well located but not worth the money”
The hotel might be better during the peak season but is not worth staying at during the off season. The cafe is supposed to be good but was closed and not operating at the time of our stay. Instead, we have been given coupons for the breakfast for another place not opening before 10 AM which is highly inconvenient when traveling with children. The room (downstairs) are rather dark and small. The mattress was not very good and the extra one (charged 750 THB / night) was rather small and not good either.

Nothing but "fantastic"”
Just back from Pai,after spending my wonderful night at Hotel Des Artists. It is located in a terrific area--at the center of Pai, at the corner of the walking street where I could do my shopping as much as I wish. I was first impressed by a very warm welcome by the hotel staff. The breakfast was so great , especially coffee at Cafe D'tists. If I have a chance to go back there , I will bring myself back to Hotel Des Artists, for sure. And it will be my recommendation for anyone who will visit at Pai.

Lovely hotel in a great central location”
Just on the edge of the main street in Pai, Hotel des Artists Rose of Pai is a great place to stay if you want to be in the center. A lot of attention has been paid to the design and use of colour and it makes for a relaxing place to base yourself. If you're looking for somewhere very quite of with spectacular views though, this won't be for you.

Comfortable rooms, great location, service with a ”
One of my friends had mentioned Hotel des Artists to me and suggested that I try it out. I was only passing through for one night so I decided 'why not?' Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's great location - within walking distance to most of Pai's attractions, and only a short motor scooter ride everywhere else - and overlooking the peaceful Pai river. The hotel has a very nice 'traditional Thai' vibe about it, and the rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. I was easily able to contact my office and home (and surf the net!) using the free wi-fi provided by the hotel. In the evening, I had dinner at the hotel's cafe (the Pad Thai there is delicious!) and then took a stroll down the 'walking street' night market, which started only about 10 metres away from the hotel's front door! All in all, a very pleasant stay. I only wish it had been longer.

A little piece of paradise in the middle of Pai”
We were staying at another hotel close by and, out of curiosity, decided to wander in to this one to have a look. What we saw was, in a word, breathtaking. The photos we had seen on the internet did not do it justice. We were so impressed, we decided to stay an extra day in Pai so that we could try out Hotel des Artists and see if it was as good as it looked - and it was one of the best travel decisions we ever made. Talk about old-world charm with all the modern conveniences! Friendly staff and included breakfast in the hotel's outdoor cafe were just the icing on this delicious cake. We will definitely be staying here every time we come back.

Recovery”
It's paradise comparing to my Pura Vida stay the day before. I switched to the room adjacent to the river so that sunshine could direct penetrate into my room and I can lay on the bed watching everyone crossing the bamboo bridge. I caught a bad cold these days. Hot water here help me recover. It is just steps from the walking street. I love it! Next day I stayed in Pai Island. But Artists Rose is surely my choice next time.

the most beautiful hotel in central Pai”
We loved this hotel. The entire structure and the room decor were beautiful. The view of the river out of the large windows and balcony in our room was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable. Service was wonderful. The front desk staff spoke good english. The breakfast was mediocre, but good relative to what you get elsewhere in Pai, I imagine. The wifi was fast. I think this is the best hotel in central Pai. It was also very quiet, despite being in central Pai. This is largely because Pai itself is a sleepy, quiet town. The only thing I would suggest in terms of improving the hotel is to put either mosquito screens on the windows or a mosquito net over the bed. There are a lot of mosquitos in Pai, so if you leave the beautiful big windows open, you will have a lot of mosquitos in your room that night.

Nice hotel in Pai downtown”
i have been at hotel des artists in pai for three nights. the hotel is at the end of pai's main street close to the river. i would say that the location is nice, yet pai is so small that it is really difficult to rate a place in pai in terms of its location. the room's design and decoration are definitely very nice. please, note that this accomodation will be on the expensive side of the spectrum in pai.

