A really beautiful hotel with comfortable room.”
I stayed here with my partner while on a holiday to visit a friend working in Cambodia. The cab driver initially had difficulty finding the hotel as the entrance was nondescript and very subtle. However upon locating the hotel, man were we impressed. The lobby was spacious, modern-chic and very inviting. Immediately the hustle of tuk tuks outside the hotel simply melted away and we were transported into a Balinese themed paradise. Check-in was smooth and fast. Room was well-done up and very spacious. Bed was big and comfortable. The air-con was really good as well. I really loved how the room was designed with the very big wardrobe to tuck away all our bags and clothes out of sight. The shower room was of the "wet-style" where there are no shower curtains and the shower room is meant to be wet when you shower. The rain-shower head was ENORMOUS! And hot-water wasn't a problem. The Hotel is quiet, peaceful and pleasant. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Blue Tongue. To my good friend's chagrin, the rooms had no individual telephones, so he had to call the reception desk and i had to come down to pick up the call. Breakfast was EXCELLENT. The Mushroom Baguette was a real Thumbs up. Pity we didn't get to eat the breakfast for the remaining days we were there as we were often too tired or hung-over to wake up :) Staffs were friendly and helpful too! A real good value for money hotel! Oh and it is within 5 minutes walking distance from the best club in Phnom Penh, which is St. Tropez (To the delight of my partner and friend) and midnight hunger pangs (Also to the delight of my partner and I) are no biggie as there are smatterings of 24 hour convenience stores around the area. Check out was smooth, fuss-free and the hotel employs a tuk-tuk. He charges a little higher than the rest, but a little bargaining won't hurt :)

Fantastic experience!!”
My wife and stayed at Blue Tongue hotel for 2 nights and we have to say this has been one of our top experiences of our trip so far. The room was clean, service from the staff was always done with a smile. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, simple but good! All in all, we rate this hotel top notch, for its location and value for the price! I will come back when we visit Phnom penh again.

Great location and friendly helpful staff”
our experience with the blue tongue hotel was pleasant and easy. i emailed the hotel and within 30 minutes i got an email from them! the paid taxi service from the airport was good, beds were comfortable, toilet/shower was clean, near the royak palace/museum etc (though you'd have to have good sense of direction or you'd get lost in phnom penh). the staff helped us out with bus service to siem reap, and overall we really enjoyed the stay, recommended!

Blissful Time at Blue Tongue Hotel”
The hotel was more than I ever expected at the price paid. The rooms were similar to a 5 star hotel's with good food (breakfast) and staff service. Location was just perfect. We really enjoyed our trip to Cambodia. I'll highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Phnom Penh. Kudos Blue Tongue Hotel!!!

Nice and Clean room and good service hotel”
The location of the hotel is good and the hotel rooms are not small. Hotel has a nice lobby and good food and drinks with a kindly service. Walking distance to many big restaurants and bars. Blue Tongue Hotel in Phnom Penh is a really pleasant and safe hotel to stay when I was in Canbodia.

Great Shower and Location”
I have stayed at the Blue Tongue now twice in the last month and have been impressed both times with the level service at this boutique hotel. The staff are helpfull the rooms and clean, well maintained and modern. The shower in the bathroom is fantastic and just what you need to wash off the dust and grime of a day in phnom penh.

Great location but lacks basics”
the blue tongue hotel is worth staying at. the location is excellent and the rooms are nice. however, the filipino staff are clueless about phnom penh and can offer no assistance. the breakfast is a joke and it's almost worth it to go next door for a full breakfast for a couple bucks. also there is no water boiler in the room so my wife had to go downstairs to get water. i wasn't traveling with my alarm and there was no phone in the room so was unable to get a wake up call. in conclusion, it's worth staying at the blue tongue but be prepared for some inconveniences.

"Great location but small rooms"”
My wife and I live in United States but we made our hotel reservation in Phnom Penh over the internet. We weren't at all sure what to expect when we arrived at the hotel. We were greeted with friendly smiles a welcome drink. They receptionist quickly pulled our hotel voucher and we were quickly lead to our room it was small, yet very cozy. To our surprise, the room was nicely decorated, sufficiently Feng Shui'd and it also had a beautiful view of the city and the river 3 stories below. Because it was a superior room we got "VIP" treatment, which meant that check-in was taken care of on the first floor in the lounge, where drinks were also served. There were two computers connected to the internet in the lounge (as well as a broadband connection in the room). Every morning we had our breakfast there (included) and every evening from 5:30PM-7:00 we had "Happy Hour." The double bed was very comfortable. The shower and the bathtub were separate in a rather large bathroom. The "living room" had a couch, a refrigerator and a separate little niche with a desk in it.

