The Crowne Plaza St Peter’s appears to be undergoing restoration. The rooms were nice and clean but housekeeping was a bit slow and lax in spots. Breakfast was very good with nice selection of foods and free, at least with our reservation. In fact, both restaurants had very good food. Our biggest disappointment was the location, but that was no fault of the hotel; we booked it at the recommendation of a younger family member. For us, as an older couple, it was too far from the center of Rome, necessitating that we take taxis each way at 14 Euros each trip. The hotel does have a shuttle to and from central Rome several times a day, but it would have been much easier to have been nearer to the major sites we wanted to see. Also, having a hotel closer in would have allowed us to carry less or to go back to the hotel to drop off purchases, etc. The front desk staff was exceptional - efficient, helpful and all spoke excellent English.

Perfect had it not far from downtown”
I was personally delighted that the hotel was at par with the rest of the 4-star hotels i have stayed before, except for the location which was not located in downtown Rome, it could have been perfect, but on hindsight, its probably just the right hotel perfect for my stay as it would not appeal alluring if it were located in downtown Rome. I like the soft music brought about by the piano bar at the lobby, to mention as well its cozy ambiance and the lovely oysters at the adjacnet restaurant. I like in particular the bedsheets and pillows-their softness and purity and the number of them! plus the aroma"this works;sleeps" deep calm pillow spray and roller for nostrils, that made me want to stay in the hotel and lounge in my bed all day and night. The breakfast was surprisingly reasonable rates too. Except for the check-out procedures, which took very long as there were no other person in the counter, and even if i told the girl that we were getting into shuttle airport service, she did not prioritize us nor get help from the other personnel to accommodate the rushing clients, we were embarassed having made the other clients wait for us in the shuttle, our stay could have been flawless

Spacious Room but not so great location ”
I stayed in Crowne Plaza for five days on business. I did not have much option because the workshop I was attending was organized in this venue. The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean but nothing extraordinary. The location was not that excellent. I had to take a bus to reach the nearby metro station. The closest metro station was the second last stop on Line A and was in the middle of no where. The ticket for metro was readily available at the reception. Because of the location, I will not probably stay in this hotel unless another workshop is organized. I have tried dinner and lunch at restaurant and in my room. It was nothing special and I would suggest that you go out if you have a chance. It looks like a lot of hotel guests were using spa but I did not have time to enjoy the facility.

Best indoor and outdoor pool hotel ”
1. Big room and hope to get same twin room again in April 2020. 2. Indoor pool and outdoor pool the best hotel to enjoy including SPA, jacuzzi, sauna n all. 3. Great breakfast buffet 4. Bathtub glass panel is very good and water will not come out to floor while bathing however good to have a mat on bath tub as it is very slippery and we cannot afford anyone to fall. 5. Slightly lack of manpower at reception, cashier and concierge - sometimes only one on the floor for different needs - get shuttle bus ticket , check out service, tour booking, answering incoming calls, etc etc etc 6. House keeping is good - sensitive to requirements. 7. Shuttle service to St Peter and to downtown - please never stop this Would recommend this hotel to anyone ...

Very good”
Hotel's location (a few miles away from the city center), and relatively limited shuttle service (only five or six times a day, and only to the Vatican City or near (but outside) the City of Rome, with first bus leaving at 9 AM) limits its usefulness to a traveller interested in getting more out of a limited stay. They did not mention anywhere/ any time, that a Metro station was close by (may be ten minutes walk) which would, coupled with the 1/2/3 day city passes allowing travel by bus, tram and subway (typically for 7 Euro a day).. I discovered it on my last day..

Nice good hotel”
Great hotel with a 24 hour gym. Thats really a plus point so you have the flexibility to work out even in the middle of the night, especially if you have long meetings in the evening!. Breakfast is ok, but something that needs to be commended is the water station right at the reception. its free for all guests, both sparkling and natural water, where most hotel don't even provide complimentary bottle of water inside the room. This is on top of the free 2 bottles of water included in each room/day. Location is a bit off, cos there is only 1 (but really good restaurant) right beside the hotel. Other than that, you need to walk to the nearest town near Cornelia Metro station. Over here, there are countless options for shopping, dining, street food, markets, etc..... Its a local community here. Walking to this place form hotel is about 1.3km which will take you 15mins. The roads are safe, except for a short stretch which is not so bright at night.

Nice hospitality but not go great location”
I stayed in Crowne Plaza for five days on business. I did not have much option because the workshop I was attending was organized in this venue. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The shuttle bus was also available from the hotel to Vatican and city centre for 1 Euro only for almost every hour from 9 am to 7 pm. Because of the location, I will not probably stay in this hotel unless another workshop is organized. I have tried dinner and lunch at restaurant and in my room. It was nothing special and I would suggest that you go out if you have a chance. It looks like a lot of hotel guests were using spa but I did not have time to enjoy the facility.

my bag got stollen in the parking lot”
be aware .. dont put anything ...i mean “anything” on ur car .. 2 of my luggage got stolen in the hotel parking lot ..they even took my sunglasses ...i thought its quite safe to park your car in the hotel premises but turnout a big NO NO .. when i asked : will the hotel reaponsible for it?? they answer nooo .. and they said u have insurance right?!?!? .. oh well .. i just cant argue more as i have to continue with my trip to siena and florence ....and unfortunately i have to delete my sienna trip as it took some time to report the accident to the police .. The hotel help me with calling the hertz car rental, the police and hotel incident form though.. but still .. im very very dissapointed and frustrated ..

Worst IHG hotel I ever experienced”
All facility is old. To flush, you need ancient technique. Only plastic cups are provided in the room. So, I called roomservice to bring 2 wine glasses. But they asked me to come down to pick up or they will charge 5EUR to bring it up. No slipper was set. They use disposable items everywhere. Even in breakfast place, paper napkin, placemat and plastic cups arr used. But quality of Breakfast was fair.

Close To Where You Need To Be”
The Crowne Plaza Rome was conveniently located about 15 min taxi ride from the city center and most monuments. The rooms were adequately sized, and remained clean. The staff was nice, and made check-in easy. We had an overlook of the pool which was occupied by maybe 12-15 guests every day in summer.

Crowne Plaza St Peter’s Rome”
The hotel is a little remote but comfortable. The indoor pool and gymnasium are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Veronica in the dining room and Viviana in the bar made special efforts to accommodate my mother and me on this pilgrimage trip to Rome. The room was good though the plumbing was odd, hot water coming from the cold tap and the cistern. These things happen, but how? Breakfast was good with adequate fruits and breads, cakes and hot options. Streaky bacon is an American thing though and it would have been better to have back bacon which might be less fatty. A taxi to the city costs about 15 euros or more. Perhaps the location is suboptimal. The outside pool is absolutely magnificent but was closed for the winter. I would like to use it in summer.