A nice stay in a relatively quite Pai. ”
We had two rooms. When we checked in they accidentally gave us a twin bed room. But they soon fixed this up and fortunately meant one of our rooms was upgraded to the river view room (gave that to our parents). The standard rooms have beds on a raised platform on the floor, which actually is quite nice to sleep on. This would be one of the most expensive hotels in Pai, but worth the cost. Rooms were designed well, bathroom was big. The only thing they needed to fix was the poor lighting in the bathrooms. You can't see anything to do anything (ie girlfriends makeup). Breakfast was not buffet, but made to order and you can get it anytime of the day, so take the time to wake up when you like. No hurry here. Food was good quality and we used the breakfast everyday. Right in town, a little difficult to get your car too and only a few parking spaces available. We had an issue with ants engrossing our car as it was parked next to a bush. So if you drive, make sure your car isn't touching any trees, bushes etc, or you might come out to find your car infested with the little annoying insects. Overall was a great hotel to stay at. If I returned to Pai, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. However, a few too many foreign Hippies have taken residence for my liking.

Everything we expected and more”
Staying at the Hotel des Artists was a wonderful experience. The hotel features a gorgeous design, with a small but well kept garden and a comfortable outdoor dining area. The deck at the back of the hotel facing the river is also fantastic for lounging and reading. The rooms are well furnished and very comfortable. The air conditioning did cut out midway through on the last night of our 4 night stay there, but the room remained cool enough for comfort. Location is excellent as it is on one end of walking street, allowing for easy access to the eateries and shops there without being affected by any noise.

Boutique hotel nice service ”
Bou The hotel is in the middle of Pai town. It is just few steps to the night Market. The hotel is just one level but must climb one set of stairs (about 15 steps). Shows must be kept before going up stairs. The room and bath walls have dark color the same color as the concrete. The room is clean and tidy. The bathroom has nice style. There is a nice massage shop just in front of the hotel. Many restaurants and shops are in the night market near the hotel. The breakfast is good but limited. Fresh fruits are included in the breakfast. All staff where helpful although the manager where not happy to recommend other restaurants other than the one of the hotel. Pai has many nice places such as hot springs, Sliding waterfall, mountains views, china town and others.

I like it's designation,some corner is so lovely!All the furnitures,stairs,floor,doors are made by wood and all are vintage-styled. The bathroom is large,and the bed is tatami,you are reguired to take off your shoes before you go into the house.It's very clean in the house and the room. The hotel is exactly on the riverside,so it has wonderful riverview,and it's on the main street in pai,five minutes walk to Aya-service-center,very convinient. The breakfast is very very delicious. But it's a little expensive in Pai.

Hotel des Artistes Rose of Pai, a paradise ”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel des Artistes! The room overlooking the river was lovely. The bed was comfortable, The shower & bathroom spacious and beautifully decorated with details like lacquered boxes, orchids, lovely lighting and baskets of fresh towels. The cafe is very nice, with several breakfast options and thoughtful service. The staff was gracious, attentive and helpful. I only wish that I could have stayed longer!

Best place to stay in Pai”
This is the best hotel I've been stayed in Chiang Mai. The location is the best part. Inside the town and surrounded by many restaurants. But in the corner of the street provide a complete private and quiet accommodation. What's more,the decoration in the hotel and room are awesome,in the style of Pai, which is amazing. Breakfast is more than good. We can order breakfast from the menu, and it's delicious. Helpful stuff also provide us useful information! If I go back to Pai, l will still chose to stay in this hotel!

Best hotel in town”
we really enjoyed our stay in hotel des artists, the rooms are big and clean, breakfast was excellent, staff very helpful and always with a smile and location is very close to some good restaurants, bars and travel agencies. they have dvds for free at the reception which you can take and watch in the room, and afternoon tea was great. on the downside the room is a little bit dark for shaving and wifi signal was weak in the room, but they have 2 computers with internet.

The best hotel situated in the heart of Pai”
Hotel des Artist is very beautiful and antique. this ancient wood-house is by the river at its backyard and Pai's walking street at its front door. but my most fav corner is the hot tub at the backyard, especially when the sun is setting down. i love the food here, particularly, curry that called ""Haeng Lae" or something with pieces of petta. This place really complemented my holiday's experiences.