Great Aussie Hotel with Lovely Khmer Service”
We stayed here for two nights initially and then decided to keep returning here for a 'base' whenever we came to Phnom Penh. The staff are always on hand and as helpful as possible, or get more help if they're not sure. The rooms and decor are fantastic - the rival of any modern hotel in Australia, which is quite unusual to find in Phnom Penh. A decent cafe (although you are not far from the main eateries and bars) and a short - but not TOO short - walk to the touristy/sightseeing or even main commercial areas mean this hotel really has a lot going for it. If you're not sure if it's worth the extra few dollars over the others in its class: it totally is!

nice design hotel”
Phnom Penh is a great place, and Blue Tongue Hotel is a very nice hotel. The location makes it good, nevertheless you need tuk-tuks to come to the sights of Phnom Penh. The room was quite big, the window was very small, but as we were there for New Year's Eve, it really didn't matter. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was good! We would come back to Blue Tongue Hotel any time again!

Stylish, clean and modern hotel”
stylish and comfortable room, nice size, very clean and modern furnishings although no drawers or chairs in the superior room, just a wardrobe, 1 side table, tv, fridge and the bed. hotel staff very friendly and a good level of english spoken by most, also a good location for bars, clubs and restaurants and the central market, some of the noise from the bars can be heard in the rooms but you get used to this after the first day. dinner in the hotel restaurant was lovely, breakfast is only 1 choice from a menu and then payment for extras which can be expensive the way it is done here - our only complaint. the 4th hotel we used in phnom penh and definitely the nicest.

Beautiful and Large Hotel in a Great Location!”
We stayed in a triple room at the Blue Tongue Hotel and were more than pleasantly surprised by the room. It was spacious and clean and probably the favourite of our entire trip. The staff spoke little English but were still very friendly and acomodating. Breakfast in the morning was great in a nice dining area in the front. Location-wise, the hotel was within a short walk to the river where there were tons of restaurants and bars as well as the royal palace. I highly recommend this hotel!

can't say enough about the blue tongue hotel. everything was pleasant. i loved the staff. they were so helpful. rooms were well appointed and bed was extremely comfortable. location was excellent for me. in the heart of plenty of restaurants, internet cafes, spas...etc. only a 15-20min walk to riverfront. blue tongue serves great dinner. favorite restaurants included romdaeng...2 min walk, and la marmite.

Good value for money...”
for me, finding a great hotel in phnom penh that fits a traveler's budget pretty well is quite hard. thanks to tripadvisor, i found this great gem. situated in the not-so-busy part of the city, the hotel is very near to a highly recommended restaurant that serves authentic khmer goodness, the romdeng restaurant. one can walk your way to the orussey market. our standard room, which i booked through agoda is clean and spacious. the accommodation includes a free plated breakfast for two (2). another great thing is that the supervisors of this hotel are filipinos -- so the language barrier factor is eliminated.

Excellent hotel -Service, the room -all immaculate”
Our stay at Blue Tongue was fantastic on all counts. The hotel is clearly new and has very large, elegantly-furnished rooms. The beds are king size with fantastic sheets and quilts (a rarity in SE Asia!). The bathroom is huge and again, very modern. The overall impression of the room is a 4-star hotel. The staff went out of their way to organise transfers to Vietnam on our behalf, and the hotel restaurant serves up tasty food for a reasonable price. All round, a great hotel in a solid location.

Very good rooms, staff and location”
This was our second stay at Blue Tongue (last stayed 2010) and the room and staff were just as good as last time. Will stay again on our next visit to Phnom Penh.

Excellent hotel”
I have stayed in many hotels in Phnom Penh, and consider this hotel to be the best value for money. All the staff were pleasant and friendly and helpful,, and the rooms are of good quality for a very reasonable price. The main drawback is the lack of any large windows, except in the deluxe balcony rooms, and safety boxes in rooms would be a good additional feature.

Great hotel located away from the Riverfront”
We loved this place so much we went back a second time when we were back in Phnom Penh. Everything was great about this hotel - very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast ( try the fruit shake! ), really does have the best shower, located away from the craziness of the riverfront and modern design. Would be the only place we would stay in Phnom Penh from now on.

Clean and Modern hotel with only one downside”
We enjoyed our stay in the Blue Tongue Hotel, I found it good value for money and was not disappointed by the room or the service. I would recommend it to anyone with one caveat: Although the hotel specifies no unregistered guests we did see quite a steady stream of middle aged western men coming into the hotel with some local ladies. This may be because of the location near the walkabout hotel which seemed to be a hotbed of that sort of thing. There was no lewd or inappropriate behaviour in shared areas.

Great value, super friendly staff, good location”
this is a reasonably priced hotel in centre of phnom penh. the filipino and cambodian staff make a great team who took care of us really well. it's a basic hotel with air con, hot water, clean, comfortable bed, cable tv and fridge. breakfast was ok, maybe could choose two options instead of one. location is central, although a few seedy bars nearby.
