"This would have to be the pick of hotels in Kanchanaburi. We were very happy with our stay here. We found the location very good with everything we needed nearby. With only a one night stay we hired a motorbike for 1/2 day at 150 tbh to visit all the surrounding sights. Lots of things close by. We found the hotel staff very polite and helpful. The hotel is right in the river.... great views... The pool was very refreshing after a hot day out in the sun. The included breakfast was good. Only negative ( not the fault of the hotel), was the karioke restaurant next door and the terrible singing.. however did finish by about 10pm. We were happy with our stay here and would recommend the hotel, and would definitely stay again."

"Very nice hotel with very friendly staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Breakfast by the river with nice views. I have been here for short breaks before and the location is perfect for the bridge and the railway station. This would be my preferred hotel in Kanchanaburi. A quiet location a short walk to the restaurant and bar area at the bottom of the road. This time, I traveled by bus from Bangkok Sai Tai Mai (100 THB per person, about 2.5 hour journey) and then took a Songthaew from the bus station to the hotel (150 THB for 2 people for the convenience and travel distance to the hotel)."

"I had two nights in Kanchanaburi and stayed in this guesthout one night. Best of all, the location is in the center of downtown. My room was overlooking the river so the scene was very romantic. In the morning I saw some of guests went fishing just in front of the rooms. Next to this guesthouse, there are Mart, pharmacy, restaurants, many bars and massage shops. If I visit Kanchaburi again, I will definitely stay in this guesthouse. "

"1) It took about 20mins walking distance from the bus station to the property. Relying on Google Map, we crossed a few roads and a roundabout and further walked into the temple/ school area before reaching the property. Please be careful of the stray dogs along the walking adventure. 2) We rented a bike from the property and it was reasonable. Would recommend renting a bike to travel and explore the historical town of Kanchanaburi. 3) There is a restaurant and coffee shop (cafe) opposite the property. We have our caffeine fix together with the amazing river view."

Would like to specifically mention of this incredible incident - I left my laundry to dry at the balcony railing in the morning and when I came back in the afternoon, it was neatly arranged on their laundry hanger/holder. "We really enjoyed VN Guesthouse for the location, price and views. Even if you don't get a river-view room (which I recommend), you can still enjoy the view of the river at sunset with a beer from their restaurant. The restaurant has good food at decent prices. There may be better restaurants around town, but we were never disappointed with a meal and beer there at the end of the day, or the start of it. We rented a scooter from them, and that ended up being one of our favorite things to have while we were in Kanchanaburi. Their prices are a little higher for scooter and taxis, but they are convenient and competitive, and overall we found it best to use these services from the guesthouse. We would definitely stay here again! In fact, we extended our reservation one more night because of how much we enjoyed it!"
