Where to stay in Koh Rong
Koh Rong hotels & accommodations

I only want to say it's so sad when I looked back, the island and hotel is gradually disappearing from my eyes. I just felt so sad to leave from this resort and island.I love the dogs there, and also the people, the beach is sooooo beautiful. one thing I need to point out. we spent double money on boat from Sihanuvie to Kog Rong, because we were not informed clearl...

I just stayed 2 nights but really enjoyed it as a relaxing get away attached to a longer Cambodia adventure. Koh Rong is beautiful, more nigh5 life in Koh Rong village but Long Set is better as a secluded beach get away. The beach, pool and restaurant were quite good. The breakfast is buffet style with omelettes and pancakes, french toast and many western style br...

Great relax on the western coast of Koh Rong at this secluded 5 star resort. The food was sensational and the staff were so welcoming and diligent. More water available in rooms would be appreciated and some discussion on arrival regarding sand flies, nasty little unfelt bites that cause much discomfort following.

Best of the best. Robbie-the owner and his family was incredibly helpful in every aspects. After booking Robbie sent me an email with details about how to get there & some notes along with his contact information. Make sure you call him ahead to arrange transportation upon your arrival at the main pier in Koh Rong. The taxi boat driver will be there waiting with your n...

Nestled in the quiter part of Koh Toch beach in Koh Rong, White beach bunglows is the perfect destination on the island of Koh Rong. Pristine white sand, Turqoise waters are not just steps away, you have a clear view of them from your rooms. We stayed three nights, one night in bunglow 12 which was kind of a tree house with amazing views. The food menu is limited buy d...

Stayed here originally for one night then booked another 3. Depending on what type of accommodation you want on koh rong there is something for everyone. Certainly if you want cheap budget accommodation or dorm type then this isn't for you but as a couple wanting some peace x quiet x clean room this was perfect. It's only a 4/5min walk from the village centre so you ha...

For pricey Koh Rong this is a good deal. Be aware that the last ferry leaves from Sihanoukville at 4pm so if u miss that u can’t get there. The lady running the desk had the best English we ran into in 2 weeks in Cambodia and it was just right off the jetty on longest beach. The only better location was the longset resort to the left which was pricier and sold out. Thes...

We were extremely lucky to have gotten a room here as the whole island has been fully booked due to Chinese New Year. The owner (unsure of his name) extended our stay at a very reasonable price! The place itself was spacious and clean. The bed in Super Kingsize and the so comfortable in comparison to the 2 other places we stayed previously on the island. The absolutes...

I stayed here for 4 nights and it was amazing! I did plenty of research on accommodation to live in Koh Rong island and I lucky to have found this gem! I booked the economic queen room, although a bit small, but it was just enough for a solo traveler. Because the Guesthouse is built on a cement structure, there were no issues with mold, termites, mosquitoes (unlike t...

Cute bungalows for $34/night, a little pricey for us but everything on Koh Rong was expensive. Fan and cold water shower only, not entirely insulated from the outdoors (a nice cooling mist over our bed the night it was pouring) but a comfortable bed, plenty of towels, mosquito net and lovely shaded porch. We also booked a boat tour through the front desk, including sno...

This has to be one of the nicest and friendliest places to stay. We originally planned to stay for one night but ended up for three. We could have easily ended up staying longer if we didn't have other commitments. If you are looking for a place to stay in koh rong this must be at the top of your options. Highly recommended.

Location is absolutely great! 1 hour walk from the main pier by the beach, or about $5 boat. There's barely no one on this side of the island and the beaches are really beautiful. And the food from the bar is the best I tried in Cambodia! Went there for the 10 days I stayed on the island and everything is good proportion, fresh and really tasty! You got to try the deep...

The owner, the staff were very kind, we stayed 7 nights, and the owner put us after 2 days to the other room, what is not very noisy, where we can relax more. Every time he welcomed us in the morning, asked what our plan, he offered nice round trip to the Long beach. The island is not a paradise, just to know. Shitty, too much garbage in the water and on the beach as...

We had a lot of fun staying on Koh Rong, and did enjoy our Stay at Malibu Hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Pros - Nice spot on the beach to relax and Swim. There are loungers and hammocks to relax in. Cons - This place is pretty pricey considering it doesn't even come with a bottle of water. Literally every place we have stayed si...

Fun hotel with good restaurant. We stayed in an AC room after a night in a noisy and warm bamboo bungalow. The room was very basic but much cooler than where we were before. The bathroom was not the cleanest and there was no hot water. Although advertised as wifi in the room, it didn't seem to stretch that far. However, the restaurant was excellent and good value for m...

Lonely Beach is a gem. It's rustic for sure, but feels like a paradise. As long as you are prepared for bucket showers, no running water, no wifi, and hot, muggy nights in the bungalow—you'll love it. A pristine beach, beautiful water for swimming (great for kids), snorkeling, a funky beach bar, and total relaxation. It gets very hot at midday—so we lounged and read bo...

One of the cheaper places in Koh Rong. Located on the mainstreet and therefore is quite noisy at night. No problem for us but might disturb some people. 15% of the food in the resturant + free klang which was a great suprise! Great resturant. One of the best waterpressures on my trip so far(my head still hurts).

