"The quality of the hotel and of the rooms is excellent. The staff were also very courteous. The breakfast had a surprising variety of healthy, fresh foods and was a high point of my stay. My bed was fine, though my sleep was a little disturbed thanks to mild altitude sickness. I would stay here again. "

"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Reina Isabel - surprised by the spaciousness of the rooms & bathrooms. Back again for a second & third stay whilst in transit to exploring other countries. Be aware - that Sunday is rest day in Quito - so if you need room service - the main restaurant is closed Staff extremely friendly and helpful with all our needs, we left luggage for safe keeping whilst we explored the Galápagos. Booking taxis no problem - the hotel will call them - tho if you're uncomfortable with the unmarked "taxis" make sure to tell the hotel you wish to have an "official" taxi with all the registered stickers. The hotel takes note of all the taxis number plates that pick you up. Overall would stay here again, on my second stay as writing this review "

"Big capsule beds, super clean, good wifi, in a huge old hacienda that’s super beautiful, and their food is amazing. Downsides: they charge for refilling your own water bottle (most hotels don’t), there’s no kitchen to cook for yourself in, food is expensive and there’s no general hangout area other than the super nice restaurant which has the ambience of a restaurant, not a hangout space to meet people. It was a nice and unexpectedly fancy treat though, but budget meal options for the budget travelers who come here would be nice too :) "
