Lovely talk ceilinged rooms, with windows and air con. Ventian style furniture with Italian elegance. Welcoming staff despite limited ability in Italian. In easy walking distance of the old town. No restaurant at night but plenty in the old town. Great breakfast.

Close to station ”
Staff are very nice and the breakfast is excellent. Rooms are clean except for badly stained carpet. Comfortable bed. Rooms do lack facilities. No kettle and drinking water is at mini bar prices. Front rooms are noisy with men hanging around in the street late and machines starting at 6am.

It takes a lot for me to put up a negative review about a hotel but I feel that the Grand Hotel Lecce definitely was one of the worst hotels we've stayed in over the years. The hotel was probably nice 40 years ago but has yet to receive an upgrade. Breakfast was mediocre at best, very basic and the hot food (scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage) looked like prison slop. If you come down after 9am,youd be lucky to even get a piece of fruit. The icing on the cake though were the rooms. The most uncomfortable beds stringed together with horrible springs that resulted in about 10hrs sleep over the 5 days stay. Noisy air conditioning unit that decided to leak all over our main bag on our last night destroying all our clothes, we had to switch it off in the middle of the night soon to have the room turn stuffy with the peak heat of the summer outside. When we told the receptionist about our horrible night on checkout, we weren't even given an apology, just the bar bill and on our way. Between unsavoury characters to the left of the hotel hanging out at the kebab shop and the immigration office to the right, the location isn't ideal unless you are making use of the train station everyday. We are a little baffled on how this hotel received such positive reviews as did our previous hotel north of Puglia but maybe this is just the standard for this region. Positives were the staff especially the man working at breakfast, was always accommodating. The pool we had to ourselves most days as well, good when it was the height of the Italian holidays so the beaches were jammed. Great location for the town and station. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was tired but clean. Great breakfast selection. Lovely hotel staff, were very friendly and helpful. Would happily stay here again.

We were given a lovely room(No.105) beside the elevator. Very well furnished and equipped. Friendly and help staff. We will return!

Belle chambre au décor ancien et agréable”
La chambre était spacieuse et propre. Il y avait deux fauteuils et une table. Un vestibule séparait la chambre de la salle de bain et de la porte d'entrée ce qui isolait du bruit possible du couloir. La salle de bain était grande, claire et propre. Le personnel était très accueillant (l'accueil nous a même téléphoné pour savoir si la chambre attribuée nous convenait). A deux pâtés de maisons de la gare et à 200 mètres de la vielle ville. Très bon emplacement.

Un hôtel qui ”
Cet hôtel qui possède un cachet certain subit malheureusement les affres du temps par un cruel manque d’entretien à tous niveaux. Le potentiel est là mais extrêmement mal exploité. Quel dommage ! Le petit déjeuner était plutôt correct et la localisation très bonne pour gagner le centre historique. La piscine souffre d’un manque d’équipement et n’est pas idéalement exposée à partir d’une certaine heure. Enfin, nous avons dû payer 8€/pax/nuit de taxe de séjour alors que ce n’était mentionné nul part dans les conditions. Expérience mitigée du coup.

2 nuits passées et aucun problème. Prix très raisonnable. Piscine toutefois un peu sale au fond. Il faut en profiter tôt dans la journée car le soleil disparait ensuite de la cours.

Merkwürdig”
Wir hatten ein Zimmer für 2 Erwachsene und ein Kind 9 Jahr gebucht. Wie bekamen ein Zimmer ohne Zusatzbett. Auf Nachfrage, konnte man uns weder ein Zusatzbett, noch ein anderes Zimmer noch eine extra Decke anbieten. UND : Wir waren die einzigen Gäste in diesem großen Hotel.

Tende e moquette sono di troppo”
Piace probabilmente agli estimatori degli arredamenti finto antico da serie americana sul bel mondo. Per noi che apprezziamo gli arredamenti razionali e moderni, moquette, tre serie di tendoni con nappe d'oro, rivestimenti del bagno marezzati, vasca con idromassaggio, sono veramente di troppo, anzi opprimenti. Per il resto è un bell'albergo a 50 metri dalla stazione.

SCELTA ECCELLENTE”
Un hotel perfetto per le mie esigenze, trovandosi subito fuori dalla stazione, con la fermata degli autobus davanti e a 5 minuti a piedi dall'inizio del centro storico. Camera con parquet, ampia e pulita,, non perfettamente insonorizzata, letto comodo. . Ambiente elegante. Receptionists gentili e disponibili. Colazione buona, con prodotti di qualità. Presente all'interno dell'hotel un distributore automatico di snack è bevande, con prezzi assolutamente popolari, bottiglie d'acqua a 60 cent! Ci tornerò sicuramente.