Travelling alone can sometimes be difficult but the staff at this place made it so easy for me. In fact they were so friendly and hospitable when I arrived on the island of Koh Rong I only intended to stay for 2 days - in the end I decided to stay for Christmas and spent 2 weeks here because the staff became like family! The bungalows are basic but clean and in an exc...

WE HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PLACE. WE SPEND THERE 10DAYS IN TENT AND EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME. HELPFUL STAF, BUNGALOWS AND TENTS RIGHT ON THE BEACH. RESTAURANT PROVIDE GOOD FOOD. KOH RONG ISLAND IS STILL UNTOUCH SO ATMOSPHERE THERE IS AWESOME. NICE AND EMPTY BEACHES. STILL SMILING LOCAL PPLS.

We stayed here for several days when on Koh rong. We loved the feel of the huts spacious and mosquito net in okay condition. Really good fans (one for each bed). Bathroom didn't have a sink (Central bucket you collect the water in when showering which was a bit confusing as seemed to imply this couldn't go down the drain!) loo had seen better days. We were very ill dur...

The Koh Rong Hill Beach Resort is at the far end of Long Set beach, making it the most remote property on the beach. The bungalows are comfortable and perfect for two. The only downside is the property is currently under expansion, so there are piles of pvc pipe and rebar everywhere, and the sounds of construction work mar an otherwise nice spot. Also, the staff d...

We really enjoyed our time at Koh Rong Love Resort, we even adjusted our plans to extended our stay for a few days longer. The facilities were excellent and the staff were great and extremely helpful to us as R had been in a motorbike accident prior to travelling here. The only issue we had was getting to and from the resort.

It is cheap but you have what you pay for. They asked for our passports and told us that they would give it back after we put our stuff in the room. When we came back, the passports we on a table in the restaurant without anyone the watch them. The staff just don't care. They don't try to speak or understand english. They have an english menu, even if you point at thin...

Koh Rong is a nice island, but it's not paradise. Our room was at Sok San Beach, from the main pier you have to take a slow boat. The boat trip takes about 45 minutes and will cost $20 - $30 per boat. So try to share with other people! At Sok San there was one reception for different bungalows/resorts. We actually had a room, not a bungalow. The beach is nice, but this...

Really nice bungalows on the quiet side of Koh Rong Island, not the backpacker party side. Steps away from a beautiful white sands beach that seems to go on forever. Really helpful and friendly staff, easy to book and check in. Some things you should know: you must take the Sok San Express boat to get there, the other boats only go to the opposite side. It is 30 dollar...

I really enjoyed staying on this side of the island. A very simple and easy lifestyle, if you walk up long beach you basically feel like you have the gorgeous island to yourself, and everyone's really friendly cos there are so few people over there. Only thing is there was a bit of local drama every now and then, and I was only there for 3 nights. It seems a group of d...

We really liked Paul, was a fantastic host. He was able to recommend things to do on the island as well as some good places to eat. There was always plenty of cold beer, it was a great place to meet people! Our room was spacious, clean and very fairly priced. We would recommend a stay here to anyone, when we return to Koh Rong we will certainly stay there again!

Yes, you don't have wifi here, neither hot shower or even running water. Don't go there to get a comfy and all inclusive night, it's all about the spirit of the place. The staff is WONDERFUL, they are really helpful, they will make you visit the village on demand and explain how Sarah (the owner) and her volunteers managed A LOT of stuff to help them. The location is...

First, we sent email & message on Facebook to the resort for further info and they replied just within a day. Then, we had some troubles as catching the wrong speedboat which may cost us 5$ more per head for a small boat taking us to the resort. However, after a quick call to the resort, they happily agreed to pay for us. The resort welcomed us with exciting music & q...

Very kind and helpfull staff. The beach is clean only in front of this resort, people comes from the other resort to chill out, everywhere else its trash...Broken glass, and beware of the needle if you go for a walk on the beach, because of all the heroin toxicoman are partying on the other side of the Island and surely throwing their shit on the sea.

I hate to give kind people a poor review but as a traveller I would have appreciated this as I booked based on the location and description, neither of which is accurate. The family running this guesthouse is very nice and trying their best so this is in no way a reflection on them or the service given, but rather on the facilities which you are paying to use.The small ...

The location is right on the beach in the 1st row, not 50 meters from Pier 3 away. Ideal for those who want to catch a ferry to the mainland or another island early in the morning. Ideal also for those who like to go out in the evening for dining or party, since the area between Pier 1 and Pier 3 is the most busy one. Less suitable for those who only want to enjoy peac...

Do not stay here! The bungalows is completely overstated. It is completely filled with construction guys from the nearby construction sites. When we checked in she said the room we reserved was full or the roof was leaking so she placed us in the plywood shack that was divided into 3 tiny rooms. Not a bungalow at all. The female owner was extremely rude and unh...

This guesthouse is right on the beach and just at the end of the village. It’s far enough to escape the noise of the loud music from the bars but close enough to being in the village in 2 minutes.
