Freindly and close to old city”
Buffet Breakfast was fine, fussy kids ate ok. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful, rooms clean. Baht buses and tuk tuk's went past the front of the hotel constantly, we didnt wait more than 5 minutes before we had a ride. Drivers from the old city had no trouble taking us home. Aircons could be a little noisy.

i can not fault the hotel. the room was bigger than average. always cleaned well. i just felt a little out of place, as did not see many western visitors. lots of other asians staying there. it is 15mins walk to the night life. so a little out of the way.

Basic product, but good value, poor location”
Good sized room but very dated decor although in average condition. Old style bathroom which works OK Springy bed (haven't slept in one of those for awhile) but I slept OK The hotel is located much further from the city attractions than I expected and is a tuktuk or taxi ride everywhere.

Experience of the stay”
The experience was terrible for first time travelers at first night's check-in time at that hotel. Weaknesses are - location (very far from old city, but, we knew it before our choice). hospitality - that is terribly noted due to the front office staffs who we met were very very rude with poor communication skills in English. They did not want to take responsibility while our room needs to put extra bed. (Actually, that was already very bad not to have room readiness with correct bed allocation for a full pre-paid booking through Agoda). Moreover, there was no prompt bell service to handle our luggage to be put to the room. Finally, to save the time not for missing full moon night Loi Krathoung festival, we decided to carry ourselves our luggages to our room. How nice to experience such a wonderful Thai hospitality in Lanna Kingdom of Chiang Mai. Everything inside such as amenities, lighting system, bed/mattress' comfort; all are old stuffs, they need to urgently changed.

Hotel needs refurbishment - poor lighting”
Booked this hotel after reading various reviews. However, the hotel is dated and needs serious upgrading/refurbishment. Breakfast catered mostly for SE Asian clients with limited Western dishes. Patrons mostly locals and SE Asians. I had a room next to a very noisey family. Furthermore, the piped music along the corridors was a nuisance and very annoying and could be heard in the room. Lighting in the rooms very bad with the Lanna style interior decor further reducing the light (day & night)in the room. Room layout was poor. Room was okay as a temporary base for a day or two, considering the rack rate paid. This should be described as a 2 Star hotel only.
