A great hotel ”
Went to kenting with my family of 2 older children and we stayed at the sea view room with loft. The room was big enough for 4 of us and someone could also laze at the loft (sofa bed). There is a function room where you can play table tennis, 5-6 pool tables and also a small indoor playground for younger kids. There is a swimming pool too if you do not want to swim in the beach. A linked walkway to the beach. A small deer enclosure where you can feed them at a small cost. Walking distance to the night market. Ample parking space if you drive. The staff were polite and friendly even after working over the long weekend! Good breakfast spread too! An enjoyable trip for us.

Nice, spacious hotel for families”
We overall enjoyed our stay at the Howard. The rooms were very spacious, and even though the hotel is much older they were very clean. It looks like they have done some updates and definitely do a good job cleaning. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The check in process did take awhile, but seemed like they had a system down. Also maybe because it’s a HUGE place and was a weekend. I would just make sure you factor that in. The pool is really nice, huge and lots of room to just chill or swim. It’s also nice they have a private walkway to the beach. Starbucks is also a few steps away connected to the hotel. I especially recommend this place for families. The rooms would make it more enjoyable because of how much space they offer and all of the facilities.

Good value maybe due to Covid travel restrictions ”
Hotel is a bit old but fairly well maintained. Lack of tourist due to Covid. Maybe that makes the staff complacent because the room safe wasn’t working, and there was cigarette ash from the previous guest . Yet the chambermaid which should note this, failed to do so. Room is big with two queen size beds in it. Good value in general.

Good holiday resort”
The resort is old but well maintained. Everything was great but the breakfast. They have different food for breakfast, but nothing tasted good. If they improve their breakfast, I would choose to stay there again, otherwise I rather spend a bit more money to stay in Caesar hotel instead.

Good but needs improvement”
The location and facilities of the hotel is good. Walking distance from the night market. And a private tunnel to the Shiao Wan Beach. We were placed in a room with the view of the pool and the locked deers. The deers look healthy but there is unpleasant smell inside the room because of the caged animals which made the balcony unusable. The tunnel to the beach opens at 7:30~18:00. And so we went to the beach just before 08:00 and unfortunately, the doors weren’t open yet. And worse, we were literally trapped in the mall area because the doors went locked. Luckily, we brought a phone with us and called the hotel’s hotline. The breakfast didn’t meet our expectations. The food choices are limited to the typical chinese foods. It could be better if there were more choices. We had a 1night stay. I would still recommend the hotel. But i guess you have to stay at least 2nights to enjoy the facilities.

This time pleasantly surprised that our room had 3 king sized beds for a 4 person stay. The pool is nice for families with small children with 3 different depth areas. The children's play room is nice maintained with a plastic ball pit. For adults, there are free pool and ping pong tables. Room carpeting is well worn, but the bathroom was very clean and up dated. Almost all staff gave a friendly greeting as you passed them in the hallways. The breakfast buffet again was great with lots of variety - western food, Chinese food, porridge, steamed items, fresh fruit, etc.

Quiet and perfect perfect in the middle of February. Though came with lady friend it's the perfect hotel and location for the family traveler, or anyone who enjoys being near the beach.
