Excellent room and onsen”
Super value. We walked with 2 kids aged 9 and 6 from Kinugawa onsen station and stopped on the way at the convenience store. They had in the hotel lobby some cup noodles and chips too. Our large room had extended view on mountains with the sun from a large window, all with many warm futons and all practical amenities. Great morning wakeup! Onsen was excellent, super clean, wonderful wood scent, with view directly on the forest!! There were very few guests so we enjoyed the hotel by ourselves a lot! Great value, kids loved it.

Good experience”
The hotel is 15 mins away from Kinugawa Onsen Station by walking. Not very close, but good enough for this price. Rooms are big and clean, what’s good for us is not many tourists right now, so we could use the public onsen just by ourselves ( there are two onsens separately for men and ladies ) Prob it's the highest cost effectiveness hotel around that area.

Spacious room for a peaceful stay”
I happened to get a very good deal, staying at a Japanese-style superior room for a very competitive price! The room was huge and very comfortable. It's a bit of a walk from the station (about 15min) but nothing unreasonable. The hotel was probably not very busy, since I had the common bath area all to myself both in the evening and in the morning (what bliss!) My only "complaint" is that there was an electric kettle and cups in the room, but I couldn't find any tea... Even the vending machines downstairs didn't have any warm drinks despite it being February. Luckily there was some cup ramen at least.

Pleasant stay”
It’s a bit of walking from the station, but other than that it’s a pleasant stay. The staff were nice, the room and the onsen at the sister hotel were great. When checking out, if you want to use the shuttle bus, it’ll cost you ¥190.

CLEAN AND PEACEFUL! 😍”
The place is clean. I love how they utilized tatami as the over all flooring. Like you can walk bare foot on the hallways and in the elevator because it's just clean. The staff is very accommodating too. The onsen is good too! I just wish it was not that so light but it is goooood!!!! Would definitely go back and book again with my family next time ....

Beautiful location and wonderful onsen”
We wanted to go a hotel very traditional Japanese hotel so it was perfect for us. They have a beautiful views mountain and river from windows, hot bath inside and outside in the woods. Sleeping on tatami mat were great experiences. They are quite close to the Kinugawa station and 5min away from convenient store, which we saved some money for meals. Great hotel if you are travel with older kids, group 4 and up.

Very good ratio quality price ”
This hotel has a good overall standing : very good location, very efficient and friendly service, spacious room, private baths, and provides a shuttle service to one onsen closed by. Only one comment about the cleanliness in the room : may improve this item about the bed sheets.

Excellent”
Big, clean room. The Onsen at the sister hotel was fantastic. A bit of a walk from the train station though so might be difficult for people with luggage. I would recommend storing your lugagge and just take a day bag.

Great new onsen with outdoor bath”
Lots of reviews say that this hotel doesn't have its own onsen and you have to go to another hotel to get hot bath. Perhaps after lots of complains they opened own onsen and I loved it, although it is small but outdoor bath with lighted up trees is spectacular. Wouldn't recommend it for long stay as other tourists correctly note that hotel is quite old. Also hotel has this distinct ryokan smell and if you are sensitive to smells like me, don't stay in this hotel for a long time.

Very good”
Great spot with a nice onsen. Wasn’t very busy so each time we went to the onsen it was just us there! Friendly staff, a bit hard to communicate since their English was not very good, but good for practicing my Japanese!!!

Nice standard onsen hotel”
Room is big and clean which come with the price, I only hope they also provide Futon preparation services. The location is okay but nothing around the hotel also not so close to the river. Staffs were very helpful to provide the information. We didn't use hotel bath but other one.

Nice Onsen but the room was filled with some insects”
The location is a bit far from the station. The Onsen was nice, a little far from the main building though. The things I didn’t like about were the insects everywhere in the room, the noise in the late evening, and the member of staff who impolitely raised his hand to stop me when I was trying to handing the form out at check in. He wanted me to fill my phone number in the form, but no need to raise his hand in front of me to stop my action.

I love this hotel!”
I love it! The staff are so nice. They cannot speak English but they tried so hard to communicate with us. He take us to the lobby and the common area, and tell us what we can do in the hotel. The room is very big. I thought it would be the small one from the picture I saw form somewhere but I was surprised after entering the room LOL Worth our money! The location was actually far from Kinugawa Onsen Station but the view at the bridge was priceless! only around 10-15 mins walk (don't trust google map .. just walk to the alley on the left of the convenience store "Rainbow," then turn left and walk until you see 7-11. After that, turn right and walk along the bridge and you'll see the tall building and that's it! :D

Ryokan experience, with yukata, onsen and everything.”
The room is big, i think 1 family can fit into it. It was quite far from kinugawa onsen station but they have shuttle bus so you dont need to walk. The staffs spoke limited english but they were trying so hard to explain (which was funny experience)
