First of all, I felt an unfriendly atmosphere even before checking in, and then something unbelievable happened. As mentioned in P1, when sending messages before checking in, it is necessary to emphasize that the trouble caused to the homestay is due to the pneumonia in China. I wonder what the landlord's reaction would be if he carefully looked up the relevant information and found out that the novel coronavirus did not originate from China but from another country (I won't name which country here, otherwise I would become like the landlord and be disrespectful to others). Secondly, the facilities and handling methods for dealing with emergencies were very poor. Even though we had a companion who was good at Japanese, we didn't find envelopes with our names in the mailbox on the day we arrived (twice, once at noon and once in the evening) despite being sure that we didn't go to the wrong place. We had to call the landlord twice, and the problem was solved slowly (during which time we were constantly wondering if we had gone to the wrong place, etc.). Otherwise, we would have had to sleep on the street. After communicating with other netizens who had stayed at this homestay before, I found out that this homestay had also been unfriendly to Chinese people before, saying things like they don't welcome Chinese people who don't speak other languages. Although the price-performance ratio is relatively high, the hotel environment is just so-so. Moreover, it was the first time I encountered such an impolite store in Kyoto. If it's because you had some unpleasant experiences before, I hope you don't project your negative emotions onto others. Such behavior is very stingy and makes people speechless. It would also deter people from any other country from staying at this hotel.
