A Hidden Gem, Best Hostel Ever!”
I may not be as well travelled as other people, but I have rented more than a dozen hostels from more than a dozen countries, and none of them comes close to the experience I had with Capsule Hotel Hakodate. From Sydney, to Bangkok, to Taipei, this is hands down the best hostel I have ever stayed in. - Great location! Just a stone’s throw away from the Street Car station! - Friendly staff! No hassle in conversations. - Has a 100 yen store in the lobby for almost all your immediate food needs! Comes with free teas and water too! - Very clean and orderly!!! Bathroom stalls are spacious, and toiletries are given for free, and there are plenty! They even use Shisheido for their Shampoos, Body Wash, and Conditioners. - Free to use towels and sleepwear! Very convenient! Hakodate is a great city, one of the best I have been to in Japan. Your stay will be much sweeter if you choose this hostel! -

Excellent Choice for Hakodate”
Highly recommended. The staff spoke good enough English, which turned out to be crucial for me when I discovered I left my wallet/passport in my previous destination! They helped me contact the previous hotel and get my things shipped to Hakodate, and it was there the next morning before 9am when I headed out. The facilities were really large, quiet, and extremely clean. Free toiletries and pajamas, spacious lockers. They had lots of travel recs and even a map where travelers could leave recs for the places they were from. Capsules even had air circulator systems, though the curtains were see-through. I ended up hanging my towel to help with that. Wi-Fi was excellent as well. Location is pretty good, but not perfect. I walked from Hakodate station in about 15-20 minutes, but there was a light rail station literally right outside the hotel. It's in the opposite direction from Hakodate station of the morning market, brick building district, etc., but not too bad.

if you come to hakodate, i really highly recommended this one. From hakodate station, take tram hakodate ekimae to shinkawacho ( just few step to hotel). If you want to spent your money, walking distance around 12 minutes. Attraction places such as hakodate morning market and Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, you can choose whether you walk around 15 minutes to 20 minutes from hotel or just take tram. Back to hotel, first time i stayed with superb convenience capsule. They provide pyjamas, free towel everyday and rent bicycle for free. As a muslim woman, i feel free because male dorm separate floor from female dorm.

Great facilities and amenities. It was snowing when I got to Hakodate and the ropeway to Hakodate mountain was suspended, so I figured I'll rest at the hotel even if it's not check in time yet. I could check in 1 hour before check in time and my room was upgraded to capsule single. The staff was really friendly. The shower room, although shared, the amenities were complete and great. The only minus is the location, pretty far from Hakodate station but you can easily get on a streetcar to this hotel. Very recommended to stay in Hakodate!

Wow.... for the price and amenities you get this is the best capsule I have tried! And they even give me bigger room for free! There's free flow ocha and water 24h. Also there's a store sells Pet bottle drink and food for 100yen/items! Location is near of the trams station about 100mtr and 500mtr from the Hakodate JR station The room is the most spacious capsule I've tried! And even there's a heater inside the room. Bath room, towel & toilet 24h. All the staff is very very friendly! Highly recommended!

Very near to Tram Station, Cheap and Plentiful Choices of Ready to Eat Food”
The hotel is located just right next to a Tram Station which makes it well connected and within easy reach to every major attraction in Hakodate. Staff was very helpful and attentive. The common area is very large and spacious with plenty of Japanese snacks and food that you can buy for 100 yen. Remember to keep all your personal items in the lockers provided and not leave it inside your capsule as we had a minor incident whereby we left our phone charger inside the capsule and it was kept by the cleaning staff at the reception counter which we had to search and ask for.

The hotel is nearby Shinkawa-cho that is easy to move your heavy luggages. :)Also the facility is modern and clean. It makes you get relaxed. I am 100% satisfied with Capsule Hotel Hakodate. I especially recommend this hotel to friends-traveler.

The hotel is clean and comfortable! It is awesome as their provide anything what you need during your trip. Example, shampoo, hair conditional, shower gel, facial soap gel, moisturation, lotion, comb, toothbrush with toothpaste, hair dryer, pyjamas and etc. You can borrow their bicycle for free too. Besides, you can borrow their cable for charging your phone, snacks with cheaper price (100 JPY). Their staffs always serves you with smile. :) I shall definitely go back to this hotel if I go Hakodate again. :D

Very clean, efficiently run capsule hotel. Two tram stops away from Hakodate Station, it’s not in fancy neighborhood, but convient to all the sights by public transportation. Great / super if on a budget!

The staff were wonderful. They gave me a free upgrade to a private capsule room. The lounge is a great way to relax and they sell all kinds of snacks at regular prices. Best of all, they provide bijes to use for free and Hakodate is an easy city to bike around.

I came very late to the hotel after some sightseeing and was very hungry. One of the staff (Kamisanga, I hope I remembered her name right) recommended a take out sushi delivered to the hotel within 10 minutes by a nearby restaurant. Needless to say it was delicious. Thank you! Pros: Super friendly staff. Very clean hotel. Facilities are up-to-date and looks new. About 20min walk from Hakodate station. Tram stops right in front of the hotel. Huge common area with piano, guitar, tea and hot water dispensers. Snack and drinks sells for 100 yen only. I'm not 100% sure but I think you can rent a bicycle from the them. Cons: None

A very good Capsule Hotel in Hakkodate! ”
This capsule hotel was exactly what I needed when I stayed in Hakkodate. The staff was very welcoming and the bottom bunk half room that I booked was the perfect size for one person for the night. They price was amazing too! I highly recommend this place to anyone trying to find an inexpensive place right next to the street car line right in downtown Hakkodate!

They have very nice staffs, I can see that they're working happily. Location is very good, exactly in front of tram station that only 2 stations from Hakodate main station. Amenities are complete, even they gave me some gifts, the place is very clean. I'm very very recommend this place if you visit Hakodate. Too bad I only stay for one night. The hotel was perfect, the city was nice. Sure I'll stay again next time.

Clean. Staffs speak English and friendly. Walking distance to Hakodate Train Station/Hakodate Morning Market, if you don't want to walk, streetcar station is in front of the hotel. A less known local market, Jiyu Market(自由市場) is just across the street, even more convenient than the well known morning market.

Was upgraded to a private capsule upon check in, the staff were so nice to me. They sold snacks and drinks in the lobby if you didn't want to go the combini down the road. This was my first experience in a capsule hotel and it was amazing, the facilities were clean and provided everything including towels, pyjamas, razors, and all the toiletries. Stayed here for my 1 night in Hakodate. Place is just right next to a tram stop which is ideal for getting around. The room was clean and they had basic amenities (comb, toothbrush with toothpaste, shaver, etc) and even had free pajamas for use. No restaurant nearby but the 100 yen snacks and drinks in the common area was great. Will recommend this for anyone visiting Hakodate

Location is good, streetcar and bus infront of hotel. Rooms and shared bathroom were very clean. Provide snacks, drinks, cup noodles, etc at 100yen each , so convenient especially when in winter cold nights. Staff very helpful. Will stay here again if in Hakodate.

The shampoos' range from Tsubaki to Shiseido as well as other Japanese brands, allows one to self-pamper after a full day of touring. Pyjamas and ear plugs for guests' use (for free) are also available. Staff are friendly and helpful. So, for a good night's rest in Hakodate, choose this hotel!
