Generally speaking: too expensive Good hospitality Many different facilities Special and interesting style room Quite bad food, restaurant look like a college canteen Long distance from car park A number of facilities are not included in room rate 元氣之森 (kids outdoor playground) just no surprise I booked using AGODA, the tel# on booking form is incorrect!! I use tel# in car GPS, but it directed me to a location 12km away from ASO Farm... I dunno if it is the problem of tel# or car GPS database.

i like the hot spring, large space, many different kind of spring. also, a lot of facilities for kids. environment is prefect but the rooms is old and out-dated. Don't expect the food too.

Love the hot spring with different type of spring water choices, open are is super comfort, the room facility little bit old fashion, can be more modern.... Also, need to park the car then bring yr own languages check in, this is really not convenient especially when you bring kids or elder people, it's around 5 minutes walk to check in, then another 5-10 minutes go to yr room depends on the area to stay in.

it is like ghost town, although there are lots of activities. The zoo part doesn't have so many animals. Bathroom in the room is so cold. Water temperature control in the bathroom is so bad. The facility in the room is not good for young kid who likes to grasp everything. we are tired of watching young kids since they can access everything in the room.

The farm land is beautiful and the hot spot area and the play ground are so big, which was value for money. However, the food is required to improve, which only consists of lots of kids' meal.

Interesting place”
Price was good, given that it includes accommodation, breakfast, dinner, and activities. Onsen was fabulous, lots of different pools to dip in. Fun to hang out with the animals at the petting zoo! The dome room was a bit dirty but acceptable. We arrived in the evening and the surrounding roads were DARK... we missed the carpark entrance several times, so try to arrive during the day. The rain dampened the mood a bit, so next time we hope to have some sun!

Good overall experience and very helpful staff”
The overall experience staying with this hotel is good given all the other facilities such as playgrounds and hot spring (hot spring is great). Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Food is alright but rooms are a bit dated. Overall good for family with kids.

Really very nice place. Far away from the city where you can relax and see the nature scenery. Buffet dinner and breakfast is so fresh too. P.S. If you use the phone in the booking voucher for GPS, you may get lost lol

Good view, good food, good staff”
Even though some of the facilities are pretty "old school," but it's still good enough to spend a weekend here with kids. Especially their restaurant, it's not like other buffet restaurants in Japan. They served some nice food which are hard to be seen in Japan, like lychees. And the hot spring is awesome! The outdoor one is the best one I've seen in Japan.

Not a family friendly Place at all”
It's totally not a family place at all. The signage of carpark is a bit difficult to see in bad weather. You know what? We walked over 10-15 minutes from the carpark to get to the reception area for check-in. There is no way you can drive your car straight to your apartment. All my lugguage was still in the car as we are carrying our baby to check-in. It end up take me twice time to move all our luggage from the carpark to our apartment for over 40 minutes in total, what a disaster experience. The design of all the walkway is brick; making the walkway very slippery after raining (not to mention they copy the design from Antoni Gaudi). My wife got a wrong foot and a pretty bad cut on her knee on the last day. We requested to drive our car to the apartment directly, so we can unload our lugguage to our car and my wife can skip the long walk. The Staff REFUSED !!! and keeping saying it's their hotel policy. Jesus! A customer got hurt in your premise and you do not any sincere help!

Interesting, but once was enough”
I was mostly interested in seeing the styrofoam houses up close, and I enjoyed that. I'm not that much into hot springs, but you get lots of value there. Also, the play areas are just not to my taste. The surrounding area and the mountain air was wonderful, but the artificial playground structures were not attractive to me.

Access by driving from Kumamoto was more difficult due to road closures post 2016 earthquake. Identifying the carpark to the resort was a little confusing. Due to the size of the place, reception was a short distance from the carpark. Shuttle bus to the rooms and restaurant was a bit of a hassle. May not be ideal for families with older folks and/or babies

Snowing when I stayed there and the view is stunning. The onsen is great. I went to animal kingdom, there's lots of fun. And even you can pick the stawberry just beside the car park.
