“Not comfortable unless no choice”
Reasons why I honestly can't recommend their 4-bed dormitory room (honest and unbiased): 1. Noisy and inconsistent cooling of the airconditioner 2. No curtains for each bunk bed thus lack of privacy 3. No electric outlet in the upper parts of the bunk bed for those who didn't have a long wired charger or extension cord 4. No changing of bed sheets, towels and pillow cases as I observed with different guests almost daily. 5. The balcony part has no border as it connects to multiple rooms thus vulnerable for anyone who can just come in and take some items if the door balcony is not locked. 6. Only one shared bathroom for all guests occupying the dorm rooms. It has slow running water (needs to lower down the shower just to fill up the big drum) and flush malfunction of the toilet. The shared bathroom also has 2 doors which one is in the alley and the other connects to the big dorm room, so that concerns like if I lock one door, someone else that if I lock, the other door can enter without warning (which that lock from the big dorm room is on the other side of that door) 7. Difficult area to book Grab, Angkas, etc., for those with a lot of luggage and must walk and need to ride a traditional jeepney going to and from the city. The only positives I have are their friendly staff, personal locker for each guest (but need to bring our own lock), free use of their lobby and an occasional free breakfast. I personally cannot recommend this shared dorm room unless there's no other choice for availability like Sinulog festival where almost all budget hotels are already fully booked at this time. But hopefully they can improve these areas of concern that I've mentioned in the future, based on my personal experience of staying in their 4-bed dormitory room. This is just my honest and unbiased feedback about Cebu Guest Inn, and I hope that they respect it.
This place is a hostel its not a 5 star hotel. You booked a mix dormitory room. Its not a private room. I respect your opinion. There are 2 bathrooms next to the dormitory rooms and we also have a bathroom and 2 shower rooms downstair that all the dormitory guest can use. This place is a budget type hostel. you can cook, even the mineral water hot and cold is very cheap its only 1 pesos per glass and some of the guest didn't pay for it. During Sinulog we also offer a free breakfast. If we put everything that you want or like we have to raise our price. We always change our beddings when people move out. if you request to change the bedding the housekeeping will do that for you. Each bed have there own locker but you have to provide your own padlock, your responsible to your own personal belongings. about our location, we can't change it. you can ride a taxi, habal habal and a jeepney.
