be filled. Cheaper than Bangkok you can get there either by a long bus trip or fly to Ubon and arrange private transfer. Generally quiet of an eveni g but there are tuc tucs available and an open air night food area with different stalls inc western and Italian food - changbeer 7 5 bhts. Dont expect to get wine here. The Riverfront is a nice hotel in Thai style and in a great location. No bar but a coffee shop during day. Seven eleven not far away

location, location, location”
This is my second stay at the Riverside, the first time in 2012 when it first opened. It hasn't changed, big clean rooms, the rooms overlooking the river are a must, for a sundowner. The breakfast is very Asian orientated, with only cold fried eggs, frankfurters or cereals as a choise. The staff are very friendly and efficient but have limited english, the lady owner is fluent. The ambience of the Asiann market on and below the waterfront promenard makes a visit to Mukdahan, even a short one on the way to Laos.

Returning soon”
The hotel is excellent for a nice visit to Mukdahan. My wife was visiting her teacher for three days and this was my first visit. Their was the celebration in progress and the carnival moises and bands were going on umtil midnight however after learning to navigate to places and returning I had a very pleasant 3 days to read, relax and enjoy the events and beauty of the river setting. Will be returning soon.

Try out”
We are locals to Mukdahan Province. We have tried a few hotels in Mukdahan, This is more a boutique hotel, the rooms are large with all the basics, limited to one serve each of 3 in 1 coffee in the room. small bar fridge with average stock. 2 water bottles provided free. The bed was comfortable considering most small hotels tend to cater for Thais with a rock bed. Shower was a bit disappointing as it was the old style curtain which was a bit small and restricting, however it was adequate. Room was clean except for bathroom, the cleaner didn't do a good job and we had to get her in the redo the bathroom. The other room we booked for friends was fine. We booked the superior rooms as you get a balcony view of the Mekong. The hotel is right in the heart of the Indo China markets which is good for shopping and food. The room came with Breakfast included, it was OK but nothing to rave about, limited western style food, however you do get to sit and look out over the Mekong river and city from the dining room. The hotel does have lifts and carpark. There is no coffee shop as yet still being built. Would I go back again? YES.

A great surprise”
This was our 3rd trip to Mukdahan. We have stayed at 2 other very good hotels but found The Riverfront to be a pleasant surprise. We arrived 2 days late having originally booked and paid for 5 nights. The owners offered us 2extra nights free of charge,a lovely gesture. Will stay at the Riverfront on future trips.

Great as always”
This hotel and their staff are consistently great. I am now a more frequent visitor to Mukdahan when my wife has activities nearby. Those visits are becoming more frequent and this is the only hotel that I will stsy at as long as they have vacancies. Thank you very much for taking good care of me...

One of my favourite hotels in Thailand”
I simply love the place and I have been there several times. Wouldn’t even consider another place in Mukdahan. Have wonderful wooden finishings interiors. Best view of the Mekong. Best breakfast. Best location. The only issue I have is with the WiFi, had repeated troubles in connecting. Highly recommended.
