Nice location, with 7 eleven just a couple of mins walk down the road. This is very near the harbour so easy access to the boat trips. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a lovely big bathroom with a great strong shower and a jacuzzi outside on the balcony. The views were not great but then we expected that. There were quite a few young couples and people in there 20s and it was a bit annoying to smell cannabis on the beach and by the pool side. We spent 5 nights, had breakfast once which was poor and expensive. Poor selection - only chicken sausages, stingy amount of bread, no beans left so we mentioned it and later they replaced by a few more cold beans. Better to go the restaurant after 11am and get a brunch which is much better in terms of choice of menu and cost. There are a few good local restaurants to go to outside the hotel which I would advise to visit. Overall a good place to stay for it's location and overall quality of rooms.
Our wedding was perfect at Deva. Thanks to our wedding team! The pool villa suite was amazing! It was very large, smelled amazingly, very clean and perfectly styled. I did message the resort prior to let them know that we were having our small intimate wedding at their beach. Our coordinator arranged it. I was surprised that they never did anything to make it feel like wedding special. Our wedding turned out beautifully thanks to our coordinator and her team. The resort didn’t congratulate us or didn’t really say anything. I found that strange. Nevertheless our night was perfect! The rest of the resort could use a bit of a refreshing. All the pool seats are ripped and stained. The staff called us 3 times as we were getting ready to check out. I think we were about 30 min after time. I think the resort could have done better with welcoming us after making our choice to have it there.
Positives: Three swimming pools that were nicely designed and clean especially the pool with the ocean view. The bed was comfortable. The A/C worked well. The garden themed walkways were well-designed with koi ponds. Coffee in the room. Overall, a good value! Negatives: The resort feels dated. The koi ponds all were probably really nice when resort opened but were now all murky water. Our room’s exterior windows needed to be cleaned. Walkway to room’s building could have used some landscaping. No real view; from our room at least. Buffet breakfast was NOT good, and the coffee was awful. Location had some walkable places like a good fancy restaurant at another resort and a 7-11 that were not too far away, but in general, the location was not the best. Not next to many restaurants, bars, etc. so you probably want to rent a scooter. The beach had jagged rocks and was located near a boat harbor entrance so not really swimmable at least no one swam while we were there. Another reason to rent a car or scooter is to go to the swimming beaches.
Stayed at the end of April. The reception staff provided good service, smiling, and working quickly. Chose a grand deluxe room on the 2nd floor. (Initially, I was going to choose a room downstairs by the pool, but I thought it might be noisy since there would likely be people using the pool continuously.) - A male staff member helped carry my bags from the car to my room (✅). - The room was decorated with wood, reminiscent of hotels from the past. It was very spacious, and the bathroom was large and clean. The balcony had a jacuzzi, and there was an aromatic oil lamp in the room that helped create a relaxing atmosphere. The room smelled nice (the hotel seems to have addressed the issue of musty rooms) ✅. - However, the pillows had a slight musty smell when I laid down ❌. - The air conditioning was cold, and the bathroom had hot and cold water ✅. - Breakfast included both Thai-style and American breakfast. Breakfast was served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. - Whenever I walked past any staff, whether housekeepers or gardeners, everyone smiled warmly, which was great ✅. **Regarding water, on the island, water resources are something we understand. Some of the water was slightly yellowish. I have sensitive skin, and I unfortunately had a severe outbreak from soaking in the tub.** Overall, it was good. Nothing scary if you're not serious about swimming in the sea, but it’s not suitable for people with allergic skin conditions. - There was a welcome drink card to exchange at the bar near the hotel beach ✅.

“Best room with jacuzzi tub bonus”
I loved my spacious room with comfortable bed with soft bedding and lots of pillows. The jacuzzi tub on the balcony was heavenly. The pool lovely, and restaurant with cold pressed healthy juices and delectable riffles with fresh fruit, except strawberries which were frozen and sad looking. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and I am especially grateful for the maid who helped me with my heavy backpack, when I checked out, because I was on crutches with knee injury: she was so kind to carry it down the stairs for me and to the front lobby. I highly recommend this hotel stay and hope to return again. The room was worth the climb up the stairs.
