Clean and friendly little hotel down a small alley in Tainan. Really liked this place, friendly service, good location, clean rooms, nice facilities. They got it all here. I'll stay here again when I come back to Tainan and would recommend it to anyone.

Good place for a short stay ”
The location is good and close to the markets. However, it located at an alley and a bit hard to find the exact place by Google Map. The room is clean and the staff is friendly. Also, they offer free bike renting for customers.

Wonderful place in general, and especially for the cost. Fabulous location, full sized towels, hot water heater in room with tea and coffee provided, and cold and hot water station to refill bottles. Definitely worth a stay!

Great location, a little bit of bliss”
I got the HSR to Tainan thinking it would be quicker from Kaohsiung but the HSR stations out the city centre, so that was a mistake, but lesson learned...just a note for others.... So hotel, taxi found it very easily, its 20 metres down an alley near a main junction. They don't speak much English but via translate you will manage. The room was lovely. It felt like a proper hotel room and not a budget room. It was super clean, cleanest place I have stated on my Asian travels. The cleaner guy was lovely, very smiley. Room was nicely decorated. There's stairs and a lift. Communal area is on top floor, I didn't use it, but it was nice. I would definitely recommend. It was value for money and a lovely stay.

Access via small alley near to main road. Clean, small hotel with lift access from 1st to 6th floor. 7th floor via stairs is a get together area with a football table, hot/cold water dispenser, washer but no detergent provided, tables and chairs. Guests can on the aircon but to switch off afterwards. This is a self service area. Room itself is really small but clean so after 2 luggages, walking space is very limited. It comes with a tiny window + curtain high on the wall. Tv, kettle and fridge provided in room. Walking distance to one of the attraction ie 天上聖母 temple. Lots of local eateries nearby including a 碗糕 which i love! Nearest shopping mall is about 15min walk with a small supermarket and foodcourt. Getting a taxi is no issue. Otherwise hotel staff can help you. Gave the road name and taxi driver had no issue locating. Overall, value for money for a 1 night stay.

Come here if you don't need to shower”
This hotel has hands down the worst shower that I've ever encountered. During my first stay the shower head attachment was loose so the shower head couldn't aim properly. This time there was issues with maintaining water temperature. It went from blistering hot to cold water, I almost felt like I was going to catch a cold from this misery shower experience. I think I had enough and would not go back again.

We are extremely pleased to have selected Lai Chi Te for our stay in Tainan. The hotel is very neat, although located in a small lane making it difficult to find at first but its central location near nice food places, places of interest, train station and markets makes it an ideal hotel for tourists and visitors alike. The hotel receptionists are very friendly and helpful.

Very good and friendly staffs”
First of all, the hotel is pretty hidden away and not accessible by cars. If you have booked this hotel, remember to print and pinpoint it on the map. Trust me, it took me 2 hours to look for the hotel. Location wise it is not that bad, near a pretty busy crossroad. But don't take this comment as the hotel is noisy. It is not as it is hidden away near the crossroad. What surprises me is the friendliness of the staffs. As my mandarin is pretty bad, they took the time and have the kind of patience to help me. Two thumbs up seriously. Just don't compare it to a 5-star hotel, the rooms were clean albeit it being pretty small. It is more like a budget family run hotel. The finishing touches they made to the hotel is nice and friendly. The hotel do not have a restaurant. The breakfast is served by a restaurant nearby. But they take your order on a card when you check-in. Very helpful to explain to you what they serve, as I do not read Chinese. And the patience they have is very good. Will I recommend this hotel to others? Yes. Will I return to this hotel? Definitely. In conclusion, the friendliness of the staffs made me forgive what the hotel lacks. Tainan is my first stop in Taiwan. The people in Tainan is so friendly and helpful that it took me by surprise. I guess to experience the friendly culture of Taiwan, one have to visit Tainan. When I could not find the hotel, one lady actually rode on her scooter around to help me for some time but she as a local also could not find it. But the 2 hour wasted was well forgiven due to the friendliness of the people there. A must visit to Tainan and Lai Chi Te Hotel. Great!

Lovely nice hotel but small bathroom”
We had quite a problem finding the hotel initially as it was our first time to Tainan. It is situated in a side lane along a very busy road. The hotel is very clean and looks very new. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. We booked 2 rooms and one room's bathroom was particularly small. We asked for a change to a room with bigger bathroom and the staff was very helpful to let us change, very friendly staff. I think the hotel has no twin beds and so may not be suitable for some guests who prefer individual bed. Otherwise a great budget friendly hotel. The hotel provided us with complementary taxi to the Tainan train station on check out.. though a short distant but it was a very thoughtful gesture, definitely a plus! Breakfast was provided with options of local or western. Local breakfast was taken at a nearby local eatery serving typical tainan food, nice food. Western breakfast will be delivered to your room. There are plenty eating places around if you don't want the hotel breakfast. Overall a great hotel !

Great location! Walking distance to food outlet, convenience store and tourist attractions! Clean and nice room! Worth the price! And what make this hotel special is their staff! All the staff there are super friendly and helpful! They are genuinely nice and this is my greatest hotel stay experience ever! Thank you very much and applause to their staff! Helpful Staff With Great Value For Money”
The hotel is located quite close to Fort Provintia. You can catch the shuttle bus 88 or 99 from there which takes you to the popular attractions in Tainan. Moreoever, the staff is super friendly and always make sure your needs are taken care of. Overall, I'd say this hotel has a great value of money.

New hotel and new room”
This hotel is new. Everything is new. The location of the hotel is inside the lane of a main road. The entrance is in the middle of the few shops. Hence, to find the hotel may not be easy, just need to look carefully. The hotel room and facility are well and good. Well, it is near to the "Chih Kan Tower" of TaiNan city.

Clean room and nice service”
A little hard to find the hotel when we just arrived. However, the kind front desk staffs told us clearly in phone made it up. The room is small but clean. If the price could be cheaper, we would go there again.

Very poor sound insulation”
shortcoming: 1. Very poor sound insulation. I think this is the very major problem. Too noisy to sleep especially when your room is situated in first floor or near the elevator. You can almost hear everything outside. 2. Unsteady hot water in bathroom. The hot water will get warm after using for 5 mins. In winter, this is not convenient. 3. Different channel availability of Media on Demand(MOD). You can see over 100 channels on the first floor, but you only see 30-40 of them on the 5th floor. merit: 1. The room is cheap and clean, if you do not have much budget, and you can sleep easily, choose this one.
