Comfortable Hotel”
This was our second time staying at Dolores Farm Resort on an extended stay. It's an easy place to stay for the most part. You do really need a car to stay here, though, as there is nothing around the hotel and there aren't taxis or tricycles readily available. GenSan city is about a 20-30 minute drive away. The room is rather big and has good closet space. Internet is ok, though not very fast, which is typically the case in the Philippines. Housekeeping is low-key. They won't bother you. You do need to call to have your room cleaned. Breakfast is ok. You don't get much road noise there, but other guests can be loud when they are walking past rooms. There needs to be a sign posted for guests to be considerate of other guests' right to peace and quiet, especially early in the morning and after 10pm. Housekeeping also sweeps the walkway at around 7:30am, which makes an annoying scratching sound that is almost like fingernails on a chalkboard. There is also some kind of night club in the vicinity (can't see it) that produces some annoying low-end (bass) noise late at night. With some reduction in the noise, the stay would be near great. The price is good. We will stay here again.

Mostly Quiet, Pleasant Stay”
This was our first time staying here. The resort is mostly quiet and pleasant. The pools are nice as are the grounds of the resort. It's a bit away from places. Fortunately we had a rental car, so we didn't have any difficulties getting to/from the hotel each day. I couldn't imagine staying there without a car. This hotel is not in General Santos City. It's in Polomolok, which is about a 15-20 minute drive from GenSan. The rooms are basic, but sufficient. Fairly spacious. It seems like all the rooms are the same size, the only difference being the bed arrangement. No major amenities. Cable/Satellite TV has enough channels. There is an ant problem in some of the rooms, but housekeeping will clean them upon request. I also bought some ant chalk that I put in key areas and that kept them out. The staff is nice, but I always had to ask to have the room cleaned each day. They delivered the breakfast each day to the room. Only Filipino options for the included breakfast. The Internet works most of the time. The speed isn't great, but at least it works. Overall, the Resort is pleasant place to stay. We stayed there nearly 2 weeks without any major complaints. A little renovation would do the rooms up nicely!

Check local rates”
This was my second good stay at Dolores Farm. The only hiccup was that the only room available on agoda was a family room to sleep 4, going at us 38 per night. 4 single beds for a couple. In the morning, we noticed a couple checking out, and asked if their room would be available. It was, and for only use 27 one king size bed. After we switched rooms, our stay was very nice. Ask for extra blankets, towels, they will be provided free. Impressive Internet access across the facilities, this had improved in recent months. The pool is well maintained, busy with local families on weekends, but nothing rowdy or late. Nice stay!

Our stay in Dolores Farm resort was good. ”
Our stay was good. I was impressed by the staff, they were accommodating and really pleasant. It would have been better if they provide shuttle service to guests who don't have any means of transportation. However, the front desk staff Valerie helped us with this issue. Another thing, I understand about big parties in the resort but they should have a limit with the noise level. It can be controllable. Our first night, the noise finished at 0330am and the second night until 0130am. Management should also bear in mind that there are other guests in the resort who also need to have a good sleep.

Comfortable, Relaxing Hotel”
We've stayed here a few times now, and the stay was consistent with those previous stays. All stays have been very good. Some renovations were apparent upon our arrival this time. The outside of the building and the inside of the room had been repainted. Mattress had been changed and furniture repainted. Hopefully they will get a new AC and TV in the room next. The ant issue resurfaced during this stay, unfortunately.

very noisy at weekends by rude inconsiderate locals”
On saturday, I was woken up before 7am by a large group of dozens of very noisy, deliberately inconsiderate locals congreagating outside my room. I was on vacation with a 2 year old child who woke up crying! Reported this to reception who did nothing to remedy the situation. Food at the restaurant is often bad with many many flies. The mini zoo should be closed. Animals at the mini zoo are kept in small dirty cages. What year is this? A large bat, unable to fly or spread its wings in its tiny cage had died whilst I was there according to the zoo keeper. Two puppies were tied up outside day and night without a clean bed, adequate nutritional food and no water. I would walk the puppies around the hotel grounds most days as otherwise they had no exercise and nothing to do but sit or sleep in the dirt. I hope hotel management take notice of this review as the animals at thrir zoo are neglected and abused! The five monkeys are considered bad monkeys! The monkeys are not bad! The monkeys are wild animals who should not be keep in cages. It is the humans who are bad! One monkey was in solitary confinement in a tiny cage. Abother monkey was in poor health due to it been dominated and abused by its caged mate. One monkey in solitary confinement, deprived of a noemal life would masturbate everyday and eat its own semen. One monkey had one eye and one finger missing and often had scratches and marks on its body. I believe the monkey was been physically abused by humans! One day the alligator was tossing a cat about its cage. I doubt the cat wandered into the cage on its own. The wild boar is filthy and kept in a tiny cage. The guinea pigs are kept in a small cage matted with urine soaked faeces. The Rabbit looked to be in poor health and was lying down everytime. The poor eagle should be let free and the two deer also. The animals should be freed to sanctuaries to live their days out free from more abuse.

Disappointed by quality of hotel generally”
Overall I was disappointed, the quality of the room was poor, with cheap fittings, a shower that was difficult to operate, and luke warm at best. Ants were everywhere, and the food in the restaurant though plentiful were not well cooked. I will not choose this resort again.

A rural retreat with lovely grounds and pool”
This country retreat is situated about 30 mins drive from Gen San, but was close to where we needed to be, so it suited us well. It is recovering from the Covid shutdowns, so is a little run down atm, but for the price paid, is excellent value for money. The grounds are lovely, used for lots of weddings in the function hall, the half size Olympic pool and adjacent children's pool are very nice, ( an attraction for the locals) . The restaurant serves mostly Filipino food, and the staff are absolutely lovely. If we had any issues, they would attend to them immediately. We stayed there twice for a total of 17 days, and although it’s not 5 star, would happily return in the future.

Rooms badly need to be remodeled”
The resort is beautiful and the pools are great fun, so it is worth a visit for a day trip in you are in the local area. However, the room while very large and with a large comfortable bed fell short in so many other ways. It has the old Philippine slat widows and you could see the wind blow the curtains even when closed. The furniture was outdated. The small desk and chairs reminded my of chairs and desk in grade school. The shower barely dribbled water and the comfort room needs to be updated. You could see where the rain had pealed the paint from the ceiling in places and something possibly rats were living in the ceiling making noises at night. So while I would recommend it as a day resort, I don't recommend staying overnight unless they remodel. Last of all they lost my agoda reservation, that is they didn't even check and I had reserved and paid for the room weeks in advance. So my two night stay turned into one as the first night I had to scramble to find other local accommodations.

Good price & good environment, but facilities can be improved”
I am from this hometown and visited for a week for work and vacation. Our sleep was really good, AC is super cold. The staffs are very nice and friendly. Visitor rules are not so strict so we were allowed to invite friends for a few hours of stay. The room is clean but the facilities are a bit old spec the sheets, the ceiling, and the comfort room. The resort is open to the public so it is a bit noisy during the day. The pool water smells a bit. Wifi can be improved and is not suitable for video-conferencing. comfort room (esp the door) and cabinets need to be thoroughly cleaned or maybe repainted. We saw 4 bed bugs the entire stay and my kids had a lot of bites :( I hope these opportunities can be addressed.

Acceptable”
Kindly served, lack of clear guidlines concerning prices, no card acceptance at all. Low water pressure in the showers, in comparising with other restaurants high prices and no form of etiquette whatsoever.
