Price was great , breakfast was decent, free laundry was a bonus but dryers were too small and too weak to dry within a hour time .. beds were way too hard and room smells like old house that have never lived in for a while ... will not return .

Old fashion hotel but service was top notch”
frankly, we were very disappointed when we arrived at the building. it looked like an old office block with no indication that this is a hotel. we were ushered to the the lift that took us to the 23rd floor that house the hotel lobby. it was one of those traditional and old fashion hotel lobby reminiscent of the 80s.let's just say this hotel has seen beter day sand passes it prime. however, we were very surprised by the size of our room. it was huge! we booked a junior suite and it turns our much bigger than we anticipated. it was at least 1.5 times the size of our suites we have stayed in and even bigger than our 2 900 sft condo apartment back in singapore.this was a great room, abielt still rather stuck in the 80s in its decor. we need some directions to a few tourist attractions including sun moon lake and the hsr station to get to taichung and the concierge a mr peter azuma was just superb. he researched all the details for us, printed the relevant materials and even called his wife at the visitor center at sun moon lake to take care of us. the porter was also exceptionally helpful and making all the taxi arrangements throughout our stay. all our misgivings about the facilities and age of the hotel vanished into thin air with this kind of staff and service, all the hotel needs is a major refurbishment to spruce up its appearance,then it should be able to rank alongside the very best in its category.

Cozy & Nice”
When I checked into the hotel, I was surprised that I've got a room at the top floor. The view was good and we actually get to view the fireworks at midnight 1.1.2013. Very close to amenities and there's an amusement centre on the 11th floor. Good shopping opportunities. Would definite come back again to this hotel.

It was nice”
It was a nice stay in general. The trip was mainly for friend's wedding but we spent one extra day to visit locations around for our child. The hotel staff were very friendly and help especially finding a taxi. Breakfast was very enjoyable. I do recommend it if you are visiting the town.

old sytle hotel”
This is an old style hotel that we were staying. What we do not like about this hotel is the lobby of the hotel is located on the upper floor of a business building. The porter did not show up until about 5 minutes after we arrive at the hotel. The room of this hotel is old but still considered clean. The only thing that we like about this hotel is the choice of breakfast that they offer. Both western and oriental food is available.

Not a great location but very good duty manager”
there used to be a sogo shopping mall just next to this hotel but unfortunately it was closed down. as such, the attractiveness of staying in this hotel suffered quite a bit. the hotel is quite old but relatvely clean. the breakfast buffet is no fantastic. the younger hotel staff requires more training in serving. they usually give you a blank stare until you actually talked to them. no smiles. the older staff are more friendly. greeting you morning and making small talk with you. when my friend was late for my appointment and i was waiting for him, the duty manager actually came over and ask if he can be of any assistance. that is why caring of him. in terms of location, it is alright, not fantastic.

I got a lager room with a working area. The question is the working are was fully filled the mold smell due to no 24-hours air-condition to keep mold out. The bed and bathroom are fine compared to other hotels.

Super spacious room and basic breakfast”
The best thing I like about this hotel is the size of our room. We stayed in a quardruple room and it is probably the biggest one we stayed in Taiwan so far. Never regreted trying a new hotel in Zhongli. The toilet was basic but clean and it came with a bath tub. Breakfast was quite a spread compared to other hotels we stayed before but I wouldn't say that it is so fresh. The cheese sandchich was dry for example. However, if you don't mind taiwanese porridge or soup noodles for breakfast like me, then it is not a fuss. I noticed that a MRT station stop was going to open in future just beside. That will definitely make this a very good hotel to stay in in future.
