Lovely Bed and Breakfast, great service”
we stayed 1 week in Banyan House Bed and Breakfast, The management was very welcoming and accomodating. The room was simple and well decorated. The location is very convenient if you have a scooter as you escape the crowd from Chaweng and you are still very close 5-10 min from the action.

Homely Place”
This is a homely place with a very nice garden and a cafe right at the lawn. The owners are friendly and gave us some tips on getting around, but we never planned to go anywhere anyway. The location of this b&b isn't the best, so if you are looking for a place near the beach or shops this isn't the place for you. We were on a lay over from Koh Phangan and was to be at the airport early the next morning, so the location near thr airport was our consideration. We just spent our time lazying around the compound. The coffee and cake were good, so was lunch. There is access to the beach through the hotel across the road, but it isn't the sandy type. You can easily flag a pickup taxi (sharing) from the road to town. Oh, they have a few lovely dogs. my wife and I enjoyed our stay there.

Feel like home”
It just feel like stay at home. White clean room, simple, vintage, quiet can described this place. The share space area is very clean & simple with contemporary & Buddhist decorate. nice small garden with the big tree, quiet place good for lie down with a book. also have the lovely small coffee shop at the front. one of my favourite, will be back again if have a chance. because of it not like the hotel, you will get the 3 keys incase you come back late night (the front door key, the house key and the room key), you can park the car inside the house area.

I am very satisfied with my 5 nights stay here. the environment is very western style and operate by a british gentleman. Surrounding is clean and quiet. the room and bath room is spacey and clean. the mattress change every 2 days. the decoration in the house is just nice, not too much, and most of them are antique.

Nice garden, but rooms already needs attention. ”
I stayed here with my girlfriend. The house is located near road up on the small hill and you need motorcycle or to use public/private transport to get to the beach. I can imagine a walk there, but that would take at least 15-20 minutes and you have to cross some big beachfront resorts. The hotel is clean, but rooms are a little used already. TV is old, but plays, bathroom needs more attention, as there are already breaks and holes in ceiling in the room no1. Bed sheets were also not newest, I found a sign of some blemish on my pillow... The windows leak a little, so if you stay in room 1 oriented to the road - be sure you will hear all passing by cars & motorcycles (fortunately it is not the busiest road on island...) The breakfast are nice, but the second day the fruits in yoghurt were far from fresh, extra ordered cake was not fresh either! and they serve you only one small glass of instant orange wannabe juice and forget about fresh water... Which is kind of odd. I know - this accommodation is low budget one, but common - a glass of water would not kill your business. The location is another downside of this beautiful old style house. Forget about walk somewhere - you need motorcycle to overnight here. The nicest beach near - Choeng Mon beach is about 10 min relaxed drive. The owners of resort - thai man and his french partner are really nice and helpful hosts and I am sure - with a small attention to the details and after slight renovation of bathroom, the stay in this special house would be more pleasant.

My partner and I LOVE this place so much and wish we could stay longer. Nice garden with lots of fragrant pink flowers and greens. The host provided us many useful information about pricing of motorbike renting and scenic spots to visit. The room itself is very cozy with nice decoration. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

Cosy, quiet B&B away ten minutes from Chaweng.”
My taxi driver had trouble making his way to this B&B - it is a newer establishment off the beaten path - but once we arrived I was pleased to find the place clean, quiet, and comfortable. I recommend this B&B to couples or individuals looking for a relaxed stay in Koh Samui. One criticism: the owner offered to drive me to the airport when I flew out, which was kind of him, but he charged me 500B for the 5-minute ride. I felt really ripped off - and by a Westerner!

Disenchanted from arrival”
The power cut when I arrived and I wasn't given an apology for the inconvenience, a glass of water, a flashlight, wasn't shown to a waiting area in the dark and wasn't even helped with bags despite stating I had had one hour's sleep in transit to Ko Samui. Charmed. I was left without a word. The owner seems completely unaware of himself and never once apologised or considered having created an undesirable atmosphere. I changed accommodation and was much happier for it. I could describe more drawbacks about the one night stay here, but it would be a waste of time. Essentially, the owner has no manners and was of no help when I was meant to be picked up by a shuttle that had to come 3 times before I was alerted to it. No sense of customer service, shouldn't be working in hospitality.

We had a wonderful time here, Tak and Michael looked after us so well, it was like a home away from home. Restful gardens and only a 10/15 minute walk to the beach. Food was excellent, the room was spacious and comfortable and the basset hounds the extra pleasure. We will be back

We were ther in february 2015. I like the friendly staff and well maintained garden. Unfortunately, the house was under the trees and because our room was damp and smelled of mildew.Nearby was the beach and the city. The most friendliest people working there.

The place is very quiet, tastefully decorated and the owner is very nice. I wasn’t that happy about the area but it depends what you’re looking for. If you have a scooter it’s nit a problem at all. Just not walkable. Very good value for money. I’d definitely stay there again just rent a scooter .

This area is very popular for private villas and houses as it quiet and easy accessible to down town chaweng or chongmon village and samui airport. There public transportation running right outside the property to take you any where on the island. We, opposite restaurants and beaches. Regards Tok

Banyan get away”
Private location without a pool but perfectly situated across from one of the nicest resorts on the island. Walk across the street to enjoy high end luxury pool accommodation. A motorbike is needed to get around but the culture is not very far. Main Beach is less than 10 mins and fisherman's market is under 20mins!

not much to say about this guesthouse. it is a bit far from everything so you will need to hire a scooter or something. we move after two days on a hotel on the beach, it was not much expensive and we had a much better experience there
