Excellent location, as its a walking distance from train station. And walking distsnce to most of iconic places, Anne Franks museum, Rembrand museum, van Gogh, flower market. I stayed in single room, at the top floor, view is nice and room also complete with water heater to make tea and coffee. I love it a lot !

Its Remind me my college days ! Review: Overall it was a very good experience to live in a Hostel felt like college campus. 1. The beds are in good size, but the hight between upper and lower bed to too less, we can not even properly seat on the bed, otherwise it is very solf and comfortable. 2. Kitchen is the best thing if you want to make some food at your own. 3. Staff is very polite and cooperative

Good Place for A Hostel”
For the price I paid as a solo traveler, it was worth it. Staff was friendly and helpful. In addition, the hostel was 5 minutes away from the main train station. My biggest pet peeve was that my hostel bathroom (4 person suite) wasn't cleaned on a daily basis. It smelled a little.

Hit or miss vibes during happy hour. I stayed on a Tuesday and lots of people showed up for the Techno Tuesday event they promoted. The bathroom in the room is poorly ventilated so has a terrible smell to it, I recommend showering downstairs. The rooms in general can get humid very fast without windows open, they offered two fans in the room which obviously wouldn't reach those in the top bunk. The kitchen isn't open until (at the earliest) noon which is inconvenient for those who want to make their own breakfast. It's probably their way of getting you to partake in their offered breakfast (£5 for unlimited bread/ham/cheese/jam/basic drinks but you can get a lot of good food in Amsterdam for £5). Area was central and safe.

be and my girl had short night stay sonwas perfect for a quick nap before catching the train, only problem with this place is the happy hour for 2x drinks was 15€ and everyone smokes tobacco in weed room so I will not return because I don't smoke or want to inhale tobacco

Acceptable”
Room was smelly and the beds are not comfortable, also you are not able to sit on the bed cause the head might bang to the top bed. Washroom was also smelly and no exhaust fan or something like that in it. Id not stay there again. Location is the only good thing about this place.

First timer”
We had a great 3 night break at the Flying Pig; it's in a great location and the staff were brillaint. We are an 'older' couple (I am 60 and the wife a bit younger) and we were concerned that we were too old to stay at a Hostel; we needn't have worried they really made us welcome. We stayed in the Double Ensuite and although very small the bed was really comfy and the room warm and cozy. We diddn't eat at the Pig (hence the 'average' score of 3) as there was plenty of good places to eat out in the close vicinity. We would definitely come back again on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Probably one of the best hostels I've stayed at. You need to have a key card to get in so I always felt very safe. You walk straight into the bar so you feel welcome from the get go. All of the staff were amazing and super friendly. A lot of them hung around after their shifts so it was easy to sit down and have a drink with them. Excellent kitchen facilities. Loads of communal areas where you could meet people. I stayed in an 18 bed dorm but there was plenty of space. They have activities on every night so there was always something to do and someway to meet people. Best thing was the smoking room. So good to be able to have a smoke, meet people and then crash when you were done! When I come back to Amsterdam I'll be staying here again!

Centrally located hostel with excellent staff!”
The common shower facilities were excellent and were diligently kept clean by the staffs. Staffs are well-versed in English and were able to advise us accordingly on the attractions in Amsterdam.

Best hostel in Town”
I will definitely come back here. Staff were so nice and help me out a lot and it's in the center of the downtown. Party is just inside the hostel. Near to everywhere and I really love my stay. I will recommend this hostel.

I love this hostel. It's always clean, the staff is friendly, and you can't beat the location. The breakfast included is better than the breakfast at 85% of hostels around the world. The bar and common area downstairs is great for meeting people. I've stayed here twice over the past ten years and I always meet amazing people. :)

Great Party Hostel”
The stay is comfortable for the price, its a backpackers hostel. There are facilities like lockers in the common area and safe at the front desk. Main thing about this hostel is that the people you meet, its a mini party central. Don't expect TVs or safe in the room, the bunk beds have a small drawer under. Bring your own locks if you want to use these lockers under the beds, they are somewhat sturdy. You can get locks there too but they are the normal usual brass locks. The common area is where you'll be most of the time and it is comfortable. So for the money value, the ability to mingle and meet people, party the night away, this is the place to be.
