Great Hotel in beatiful surrounds”
This is the 5th time I have stayed at the Family Country Hotel and I recommend it wholeheartedly. The staff are very attentive and friendly and nothing is a problem. This is the first time I have stayed in the Presidential Suite as it was my Honeymoon and considering it is only about pesos dearer than a Matrimonial Room I would recommend the Presidential Suite for the extra space.

Nice hotel ”
The Family Hotel and Convention Center has many amenities to offer such as pool, convention, restaurant etc, except the fitness center which is one of the amenities hotel should have. They also have a nice and large surrounding for you to enjoy your stay (their lounge area.) while rooms for two is fit for the needs and enough for the pay. I enjoy eating their breakfast menu for the day, which I ordered: Tuna, specialty of the region, and the warm and Filipino classy surrounding. They also have branch at Airport which offer low cost meal, and the cold lounge within the restaurant. Amazing hotel with it's cost.

Better than Boracay”
The resort is an authentic paradise. It will add more to the resort's attraction if: 1) they have wifi connection in the resort premises; 2) the toilet and bath is directly accessible from the bedroom (no need to step out to the veranda; 3) they would pay attention to details regarding the guest cottages such as broken lighting fixtures, grimy tile grout in the bathroom, windows that cannot be closed properly; 3) they could make use of interior designer for cozier accommodations; 5)they could make use of a landscape designer to enhance the natural landscape; 6) if possible they could clean out the trash in the lagoon area, perhaps it can be used for canoeing and kayaking; 7) the cottage floor need thorough scrubbing; 8) they need to install a nice-looking foot wash near the entry of the cottage to wash-off the sand. Nevertheless, as it is the resort is good and the food is great. Another thing they could make use of a shuttle van or bus to transport guest from the General Santos City to the resort and back. The present arrangement for airport transfer is very expensive and it can turn-off prospective clients.

I had a great time at family country hotel, the staff were more like close friends or family and if i needed something done last minute they were very helpful to get it done. The hotel is very close to all the malls which is great when you come to staff here.

Our stay at the family country hotel is a beautiful experience. I love the hotel location with its quite and peaceful place away from the busy street. The rooms are big enough for the twin bed.The services is good. The hotel staff are very accommodating and hospitable.

we had a great stay in the hotel at very reasonable price. we enjoyed the service of the hotel cafe and swimming pool. it's nice to be back in this hotel. very peaceful hotel a bit away from the road noise.

Excellent location but a bit dated”
Overall... I give high marks to the Family Hotel. The service was good, the room was clean, and the location was quite good. The hotel is OLD however...and the AC unit was really loud. Then again, that might be a godsend given that many groups use this hotel and they are quite LOUD! The AC helps to mask that noise. I upgraded to a larger size room... it was nice to have the space and a small balcony, but I am not sure it was worth the extra money as the room was just as old as the others. The restaurant had excellent food, but inconsistent service I would recommend this hotel to others, but just don't come with very high expectations of a modern style hotel.

Old Hotel with a nice rainforest ambience”
the hotel is situated in the heart of the city which is very accessible to other restaurants, malls, market and more (walking distant). i personally like the restaurant because of the very nice ambiance. the restaurant is glass walled, and you can see outside the plants surrounding the restaurant. it feels like you are in a nature park or in the middle of a rainforest. the staff is very accommodating. the only downside is, it is an hotel. since it is an old hotel, the airconditioner is in worst shape. very old and noisy, so we requested to transfer room, which they provided. bathrooms are quite old and dirty. not recommended for traveler with kids, but its quite okay for backpackers.

good quiet Hotel”
This was a nice Hotel in a quiet area, so was not troubled with lots of traffic noise. The room was basic but had everything you needed. Staff were helpful and the restaurant was very good, selling a good selection of food. Though quiet, it was only a short ride away from the two main Malls, which had just about everything you could want. The pick up from the Airport was very efficient.

