Nice Homely Place”
The fastest way to the Pension is via the road that leads from the Station to old Ginza. You just need to turn left about halfway near a traffic light. The Pension is about 300m from the main road. The staff are super polite and helpful. They will go out of their way to help or advise you on anything. We were walking out when they advised us that it might rain and we went to get our umbrella or you could borrow from them. Our room was nice and warm when we returned from our walk. They have taken the trouble to make sure we are comfortable when we returned to our room. At the end of your stay, the staff will kindly drive you to the station. Really good service.

Best B&B ever.”
This journey is really awesome ! I went snowboarding in Karuizawa my two children. The hotel owner picked us up and sent us to the ski resort, prepared delicious Japanese breakfast and dinner everyday . They gave my child a big surprise on his birthday, which made us have super wonderful memories, and we will definitely go again and often in the future. Thank you all!

Helpful staff and nice location ”
i enjoyed my stay a lot thanks to Aizawa san, he was really helpful with my travel plans in Karuizawa. The location was perfect and i love every part of it, its a short walk to the station and the Kumobaike. They do have free yukata rentals and other amenities, public bath was super clean and nice. Definitely recommend here.

Very friendly and welcoming staff”
The room is basic but cozy enough for relaxing after a long day in Karuizawa. All the staff are very friendly and caring. I tried to contact them via agoda and email for pick up arrangement as stated in the booking but failed. They did drop me off at JR Station after checkout which is very kind of them. All in all its a pleasant experience at a good value of money

Nice comfy stay near Karuizawa station”
We stayed for only 1 night but it was a pleasant experience. Did not check the bathroom since we arrived after dropping by Hoshino hot spring. The toilets were kept very clean. Pros -Easy access from Karuizawa station: about 15 min walk (the place is in the forest o the way leading from the main road to the actual place is quite dark. It may be better to be very mindful of this if you're a solo traveller) -Generous amenities: free water, tea, yukata, comb, etc. They even provide moisturizer lotion. -The staff was very kind and helpful Cons -The facility is well maintained but still looks kind of aged (we didn't really mind though)

The pension was a nice place to stay as a solo traveler . It was nicely in nature but still close to the station. The staff was also very helpful. Since it was in the forest there were a lot more bugs in the pension than would have been nice. The bathrooms were also shared, so be forewarned.

Friendly and accommodating staff”
The place is a little bit far from Karuizawa station but we enjoyed the walk along Karuizawa Hon-Dori. At night, the surrounding area is also dark. We made use of our phone flashlights to find our way to the lodge. Staffs were very friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a ride going back to Karuizawa Station after we checked out. We slept well. However we didn’t expect that the place only have shared bath and toilet rooms.

A little bit hard to locate it, but it's alright. 10 mins walk from the karuizawa stn. Little warm welcoming house. Friendly staff. Bicycle rental service. One of the staff gave me a heat pad in a morning when I started cycling out. Feel so warm. Recommended.

Friendly and warm hospitality”
The hotel needs 15 mins walk from the Karuizawa station if you get the right direction, the location is a bit away from the main street that was compensated by better room rate. The room and facilities are neat, but it was a bit noisy as you can hear people closing doors or walking in the corridor. The hotel staff are nice and friendly and offered us chance to make the Japanese rice cake. The hotel provides nice Japanese cuisine breakfast which I liked very much.

A quiet place in the wood”
It is about 10-min walk from the station. The pension is a bit old but a warm and nice place to stay. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is of great value. One complaint would be the heater which is over-heated and can't be adjusted. Apart from that, others are good.

Love the green surrounding although is little far to walk from train station ”
It was a pity that triple sharing room do not come with attached bathroom and toilet. Staff was friendly although all of them could only speak Japanese. However, one made an effort to call a friend to translate our enquiry, which was much appreciated. Seeing our heavy luggages, one of the staff offered to send us to near the train station and that was so greatly appreciated by us. Generally the place is clean n well kept but do note there is no street lamp when u walk back at night. Overall good !!

Quite location. Beautiful and rustic surroundings and forest. Excellent and attentive staff. Difficult to find. No English sign outdoors. Wrong GPS location on Google maps. Located in a side road of another rural road. Common baths and toilet facility. Long walk from the station.