Never mind the affordable, get another hotel”
You might notice that I already have submitted a review for this hotel but I would like to give you a bit more insight regarding this accommodation. I tried to book a different hotel because my colleagues and I can't stand the A/C. Sadly, nearby hotels were booked and we only got to spend a night at the Sonly Suites and Restaurant, which, from my point of view, is better than Family Country Hotel despite Agoda Ratings for they offer a good night's rest and better breakfast selection (albeit small servings). Anyway, the second time around, we were given a room with a quieter A/C but sadly the bathroom didn't have any windows and can be quite suffocating. If you are planning to stay long in the hotel, you will get tired of their monotonous buffet and would probably have to order something else from the menu. Their tuna sashimi was still frozen when they served it to us. Luckily, they have a fairly good wine to wash down the food.

well known place, big pool, nice environment”
the rooms are real big, clean but not in the best condition anymore. there two to three beds in the room but all are separate so it isnt the room for a couple and the matrimonial rooms are more expensive. the hotelrestaurant is very nice and breakfast very good. wifi is only in the hotel lobby or in the restaurant not in the rooms. i extended there some times and booked always with agoda cause its cheaper. last time i wanted extention a further time the room wasnt available anymore and i had to check out in time. so now i stay in the neighbors hotel which is newer with balcony and wifi in room so the sonly suits i can recommend as well

Approachable workers”
I love our stay in this hotel with my family. Specially it's locations cause its just with in the city. The staff are accommodating. And the price are enough for its facility. Actually we did able to come back to stay for another 1 night before I leave the city for visayas.

well, not so bad but seen better equipped rooms for lower price. biggest disappointment was that you have to pay extra fee for room service even breakfast is included in price. not a big sum but anyway should be mentioned somewhere before you order room. If you order extra meals and drinks to room you will be charged fee 10% from your order. that's quite strange. I have no problem to pay tips but as far as i know it's voluntary and depending on satisfaction with services not a compulsory thing. Anyway if they wouldn't charge it I would leave them 3 times more than they charged as I usually do if I am happy with services. Ceiling and roof is very hot so even using aircon it takes some time to cool down temperature in room. Bathroom was very clean and new. Nice quiet place with fast access to city. Overall not bad even for the price I paid just as I mentioned there are cheaper places at same level.

Our towels where not changed the whole 3 nights we stayed eventhough we placed it on the chair already on our 2nd night of stay to save planet earth. Our booking reservation thru AGODA did not reach them. I still have to email them my booking reservation (confirmed) from AGODA. First room that was given to us its lavatory has difficulty in turning off the faucet in which water flows continously. Second room, the door is difficult to open. Both of their aricons are old and it is very noisy. It contributes to noise pollution and they are talking about saving mother earth by not changing our bath towels for 3 nights!.They need to level up on their facilities. Total renovations on their standard rooms are recommended. This is an OLD hotel with OLD facilities. However their staff are courteous and helpful except the plumber who failed to repair the faucet. Another staff failed to answer my simple querry "Where is your swimming pool?" She just simply said, "You ask the front desk" Oh my, "nakatago ang kanilang pool". The whole 3 nights we where not able to glimpse or even took a pic of it!. We were then busy attending the convention at SM.

The hotel was okay”
This hotel was a bargain and was located near the malls which made it very easy to get around by foot. The hotel had a free breakfast everyday which was acceptable as well as good service, the only problem that I had was with the shower, never could get hot water for the shower but the shower was just warm enough to use.

all is big and peaceful there ”
all was ok as in my commend before. but the room service changed, maybe there where another stuff or they got it that the price i paid with agoda was much lower as there regular price. so first time we checked in it was a first class service and after extension they only did make it clean but didnt changed the towels and bed bad like before. howeve, its to recommend

hotel with a nice tropical garden”
i stayed for two nights and it was okay. its very practical to stay in this hotel if you are on business trip for a couple of days. location is good and the price is pocket friendly
